Demon was well rested, and after thinking more and more about the little 'wolf pack' he had made a deal with an idea had started to form. They could be useful to him. He knew that, and use them he would. Demon had nothing against using those he needed in order to get what he wanted... and if it took some begging, bargaining, promising, lying or stealing then he was more than willing to do it. In truth Demon did intend to keep his agreement with the pack as long as they proved useful, right now he simply wanted to assert his dominace, take back the pride that was stolen along side Cherish. Perhaps that was the truth to his obsession? He couldn't stand the idea that anyone or anything had dared to make a fool of him, had managed to sneak past him to take her in the first place... no. It was unacceptable, and it was a lapse in judgement that he would soon make them pay for.
Leaving his now empty and quiet cave he left for the foot of the mountain. Holding back his head he let loose the call he had informed the Wolves to jump to. This would their first test... would they pass? If they didn't, he would gladly hunt them down and slaughter them all for the insolence and betrayal. After all, he could no longer afford to show weakness to those below him. "Grr'Gr'Grrrrrrrrr" Now he waited.
Wolf had been helping his mate withe the adjustments, they were making the new den secure, marking the area to scare away things that wouldn't be welcome, as well as digging walls and the such to add a little more protection to their new home..... when he heard it. He froze for a moment, looking at his mate before looking over at the mountain he assumed had been the location described by the beast when they had first met. Part of Wolf had wanted the call to never to come.... but here it was, only two days after the deal had been struck. Wolf wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing, still he looked to Rose and nodded, knowing she would understand. They had discussed it, and Wolf would go up alone, he wasn't willing to risk anyone else. No, his pack, his responsibility. He kissed Rose briefly before smiling softly and running off. It would be ok... it would... he just had to have faith!
It didn't take long for him to reach the base of the mountain, and given how the forest seemed to go quiet around him it didn't take long to locate the beast either. Still, he approached cautiously and slowly, not wanting to come across as a threat or a target, a difficult thing to achieve since you were often one or the other. Wolf remained silent.

Demon was pleased that he didn't have to wait long. For a moment though he focused on the forest around Wolf rather than the creature himself, checking that he had indeed come along. So far so good. Deciding to test the beast Demon huffed, "What took you so long?" He didn't wait for a reply though, wasn't really interested in receiving one. Instead he changed to the topic at hand, he wouldn't waste time in this. He had an objective, a mission he would see fulfilled in order to motivate him to keep his side of the bargain and allow the wolves to stay in his forest - to even call it their own. Everything came at a price. 'I have a task for you and the pack. I need an area scouting out. You will relay all information to me, number of residents, regular movements and activity, anything that seems suspicious or out of place." His eyes focused on the black and white wolf. "Anything that will help me to infiltrate them. You understand.' It wasn't really a question, just as it wasn't really a choice, he was sure the wolf understood that all too well. Wolf felt the urge to growl but he held it back. He was more than aware that he didn't have much of a choice in this, what he did have a choice in was how he carried it out... as long as the task was done he was sure it wouldn't matter how. He would keep Rose with the main pack and the pups, taking only Wrath, Grey and Kouga with him. At least then he knew the wolves would be ok should something try to attack them. It grated on his nerve to do it but he barked out an, "Understood." He took a deep breath, relaxing his muscles in a effort to calm himself, losing his temper here would not do him or his pack any good. Right now they needed Demon, and Wolf wasn't about to give up this opportunity without a fight.

"Good." He replied, a slight growl to his tone, he wanted to be here probably about as much -if not less- than the wolf did. Still, he would be patient, he couldn't rush now and lose everything. He was so close that his skin actually felt two sizes too small and itchy. Soon. Soon he would repay those who dared to take what was his away from him... and when she was back on his mountain he would make his name become so fearsome that all others would quake in fear merely looking at it!
Soon, he reminded himself for what felt like a millionth time.
"There is something that was taken from me. And I will have it back. What it is not important." After all he wasn't foolish enough to give the wolf any type of leverage over him. That would be incredibly stupid, and a fool he was not. "About five miles from here." He gave the directions, told him everything he knew about the family that had taken Cherish -he would not consider them as Cherish's family after all- mentioned what he had tracked when she had been taken. It had taken a while to find the trail again after it had disappeared but now that he had he would not let his chance slip away!
Wolf cocked his head and huffed a little, taking in each detail even as his eyes looked over the kalona's form. He was big, well defined muscles and clearly in shape. He wouldn't be easy to take down should he betray them... but this was a risk they had to take, a risk they needed... a new home. Their home. All they had to do was keep a certain creature happy long enough to earn the land completely.
"Sounds simple enough." He offered gruffly, two alpha's, no matter their breed, so close was never a good thing. "If anything seems too risky though.... I won't put my pack in danger, they've had too much of that." He would stand by it too, even if he was overly selective with who to send. His beta's Kouga and Wrath were good picks, at least to start with. But with the pack expected to expand soon, and possible pups now that the stress was dying down... well, he needed to make sure the den was well protected also. He would get both of these things done. He had to.
With a nod he took off without saying good bye... what was the point? This was business after all.
