I'm offering Bane for Anze - But here's the thing. I feel like he can fit into plots #2-4. That's right.
Bane was an old philosopher from ancient times, a typical seeker of knowledge and has had a huge interest in - you guessed - science. This road led him to a literal dead end though, as he managed to get his a** tripped into the Underworld after manipulating forbidden knowledge to combine with experimental projects. He was trapped for ages, but pure willpower kept him in survival, and thanks to a miracle, he found his way back to the living world - only to come out looking like some monster. After ages spent in a literal Hell, he gained another sight that distorts reality, leaving him with half his vision of the real, and half of some figments of an alternate plane of existence - sometimes seeing alternate time periods in another's life as well. Bane's wisdom in magic and knowledge of science is usually masked by his repulsive behavior in adjusting to real life again, thus causing him to look more of a freak, though few know how intelligent he really is.
All this can cover plots #2-3. Since you're picky about #4, and plot #2 leads to this one, that can be up to you. xD

HEY YOU. I'd like to offer up Weapon to Joy for some interaction. I'm not going to link a picture because you should know what he looks like. |D; But to the point. While he's not technically an alien he's not normal either and it's kind of obvious. And he also needs lots of help coping with his new life and what not. So maybe she can take in interest in meeting him because he's not normal and that can lead to the helpingness. Yeah? 8B Hurdur.
