The teenager looked down at the Manx when the feline's head inclined back, and she repeated the name. "*********... I'm glad to meet you too."
Penelope couldn't help but laugh at the next statement, causing her dog to peer up at her and give a small huff, "I wasn't thinking about it, really... but I'm used to introducing him first, to be honest. Today I was just... distracted, I guess. Trying to focus on what was going on around me."
She hesitated momentarily, but Penelope thought that now that the panic had passed... she was entitled to -some- kind of explanation. "*********... can you tell me... what just happened? I mean, I know we were attacked by a youma, but the thing with the shouting and the beads and everything?"

Ah yes, the classic "let's barrage ********* with a million questions" game. The manx was very familiar with how this worked. It would be followed by disbelief of some sort. Some blamed it all on a dream. Others had the dreadful "This isn't happening" reaction. And some liked to blame the cat who had been stuck with this job.
"You, Penelope, are a Sailor Senshi. Simple as that! The beads was part of your attack. It's not so much an attack as it is more of a defensive maneuver, but using it effectively and following up with offensive strategies seems to work decently well." Though the words weren't truly meant to be reassuring, there was something about the way ********* made this whole ordeal seem merely conversational that made the Senshi news seem rather pleasant.
When one had been delivering such news for as long as ********* had, it was somewhat necessary to learn how to make the news sound pleasant. If there was one complaint that Iris always had about when she was awakened, it was Astraea's grating attitude.

Penelope was actually fairly accepting of the information that ********* shared with her. She had already decided that she wasn't dreaming or crazy, and she had definitely both fought a youma and experienced the transformation into... what had ********* called it? Ah, yes, a Sailor Senshi. Whatever the heck that was. "So... I'm some sort of warrior, with a shield. And the youma are my enemies... and I'm supposed to go around destroying them? Is that what being a Sailor Senshi is?"
Minotaur climbed as best he could into his owner's lap, squishing underneath the Manx still in Penelope's arms. He rested his head on his paws and gave a huff, settling in for however long it would take for those around him to stop talking.

It was at this point that the cat began to squirm slightly in the girl's arms until she had managed to find her way out of Penelope's hold. She practically hopped onto the dog's head, but then hopped off an away from the pair.
"Being a Sailor Senshi is what you make of it. I would imagine defeating the monsters that continually try to steal the energy or souls of the people of this city would be a high priority, but it is not my place to tell you what to do." With her words, she then fled.

All of a sudden the tiny bundle of fur that had been sitting patiently in Penelope's arms began to squirm and wiggle, and it was only a matter of time before the Manx had gotten free. ********* little paws landed on Minotaur's head momentarily, getting a startled bark from the English Bulldog before the cat began to dash away!
"Hey... wait, I need more... I need better instructions than that!" The teenager began to push at her dog, for the first time feeling that things were not going according to script. If she had been chosen, then she should have been given a mission, a specific task... not left to her own devices! As time passed and her dog refused to budge, Penelope's tone becoming commanding, "Minotaur, OFF."
Minotaur looked up to her, still refusing to budge and let her off of the ground. He had had enough of this crazy walk and just wanted to go home. He made this perfectly clear by gripping the long part of his leash in his teeth and plopping it on top of Penelope's hand. The teenager sighed, taking the moist leash in hand. Only then did the pudgy Bulldog stand, allowing her to get up also. For a brief moment, Penelope considered following *********, but then, looking down at Minotaur (who was already straining against the lead in the direction of their home), she realized just how tired she was. Perhaps it was only natural, given the fact that she had spoken with a talking cat, transformed into some kind of soldier, defeated a monster, and then turned back into her normal self.
She sighed and nodded to herself. Yes... that was quite enough for one day. Penelope began to head home, speaking down towards her now happy pup, "Alright, boy, alright. Let's go home... I'll just figure all this out later."
