Catch the Pokemon Riku would indeed manage, though eyes shut tight, the Turtwig's legs continued flail about as it tried to keep charging forward. Unfortunately, while the Turtwig had been brought to a halt, Sir Aiden had not. The Growlithe would soon find there was a bit too much spring in his step.
In the span of a single moment, the Fire-Type would knock into the back of the girl's knee, causing her to tilt forward and lose the weak hold she had on the Turtwig.
As the grassy tortoise hit the ground, she would bounce once, twice, then land perfectly on her feet...but as she opened her eyes, they were noticably narrowed upon the Growlithe. She hadn't been looking at the time, but she was quite certain it was the fuzzy faced mutt's fault. Indeed, without meaning to...the Growlithe had started a battle.

The girl felt bad that her grip on the Turtwig hadn't been strong enough. Instead of rolling, even when she felt herself falling forward, the girl accidentally let go of the leaf pokemon. She knew that Sir Aiden's intentions hadn't been bad, he had just been trying to save her from harm's way. The girl was about to reason with the pokemon but her fire dog stepped forward. It meant that there was no reasoning with this pokemon.
Sir Aiden let loose a growl. So maybe it had been his fault but still it was an accident. Flames burst from his maw as he then raced straight through the fire. His coat thoroughly covered in them, his eyes narrowed as he glared at the Turtwig. If it was a fight she wanted, it was a fight she would get. Pushing off with his back legs to give him an extra burst of speed, he ran forward with a powerful Flame Charge!

Ryuu managed to knock him out with a powerful Bite attack, though luckily the pokemon was still barely conscious. With that, the pair were able to capture the Growlithe and he is a good addition to their team.

The Turtwig quivered slightly at the sight of flames, wincing as she felt the tremendous heat even from a distance. Fire! Fire! Oh what had her mother said to do in case of a fire?! Oh! Right, right!
Tuck.
The Turtwig would pull into her shell...
Roll!
...and immediately begin rolling around. Too bad it was in circles. Obviously the technique was significantly less useful in the face of shear blind panic.

Well the little grass pokemon was stronger then he had imagined. The little rolling trick had done it's job for the fire dog had raced past the pokemon, not expecting his opponent to move. Sir Aiden growled slightly. Such a simple trick had managed to catch him off guard. The Growlithe's eyes, well good eye narrowed in annoyance. No, he couldn't keep his guard down. He watched carefully preparing to dodge whatever his opponent threw at him. Most likely some leaves..

Spinning slightly out of control, the Turtwig would rather abruptly pop out of her shell, all four legs slamming into the ground at once. If she were one of her larger forms, the earth likely would have shuddered...as things stood, that was not the case however.
Still panicking slightly, the Turtwig would barrel forward at the fuzzy faced Growlithe, tossing herself at him and retreating deep into the confines of her shell. The dog was about to meet the unrelenting fury of an absolutely terrified Turtwig's Body Slam!

Riku looked as Sir Aiden was slammed into by the other pokemon. She couldn't stand back and watch it! Just as she was about to step in, Ryuu stepped forward.
Ryuu stepped forward in front of the Growlithe and motioned for him to go back. He was going to take things over from here. The Larvitar turned to the Turtwig and his gaze narrowed slightly. Don't underestimate your opponent for the leaf pokemon had already proven to be strong. He stood there tensed and ready to try and dodge whatever attack was coming next!
Sir Aiden was tensed for the next attack to hit. However it never came. The last attack had nearly knocked him off his paws as he growled. This pokemon was really strong or he was weak. The fire pokemon had been about to attack when he felt that his body wouldn't move. As he lay in a sprawl on the ground, Ryuu stood in front of him. The Larvitar motioned that he would continue the battle but he had forgotten that the Growlithe couldn't move. Riku made her way forward and picked up the fire dog. Then she went to watch with him in her arms safely from the sidelines to watch.

The Turtwig's shell would bounce off of Sir Aiden after the initial impact, sliding across the ground and slamming rather lightly into a true. When the Grass-Type pulled herself back out, it would be to find that she was now faced with a rather fierce looking Larvitar.
She quivered lightly, nearly peeing herself as she looked into those eyes. Shutting her eyes tight, the Turtwig ran forward in the usual panic, flying herself at Ryuu as she tripped over an exposed root; turning the charge into an impromptu Body Slam!

Ryuu managed to leap out of the way just in time. The Turtwig had accidentally charged towards him, it seemed. Regardless they couldn't afford to lose this battle. He then watched and his opponent looked disoriented. The look on her face also seemed scared. If she was scared, why was she attacking? The Larvitar shook his head before racing towards her. He was aiming to Bite her!
Sir Aiden felt relieved when the paralysis disappeared. At first he could feel his limbs slowly start to work, starting from the simple wagging of his tail up to simply sniffing with his nose. He climbed out of the girl's lap and sat calmly down. The fire dog watched the battle, wondering where he had gone wrong. It was a weak grass pokemon so how had he been defeated so easily. Ears flattening slightly against his head, his fur bristled as well. He needed to get stronger...

In the face of such a thing, the little Turtwig would take the only reasonable action. Black eyes going wide in terror, she would tuck into her shell shaking like a leaf in the autumn breeze. An almost stupidly simple defense, but would the Larvitar's teeth be able to break through that though shell?

Ryuu leapt back, a little annoyed. He hadn't been able to crack through the shell of the Turtwig. It had been harder then he had expected. The Larvitar was surprised considering he liked to eat rocks and dirt and other such things. Things could get tricky from here. But everything in life could be risky and there was no point in holding back in battles. He lunged forward, jaws wide open as he prepared to Bite his opponent. This time he would place more power in the attack despite this being a counter, he wasn't afraid. Chances needed to be taken!
Sir Aiden watched and felt ashamed. He should've been able to fight his own battles and against a grass type as well. The fire within him must not be burning very brightly. He sighed, as he watched the battle between the dirt eater and the turtle pokemon. Where had he gone wrong? His flames hadn't been as strong as normal. But why? He had rested and ate when on the poke-lot they owned... He shrugged it off, not knowing what else to think.

As the Turtwig emerged from her shell, intent on checking if the danger was gone....her eyes would widen once more. Her tail would curl, leaves shooting almost entirely upward...and the faint sound of liquid hitting the ground could be heard. Yes, she was terrified, truly and completely at horror for the situation.
Placed in such a hazardous time, she did the only thing she could do. She closed her eyes tight, and tried to forget she was even here. To blank her memory of the entire battle and what had happened throughout. Ignorance was bliss as they say, and to that end she was trying to give herself temporary Amnesia!
(16 - 5) + (11 - 9) = 13 DMG + Flinch (Turtwig in unable to counter)

Ryuu looked at the pokemon strangely. Had she really just peed? The Larvitar wondered what exactly she was doing but his attack had been strong enough to land this time. While his opponent was still there, he aimed to finish her off. He just wanted to knock her out, not really harm her or anything. Ryuu opened his maw once more to Bite her!
Sir Aiden saw the strong attack by the Larvitar and looked a little disappointed. The Larvitar was doing a lot better in the battle then he had and he hadn't even been able to land a single attack. One attack landing from him probably could've burned the Turtwig if it had been strong enough. Ears flat against his head, he laid down head on his paws while continuing to watch the battle.

Pain would cause the Turtwig to snap back from her stupor. She could forget many things. What she ate for breakfast. What she'd done last Tuesday. Whatever it was she'd been doing 5 minutes before this battle had started; but this unrelated pain, in this very moment? Not a chance!
Whining pitiably, the Turtwig pulled herself into a shell, curling up into a little ball there in. Maybe if she just ignored him long enough, he'd go away.
(18 - 1) + (11 - 9) = 19 DMG
