Despite himself, Soul snorted, starting to laugh helplessly. "What a way to ruin a moment," he teased. "And can you promise they won't do bizarre things to my mind? I would very much like to remain... ah... unaltered."

"Dude, if you do something crazy, I have to remember it so I can tell others about effects other than the intended. But I'll try not to laugh too hard or extort you, okay?" She bumped him again, and then raced off ahead, sending a laughing look over her shoulder at him.

"O-Oi -- hey -- wait up!" Soul snatched up the shell, then ran after her, trying to catch up without sending himself sprawling. He couldn't see quite as well with the shell taking up a good chunk of his field of vision, after all.

Ghost laughed as she ran, then quieted down and circled around behind Soul so she could sneak up behind him while he ran. "Why are we running?"

Soul shook his head as best he could with the turtleshell still in his mouth. "You started it," he pointed out, cheerfully, as he turned to face her. "All I can do is follow you until you get to wherever you're going."

"I suppose that's true, " she said thoughtfully, then slowed her pace so she could take the shell from him without causing injury. "We're almost there, anyway. Wanna grab a couple more of those purple mushrooms over there? I heard at the festival that they were good."

Willingly, Soul trotted over and picked the mushrooms, dumping them into the shell as well. "How many mushrooms do you know about, anyway? All I know are a few of the safe ones, and I eat those. I've never experimented."

"I have. The bright ones are usually the ones that cause dreams, but there are some of the brown ones that do the same. But I think we need the bright ones, because from what I hear, they cause the most intense reactions. Which is what I'm looking for." She had dropped the shell to pick a couple of reddish mushrooms from her side and then added a couple of brown ones for good measure.

She studied the mushroom he offered, then shrugged and said, "I dunno. Probably can't hurt though." It wasn't exactly true, but probably if they mixed it in with the others nothing horrible would happen. Hopefully. "Might as well use it, too. Throw it in, and let's go! I can see the Mound fro here!"

"There?" Spotting the mound ahead of them, Soul picked up his pace, curiosity getting the better of him as he raced ahead of Ghost. He had to admit, Ghost had him a little excited about what was going to happen -- and what might show up as a result.

"Yes!" she cried and galloped hard through the mud to reach the looming mound. "We need the north side! The north!" Her directions were yelled as she ran to the right, and stopped where two trees grew together. "Here. Here's perfect!"
