Crysta fell quiet as she looked up at the hanging mistletoe. She had not realized that in her excitement at spying the hanging plant, that she had inadvertently dragged Jayke underneath. Thus spurring on the glares of the chaperon's that looked upon them. "Huh?" She said at first. Her blue eyes swept around to witness the watchers that Jayke had just pointed out. Then, as she turned her gaze back to her friend, she watched him puckering his lips.

Crysta lifted her hands to cover her mouth, only to stifle a small giggle. He looked so SILLY! Crysta did not drop her hands from her mouth right away. Instead she threw them up in the air and turned a little to face the bulk of the crowd.

"ATTENTION party people!" Crysta shouted rather loudly. "In the name of Saturnalia I hereby claim the very first Mistletoe kiss of the Ball!" she declared for any and all to hear. Thus spoken, Crysta turned back to fishy lips Jayke. She dropped her hands some, but only so she could reached out to try and grasp her friend by his cheeks, intending to smoosh them just a little bit more before leaning in to smack a uninhibited lip squishing kiss on Jaykes mouth.

The blond boy couldn't hep but laugh nervously. "I am trying to relax." He glanced down at Jin and gave him a crooked smile. When they finally entered into the party, it looked as if Santa had thrown up the holidays. There was so much cheer everywhere that it was almost sickening, but oddly cute. Evan's eyes were aglow with the twinkle of the lights. There was the dance floor, picture taking, food, and various merriment.

"How about we head to the food before it's all gone?" He set his glance over to the buffet. Dancing would be hard... He couldn't keep good timing at all. And he didn't feel that photogenic, but he did want a memory of their night. "How about we head over there after?" Evan quirked his head in the direction of a itte disturbance. "Looks like someone got caught under the mistletoe... Better watch out!" He chuckled a bit, a small blush creeping up to his cheeks.

"If you must know," Mai fanned herself dramatically with a small giggle, "Mai is my middle name. My great grandfather would call me that when I was you and it sort of grew on me." She laughed, "And it also made an impression on the family. They began to do that too." She paused to glance around the room full of holiday cheer. It wasn't too bad of a mess, but it was to be expected this time of year. Mai turned her attention back to Percy with a smirk, "I can tell them you've been on my reserve list. But other than that..." She nodded her head, "Where would you like to go first?"

"Sure! I want to take lots of pictures of tonight. Of us, our friends, random people, everything!" She grinned at Nico before hearing someone proclaim the first mistletoe kiss. Nari turned, camera raised and snapped a pic of the cute couple in some rather creative holiday outfits. "I hope I get more pictures of them." She mused before looking back to Nico. "You know, I bet you could. We should go fabric shopping some time. I'd love a little doll dressed like me! That would be adorable! you should make one dressed like you too, and I can display them together." Kaminari nodded happily. "Oh, the line's moving." While they were talking, the line moved so they were next for the Santa pictures. It was a good thing they got here before the line was too long!

Indy's face scrunched at Naois when he mentioned mushrooms. Oh, he was teasing her! She knew it! "Oh I sure hope not! Otherwise you'll have to eat them all for me." But it was fun that he remembered her hatred of the disgusting fungus. When Naois lead her closer to the Santa line, she blushed a little. "You could sit in my lap instead." She laughed, before thinking 'Or I could sit in yours.' That thought made her blush darken a little. She saw someone ahead of them with a camera, and she wished she'd thought of that. She'd have loved to get lots of pictures of the evening too. Oh well. A picture with Naois was all she really needed.

"Oh, I'll watch out. And when I find a good chance, I'll drag you under the mistletoe. That way I can kiss you without embarrassing you. ... At least not too much." Jin teased, laughing. "Hmmm food sounds like a good idea. Do it fast before all the food stuff is gone." He shifted his arm, sliding his hand to Evan's and gently holding the taller boy's hand as they wove through the growing crowd towards the food.

However, Jin saw quite a selection of some pretty gross things. Spinach puffs, spinach salad, steamed spinach, spinach dip. It was stomach churning. So he skilfully avoided the table with them as he brought his date to where they could find plates to load up with treats. They had a good number of healthy things mixed in among the cookies, pastries, and other sweets. There had to be something here for everyone! "What's your favorite Christmas treat?" Jin asked, looking at Evan as they stood before the table filled with puddings and cake.

Melina smiled indulgently at the other two girls, before she tuned back in on the words "single" and "guys." The she-cat was always into a game of who can score the most numbers.

"I don't know whose single, but I do want to sink my claws into some of them. There are quite a few good looking boys here, but I bet they all go to that wretched Applereach or Valley High." She put her hand dramatically to her cheek for a bit of flair as she continued, "I do wish that there were more marriageable prospects around. Father simply won't allow me to date anyone from a lower class than us."

Melina's smile turned wicked as she finished, "But what father doesn't know won't hurt him, right?"

Eliza kept her cool, but she would have attacked under other circumstances. Like if the chaperones weren't watching so closely. As it was, she made a noncommittal noise.

Jeremiah hurried over to Nerissa’s side and picked up her hand to give a casual kiss. She looked lovely tonight and he was going to let her know. Maybe, if Indigo came around he could make her jealous by flirting with Nerissa and a few other girls. Or maybe not. He wasn’t the catty kind and he didn’t much feel like starting to be like that.

“It’s great to see you Nerissa, this is my date Marlon. Marlon, this is Nerissa. She’s the secretary of the club I’m a part of. Speaking of which, how are things coming along for you? I’m all but done on the script for our game.” He was going to keep going on as to that sort of thing until he realized that Marlon might feel left out.

“Anyways, that can wait until the next club meeting. It looks like everyone’s waiting around out here, but I say we can all go in as a group.” He smiled at Maunet to let her know that he was talking about her as well. “I don’t know if we’ll do much dancing, but maybe the four of us can have some fun. And I say we should go ahead, what do you three say?”

Miles felt her touch as if it was fire, but he would keep his cool. He had not a clue as to her dating status and he didn’t really want to get into a fight with anyone over her. She was a cool chick and all, but he’d rather keep it under the wraps. He took her corsage out of the box and slipped it gently over her wrist. “Yes, let’s.”

Nathan's eyes were still more focused on the crowd then his date. It was unusual to say the least. Normally with a pretty girl to deck his arm, he would have been focused more on charming her. Particularly one as shy and clearly innocent as Helena. His concerns of Nari being present were secondary for certain. If he took the time to think of it, she had sort of told him to go ahead and date someone else for this. So he needn't be worry about being himself for Helena. However...

Nicohlas. He regretted the instant the boy was out of his sight that he had let him go off. His searching eyes found his brother, in the line for Santa of all things.Yes, that was right, Nari had mentioned Santa had she not? Nathan turned his attention back to Helena, and saw the tinge of her blush. Ah, the way she kept looking about and away. She was...damn it.... She had been talking to him and he had just tuned her out. Nathan shifted his stance and reached to take Helena by her hand. "I am...so sorry Helena. I do not mean to seem disinterested in you. It is just that...Nicohlas.." He paused his words and turned to glance over the crowd. "This is his first date. He is so excited. He spent hours going through his wardrobe for his outfit. Then the gift..." He glanced down to the bootineer in his lapel and shook his head. "I apologize for not bringing you anything Helena. It is just...he fussed so much over his gift, if I had gotten something romantic for you, then Nicohlas would have wanted to match it. He is too young for offering such gifts. He would not have understood. He is still just a boy and I..." Nathan shifted his position again as he lost sight of Nico and felt a brief moment of panic.

"This is a dance. What if Nari wants to dance? What if someone asks her and he get's left alone? He will feel so left out. And there is mistletoe. I heard someone shouting about it. What if they end up under some? He is too young for that! Ah!" Nathan lifted a hand and ran his fingers through his hair. "I should not have left him go off alone! What was I thinking!?"

When Crysta planted her lips onto Jaykes own, she was only expecting a little bit of soft fleshy warmth. Sure, the moment of squirming on Jaykes part was to be expected. What Crysta had not expected was..well..it felt like a small electric charge on her part. A very unusual feeling it was too! Crysta kept her lips on Jaykes perhaps a bit longer then the tradition required. A chaste kiss though it was, Crysta still felt her cheeks warming slightly. When she released Jaykes cheeks at the small pulling feeling on his part and pulled her own head back, the abundance of energy that she normally felt overfilled with seemed...well..grounded? Her head wasn't buzzing like normal, her thoughts were not racing. She just felt...like a girl who had just gotten her first kiss. Her lips, still warm, curled upwards into a happy little smile. "Best kiss ever." She determined.

Percival let his eyes sweep the ball before them as he listened to Mai. "Well then, because I want to stand out more from your usual group of friends, I think I may just call you Eyota, if it's all the same with you." He cheerfully shared with his impromptu date. Percy did like being memorable, in a good way though. "Huh. How about a dance? I can promise I won't step on your toes." Percival lifted himself up on his own toes and gave a little bounce. "I'm quiet light on my feet and all." With a twitch of his blond head Percy gave Mai a small nudge towards the dance floor. "Besides, in a gown as delightful as yours, you just have to swirl a few times and show off that stylish glitter." He paused though, as a woman in a very lovely pink dress appeared. Looking at her with some surprise, his green eyes widened some. "Oh! Well how neat! Random gift giving!" He looked between the two girls, then leaned in to speak to Aphrodite. "Aren't you supposed to be wearing red or pointed ears though? It would have been a lot more seasonal like and all."

Nicohlas tilted his head to stare at the spectacle unfolding under some mistletoe. His eyes blinked a few times, and he quickly looked up to make certain he wasn't in danger of rolling under any mistletoe by chance. He liked Nari but she was just a friend and...a girl...and that would have been so awkward! Unless it was like a peck on the cheek, that would be fine he supposed. "Of them?" He blinked and grinned some. "I like their outfits. It's very festive!" He agreed with a small nod. Pictures of them would be very nice to work with. "Oooh! I should ask Santa for fabric and thread then for christmas!" Nico jested as they moved up the line a bit more. Nico tilted his head to watch a pretty girl sitting on the false santa's lap. "We should get peoples names and addresses...so I can send them the dolls I make afterwords. Should we ask the kissers after we see Santa?" Oh! And a brilliant idea struck him then. "Oh oh oh! I should get little animal plushies to dress up!"

Oh that face was just precious! Naois poorly hid his giggle at the look on Indigo's face. "Well I guess I could be your holiday hero then. I'll eat all the fungus on the plate...but let's leave enough room for some cookies huh? This is a Christmas party after all, they have to have some really good cookies...think I can pocket a few?" He murmured thoughtfully. His uncle would love to have a few cookies to munch on after work. He paused then and gave a small laugh. " Me in your lap? Naw. How about if you sit in mine. It would look less funky, and we'd see more of you in the picture too." He said with amusement.

Nerissa tilted her head as Jeremiah would actually take her hand and give it a kiss. Ah. Ever the charmer wasn't he? She shook her head some, enjoying the brief moment of amusement. "I almost didn't come, but my mother had her heart set on seeing me all dolled up. How could I say no?" She replied with a nod of her head towards the feathered accents. " Ah, I'm all caught up on the scripting to tell the truth. I've just been playing around with some of the bits, you know. Tweaking things...but that's club talk and we are at a party now Puck. It's really nice to see you found yourself a cute date Puck...maybe I found one too?" She could not help but say with a small laugh before turning to Maunet. "My name is Nerissa. Care to escort me inside?" She asked with vague amusement. A girl date? Sure, why not? Nerissa wasn't a prude, she didn't mind a little female friendship. "Can't say I know you though, what school do you go to?" Her head bobbed some in agreement with Jeremiah's suggestion. The four of them huh? That could be fun...

Sweets were the way to go at parties like these. The best sweets could be found at these types of events. The best and the worst. With a quick sweep, Evan's hazel eyes picked up on what exactly he wanted. "That cake looks really good!" His eyes lit up as he reached for the slice, bringing a chocolate chip cookie along with it. Before he had his plate situated, he was taking small bites with a wide grin. "You should try it." He scooped up a sizable piece and held the cheep plastic fork close to Jinju's lips. "Uh..." He backed off slightly, "It's, uh, really good."

"There's nothing wrong with that." She giggled, "It would be a refreshing change and I'm sure not to forget the buy who saved me form not having a date? That made you memorable enough." The coy smile never left her face as she continued on with their conversation. Her dark eyes darted around the dance floor excitedly. "I hope you keep your word." She gave Percival a stern look. "We don't want any accidents like ripped dresses or stubbed toes." She took that time to smooth out any wrinkles in her dress. "I'll try my best not to get in your way as we dance."

Mai turned at the sound of a cheery voice wishing her season's greetings. "Why, what is this?" He held out her eager hands to receive the gift. "Of course I will accept it! I wish I could give you something in return." As Percival went on about ears and the color red, she carefully opened the box revealing the onyx pendant. It felt so special as she held it up into the light. "Oh, it's beautiful!" She adored it as the light reflected off its surface. "Could you put it on me?" She offered it to Percival hoping that he would place the elegant onyx pendent on her.

Evan was like a kid in a candy store! Of course, Jinju should have known the blond was fond of sweets. What with the candies they'd made for their presentation, the icecream... But it was still cute. He suddenly found a piece of cake being held towards his face and blinked in surprise as Evan offered it to him, then seemed to have second thoughts. Before the fork got too far away, Jin leaned in and took the offered bite with a faint 'om' sound. Hey, it was pretty good.

"You're right. It is." He said after swallowing the bite. He made sure to load his plate up with goodies Evan wasn't grabbing, intending that they could share and swap. "I wonder if there are places to sit so we don't need a hand to hold the goodies, a hand for punch, and one to eat. I don't know about you, but I don't have three hands.

Was Miles acting a bit odd? Chisato watched him closely a moment as he slipped the flower on her wrist. It settled nicely with the silver bracelets she wore.

When they reached the dance floor, it was already becoming crowded, and Chisato was a little uncomfortable, thus causing her to move closer to Miles as they'd start dancing to a rather interesting rock rendition of 'Jingle Bell Rock.'

She had to laugh at that. "You're my holiday hero~ Save me from the evil fungus, Naois!" She pretended to swoon against Naois, making a few people look at her strangely. She didn't care. This was fun!

"Hm. With me in your lap we can get maximum view of both of us together! Since... well, I'm smaller then you." She laughed, then thought about the food. "I bet when the party is winding down, they'd gladly let you take some leftovers. It's the season of sharing, right?" She wondered if she should take some home for her brother, but he had been anything but nice the last few days, teasing her about her date with Naois and being a general pain. He didn't deserve cookies. If she ended up taking any herself, she'd just have to squirrel it all away in her room where her brother couldn't get it.

"Yeah, of them. I mean those outfits are great, don't you think?" Their conversation was on hold for a moment as they were called up to have their pictures taken. They got individual photos with Santa, and some couple photos. Nari couldn't keep serious when they were having their pictures taken, and so they'd end up with rather unique pictures of the two of them. Though one photo was with her being composed and sweet. It took a few minutes, but finally they'd be given a CD that had their photos on it. Professional prints would be available to order through the city's website after the party.

"Hey, mind if I take the CD first,? I'd like to put the pics on my computer." More like she'd want to select the ones to put in the photobook for Nico's Christmas gift.

It seemed the people who set up the party had a sense of humor. As Nicohlas and Kaminari left the room with Santa, they stumbled under some mistletoe.

Oh dear, the chaperones are looking, you know they enforce the rules. Now what?
