What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? Some stray threads from the blanket that Rahnya gave to him on their first meeting on a cold winter day. It's really the only thing he has, for he takes it everywhere he travels.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing rainbow when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?

Abdiel gazed at the Rainbow, wondering if his wish would actually be granted, were he to ask it. He hesitated, a breath bursting through his lips as he asked himself why he was here. He'd gone this long without his father, so why was this the only thing on his mind? He could wish for a family for him and Rahnya. But...his past still plagued him and he needed to figure it out. Rahnya would understand that.

He hated to part with any piece of the cloth she had given him, but he knew it was all he had. He made himself feel better by telling himself that if he didn't give up the stray threads, he'd probably just lose them anyway.

Eyes held boldly on the wishing rainbow he said in a low voice, "My father...I know that I much resembled him, not in actions but in looks, but..." His gaze flickered only for a moment to the ground and back up to the rainbow. He had to make it clear that his actions weren't like his fathers, even if his father did have noble intentions, which was what he hoped to find out. "He's been gone these past 4 years. Him and my mother were so in love that they often forgot that the rest of the world existed, even their own children. Then one day, he vanished. Soon afterward, my mother was gone too. It's not that I need him, but I do need to know what sort of stallion he is. I need to know why he left. Perhaps...if he were to come back, my mother would also return." The questions were burning inside of him, questions for his father. Abdiel's outward appearance did not show any weakness or burning desire, for he masked his features well. "If you find him...then I thank you. His coat matches mine in color, like the blackest of nights. He was a strong stallion, bold and dangerous, but that is all I knew of him. Was he good? I can only hope so..."

Abdiel stepped away from the rainbow. He bowed reverently and then turned away, a trickle of hope raising in his heart. He tried to push it down, though the feeling felt good, like something warm and bubbly creeping up and warming his insides. Though he knew that if he let it, the ice going back down would hurt much worse. Should he dare to hope?

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A casing from a bullet from Velvet Nightmare (his gun).
Short IC Response:
Yazoo frowned. This once more? Last time he heard rumors of a star, and he had wished, mainly due to his heart telling him too. But this time it was a rainbow? Slightly confused, the stallion shook his head, and started to tun back, though stopped. He wished to find Mother soon... She was the only person who could truly aid him in what he needed to get done in order to finish the quest that he had been on since his delusions forced him into this position. Turning back, he moved toward the wishing star, his bright green eyes locked on the colorful creation.

"So now I wish to you, correct? All right... Rainbow, I want to find my mother. I am confused as to how she has eluded me thus far. I wish for her to be returned to me, safely, and unharmed. If you could do this for me, I would be grateful." Yazoo stated, his voice firm.

He reached back with his nose, pulling out a couple of casings from bullets. His eyes flickered, before he rested them down onto the grass, and nudged the casings forward. They were important to him, in a way. Though the bullets obviously were long gone (if they ever existed in the first place) the casings held memories of battles won. He lifted his head, peering at the rainbow with those bright eyes, before turning, and walking away, his ears pinned back against his head.

Who is Wishing?: Aranas
Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: Aranas is a very quiet mouse, who holds great dispair in her heart for the tragedy she caused many years ago. She Is always in hiding, ignoring the littlest of interruptions, ashamed of her past actions, and what she has caused. She wishes for someone who would understand her and take her for who she is.
10 Things I Like: Tribal, black, orange, red, creativity, CC, fire, evil, halloween
10 Things I Don’t Like: Eye rape, normal patterns, judgement
What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow?
Aranas slowly walks over, seeing this bright rainbow. She knows that there must be something special about this rainbow, and maybe, if she wished hard enough, she would be granted her wish.

It had been many years since Aranas had come out of hiding. She feared what others may think of her, and how they would react. Aranas felt guilty for the pain she had caused. You see, and a young mouse, Aranas was always intrigued by fire. She would start small fires with a blade of grass, and extinguish it immediately. She never know the true dangers until that fateful night.

"It was dark, similar to tonight," she told the wishing star, "But it was cold. I was shivering. I just wanted a little warmth for my family." Aranas started to cry, but needed to get the story out, hoping the wishing star would understand. "I.... " she sniveled, "started a small fire, one that would warm the family, MY family." She could barely hold her composure anymore, and broke out in hysterics.

After a few moments, she calmed down. "The wind blew and the fire spread immediately. Suddenly it was huge. I ran as fast as I could, calling for my family as I did. My younger sister, my mother... The next day I returned, and everyone was gone. I called for them again, bu no answer. See what I have caused?" she asked

Aranas lowered her head, a picked up a small pouch of ash from that horrendous night. As she did, she reached with her other hand to grab a clump of hair from her fire markings. "Please take this ash, which could possibly be the only remains of my family, and thsi sacrifice of my own hair as an offering. Please let me meet my protector. Someone that will save me form my misery, and help me heal!"

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow? A beaded bracelet from Enitan
Short IC Response: Hania Shen was ready for a family. He had one on the way and even though it was a little frightening, he was more ready then he had been in his whole life. He had Enitan by his side and now everything was fitting together in the family. The only thing he wanted more then anything was something from the both of them. That is why he was there setting his offering down for a wish. A wish that would hopefully be something the two of them could share in some way. As he laid the bracelet down on the ground his eyes drifted up towards the sky. He felt a small bit of hope creeping up his body and he really wanted this to happen.

Something special and something he can treasure just as much as Enitan, Marika, and the kids the would fill his life soon. He smiled before walking away from the offering feeling like maybe his wish would be heard. Just maybe he would get the dream he had been wanting.

A True Friend

Who is Wishing?: Honovi
Tell the wishing star a little about yourself: "I am a mighty, strong hunter..but, soon I will join the..one I love among the flock. To them I'd love to bring a beautiful male..and someone who could perhaps be a friend for myself. It will be a hard adjustment starting my new life..so a friend would be most appreciated..to make the transition easier. I've never really had a true friend.."

10 Things I Like:
Kirins
Fluff
Feathers
Native American/Tribal look
Long hair * - *
Cerynei
Tribal markings
Tusks
Little braids mixed in hair
Scars

10 Things I Don’t Like:
PINK (Just not on him x n x )
Minis (Definitely not for the flock )
Any Mer/aquatic species (Again can't really go with Honovi)
Too much clash
EYERAPE
Cluttered soq
Clothing
Warhorse/ Draft Lines
Gore/Entrails etc
Big braids (Like the stock style x n x )
What does your persona or your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow? Honovi sighed a bit, he'd been given a choice..few stallions received such a thing and he truly felt..what was the proper term? Honored..he felt honored to have caught the eye of such a radiant beauty..a perfect little gem and, a huntress to boot. He had been given the choice to come to the flock willingly..to go with the mare that had taken his heart or ignore the silly, new feelings stirring within him and, leave her forever. It had taken days of thought but, now he stood on a grassy little knoll with his paws kneading the sun warmed earth. "I have heard of you..wishing rainbow. I know most fear me..they call me a monster, a beast and killer." Flashing a sharp toothed smile he continued. "I will willingly admit to enjoying the taste of flesh..and disliking stupid imbeciles who do not know their place but, A monster I am not. Vanwyn: has taught me to love. As a token of my gratitude..and to make my transition into the flock more..palatable I would like to ask for a friend. A beautiful male to come with me. It may seem strange but, it is all I wish for.." Smiling Honovi bent to nudge a freshly skinned rabbit hide and, a feather snatched from his beloved 'mistress'. He'd meant to keep it but, the stallion would give anything to make Vanwyn and his new 'herd' stronger. With a final glance at the rainbow the male turned back towards his awaiting mistress.

Soquili in search of a relative: User Image
Relation (mother, father, brother, sister, etc): daughter (from before he arrived in Kawani)
Race (first choice): flutter
Race (2nd choice, must be mini, common or uncommon): uncommon/ anything not kelpie ( He has a distinct fear/dislike of anything related to the water, knowing what it does and can do to his wings and ability to fly, so he would never have anything to do with one who was kelpie)
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing rainbow when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
‘I know this is selfish. I mean, I found my princess and we are happy, but still. I had a mate previously, and foals. But there was an accident. I thought they all died. I never had the chance. But I have heard whispers that one of my children survived. I was never there for them, but more than anything, I would like the chance to make up for it. To get the chance to know this child, this being who is part of me and Tezza. Many times have I wished on your cousin, the wishing star. Leaving behind bits of myself and my memories. These gifts have come from my heart, and I do not begrudge them. But perhaps, I have been going about this all wrong.’ The flutter paused in thought. ‘ You are different, are you not? You descended here to earth to be with the one you loved. Did you ever regret it, I wonder?... I have many regrets.’ A few tears trailed down dark green cheeks. ‘I am a bit of a storyteller. I offer you my story.’

’Once there was a foolish young flutter, the only son of the leaders of a matriarchal nomad herd. He was a bit of a rebel, not adhering to the strict ideals of his family. Gender ideals, blood purity… none of it mattered to him. For this, he was considered a black sheep, but it would disgrace his family to kick him out of the herd, or disown him. So they did what they thought was best. They ignored him, allowing him to live as he wished, but refusing to claim him. In their minds, he did not exist.

When he was a young stallion, his family was in the area of a herd of mixed breeds. Their ways of life were not as restrictive, and seemed a better fit for the young flutter prince. It was decided by his parents, who did care for him in their own way, that this would be a better place for him. And if he chose to stay on his own… well, they didn’t disown him or cast him out. It was his choice. And so they schemed with the elders of this herd.

It just so happened the herd leaders had a daughter around the same age as the young flutter. And she was so suggestible and easy-going, it would be a simple thing to plant the idea of her falling in love with the wandering prince. An arrangement that would be beneficial to both herds.

And so, the flutter and Tezza fell in love, as orchestrated by others. But this love was no less real for all that. They were happy. And shortly before the flutter’s herd was to move on, the couple discovered they were expecting. The flutter was elated. He and his mate were going to have foals of their own. He just had to tell his family, and get their permission to stay with his love. Feigning the need to think it over, his parents were relieved. Finally they would be rid of their troublesome son. Taking what would be seen as an appropriate amount of time to think it over, they agreed, provided he would accompany them to the next stop and announce his decision before the other high ranking members of the herd so that it would be official.

Knowing that Tezza was expecting, he was reluctant to leave her. What if something bad happened to her while he was gone? If that was the case, he would never be able to forgive himself. But Tezza insisted he go. That way they could be together and it would be right. She did not care that it meant he would be gone for months. She wanted them to have his herd’s blessing and their life to be started off right. So with heavy heart, he left her, travelling with his birth herd back to their main meeting place for the last time.

The journey was long, uneventful on his side, though he was plagued by fears and nebulous concerns. What if…? But he returned and none of those fears were realized. And Tezza was more beautiful than ever, glowing as only an expectant mother could. Their life together was idyllic and he was truly content for the first time in his life. They discussed their hopes and dreams for the future. And he would tell her stories, or sing, and cater to her every whim.

Then on the day that should have been one of the most happy and magical of his life, tragedy struck. Tezza knew that morning when she woke that that day the foals would be there. She also knew that the flutter would overreact and be overly protective and, quite simply drive her nuts. She would have to find some way to get him to leave her alone for the foals to be born. She sent him off on an errand to collect her favorite fruit, a journey that would keep him busy at least half the day, which should be enough time. And he would have such a pleasant surprise when he returned.

Blissfully unaware, the flutter left, determined not to be gone for very long. He knew the foals would be coming soon, and he was more than eager to meet them. To be a dad. He wondered about them. Who would they take after? Would they be dark like him? Or would they take after their lighter mother? Would they have his wanderlust, or Tezza’s tendency to daydream? Would they be healthy? It didn’t matter to him. He would love them regardless.

He went about his task with a cheerful, light heart. Not noticing the passage of time until the afternoon sun shone in his eyes. Realising how long he had been gone, he felt the sudden need to get back to the herd. He shivered even though the day was warm. There was something wrong. He needed to return to the herd and Tezza as swiftly as he could.

What greeted him when he returned was a sight the flutter would never forget. The sight of broken bodies lying on the ground, drenched with blood. And several wicker baskets crushed torn, and blood spattered. The sharp tang of blood in the air filled his nostrils, making him nervous. What if whatever had done this was still around? He couldn’t tell if it was safe or not.

Just then he caught sight of Tezza, as she twitched and tried to move. She was alive. He rushed over to her side. ‘My love… baskets… gone… foals…’

‘Shhh, don’t talk.’ He murmured as he leaned down and nuzzled her. ‘I’ll go get help. You’ll be alright.’ Then her words sank in. His foals… their foals. She had given birth, but they were gone? Dead?

She struggled to speak some more, as though she had a message that was more important than her life.’ No guilt…. I want…. Want you to live…. Find love again.’ The light in her eyes faded as the life left her body. She died, even as he stood there and was able to do nothing.’

The flutter stallion choked up, remembering the horror and helplessness he’d felt. Unable to tell any more of the story. ‘Where you were lucky enough to be with the one you love… I was not so lucky. And perhaps I was not meant to be happy with Tezza and those foals were never meant to be… Nonetheless, I still want… I mean, maybe I shouldn’t ask for so much. Now that I have done as Tezza had asked. I found one whom I love, gods forgive me, more than I did Tezza. I will have a family of my own this time. And I shouldn’t be greedy, but if my child is alive somewhere out there… I would like the chance to find some closure? Redemption? I don’t know. I just want to find them. You should be able to understand…’ He shook his mane and backed away. ‘Thanks for listening…’

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star Rainbow? His story, and his tears of bitter regret and a broken heart.

Would you like for it to be tikified?: Y- since it is not clear what happened to her after the attack, no one knows who raised her, how she survived, or truly anything about her other than she exists and is the daughter of Laures and Tezza. So any accessories/tattoos etc could give hints to her past.

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? An admission of caring about someone. Don’t knock it, that is a seriously rare occurrence. Technically he also left hoofprints.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing rainbow when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?
It had been a long, long time since he had been home. The stallion stared up at the vivid rainbow that seemed to split the sky in twain. He was unable to pretend, at least well enough to fool himself, that there was not some small part of him that wished to share the sight with his mother, or one of the sisters he had left behind before he ever really knew them. Mother had not intended to have a ‘family’ that consisted of herself and a foal. She had always dreamed of more, a real mate, a real family, a real home. Korev… Korev had only ever been in the way of that dream. A constant reminder of youth’s careless folly and a dashing stallion that had vanished with the wind perhaps even before he had known about the pending basket. Korev hoped he had not known, but only sometimes in the quiet of his own thoughts. To the world, he was tough. Aloof. He needed no one, and wanted no one.

Except maybe sometimes, just a little bit, he might wonder where they were. How they were faring. His mother and her mate and her family, the one she had deserved. She never cast him out, which was why Korev so strongly felt that she did deserve her family. But he had only been in the way. He would only ruin things. A blight on the perfect family. Pah. Who needed family anyway? Korev snorted, tossing his short mane irritably from his eyes. His father’s eyes, yet another reminder for his poor mother. Bad enough that he be around, worse still that he look like the stallion who broke her heart and nearly broke her dream before the healer came and mended it as best he could.

They did not need him any more than he needed them, but, still. Maybe, just a little…

“I hope they’re doing well,” he grumbled to the sky, to the great wash of color that stretched across it. “If you really do grant wishes or whatever. Not like it’s a big deal or anything,” Korev added in a mutter, laying his ears back irritably. If someone caught him wishing his stupid family well on a stupid stupid swath of color because of some totally dumb rumor or legend or whatever… honestly this was more embarrassing than wishing on a star. A rainbow. Seriously. “Maybe I wouldn’t mind seeing them again. Sometime…” No really, what was he doing. “Peh, you can’t hear me,” he growled, turning and stalking away. “You’re just some pretty lights in the sky.” As if lights and colors could ever grant a wish. As if he would ever make a wish like that…

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow? Echo's Song places her beaded bracelets on the ground having taken one from each leg. She got a stranger to bind them together with string. On top of this she also lays a small pile of local flowers and a feather from Drad's mane. She also includes a small piece of each of the baskets that her children have emerged from.
Short IC Response: Echo's Song glanced up at the colorful arch in the sky. It felt different to stand underneath this wonder of nature. During the past years that she had spent at Dradneos's side the mare had felt a change in both her and the stallion. She had raised her family well. It still left her with empty place in her heart that she couldn't have any more children but perhaps the rumors that she had heard would help with this dilemma. She had come here alone and without Drad's knowledge. It would be her surprise to her mate if something were to come as a result of her endeavor.

"I don't know if speaking my heart's desire works or not but if I could ask for your blessings I'd be forever grateful. I know that Dradneos would be thrilled if I were to present him with more foals ... impossible as it would be for me. I would be ecstatic as well. Please take my wish into consideration," the mare paused before smiling softly. "Thank you Lono. May you continue to find happiness in your own pairing with your Laka."

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing star? A kukui nut necklace.
Short IC Response: What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing rainbow when he or she comes to ask to find their relative?

Naniahiahi stood by the shore where she could feel the waves lapping against her hooves. It was early in the morning and sleep eluded her. Her hazel eyes, hazy from the lack of sleep, did not seems to take in the fading night as day brightened the sky. Her thoughts instead were with her family across the sea, recalling the cooling nights by a crackling fire with her younger brother.

She recalled the music he made with his hooves on his makeshift instrument, similar to a two-legger's drum. Her heart thrummed to the beat of his music and with the beat, she would dance and integrate her own sounds into the music with certain movements of her body. Through kukui nuts on her ankles, she would create a clicking noise that would highlight parts of his song. She was inspired by his music, and he was inspired by her dancing.

The music faded away from her thoughts and her hazel eyes refocused to her current situation. There was no fire, no music, and no dancing. Just simple loneliness. Her ears zeroed into the rhythmic lapping of the waves and drew her attention to the reflective waters. Following the waves out to the open waters, she noticed the reflection of the sky in the water. The mare squinted her eyes when she noticed something unusual about the reflection of the sky. There was a colorful streak across the water's calm surface. Drawing her gaze upwards, her eyes widened at the sight of the rainbow.

The rainbow reminded her of a story her mother told her as a young filly of the legend of the god Lono and the goddess Laka. It symbolized his descent from the Heavens to marry the goddess Laka. She remembered the locals praying to Lono for rain, fertility, and for their crops. Would he hear her if she dared to make a wish?

Anxiety bubbled inside of her as she quickly stepped out of the water and into her makeshift hut. Would he listen to her if she made an offering to him? Searching her hut, she scanned her belongings to find something to give up to him. Spotting the something at the corner of her hut, she gathered her brother's kukui nut choker and made her way back to the shore. Her eyes scanned the sky for the rainbow and when she found it, she closed her eyes in a silent prayer. "Please hear my plea. I hope for my brother's safe journey over the sea, back to me. I will dance in honor of Laka, and my brother will make music in honor of you, Lono. Please allow him a safe journey." Holding the kukui nut choker between her teeth, she hoisted the choker out to sea towards the rainbow as on offering to the god.

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow?A seashell tied to a couple of Diego's feathers with strands from both his and Rosalind's mane.
Short IC Response: Rosalind trotted forward, the shell gift held firmly in her mouth. She placed it, in a spot away from the other gifts. Rainbow Spirit, please accept this humble offering. My mate and I would like very much to have a family of our own. I want to hear the clop of little hooves, a filly with her father's spots maybe or a colt with my roses. It wouldn't matter either way to us so long as the little ones are health... We just want the living proof of our love... With that Rosalind turned and trotted off to return to her sleeping mate's side.

What does your soquili leave as an offering for the wishing rainbow? Alti brings a freshly killed rabbit and Jormungander leaves one of the bone spears from his choker.
Short IC Response:
Alti walked forward the limp body of a freshly killed rabbit held tight within her jaws. A blood sacrifice to the gods in hopes of being granted their wish. Nothing else would do as an offering in the mares mind. She was not a soft thing, she lived to kill and so the only thing worthy of offering was something that took that skill to heart. Setting the carcass down on the ground Alti looked up at the rainbow, it's colors were far too bright and cheery for her liking but she was desperate, as she was certain Jormungander was as well, and if this rainbow could grant their wishes then she would try. What was the worse that could happen? They walk away empty handed...something they were getting fairly used to at this point.

Licking her lips Alti glanced back at Jormungander who had joined her for the journey. They would make this offering together, bringing something they each thought important enough to exchange for their wishes. Her tail lashed out behind her as she thought of their recent lack of success in finding other Kalona and so they had decided to try something more extreme. To ask this apparent wishing rainbow for it's help. As crazy as it may have seemed to her at any other time Alti was willing to do just about anything at this point to rally more Kalona to their side, build their army and finally see their plans come to fruition. She motioned for the stallion to set his offering down, she would allow him to speak first so that anything he forgot to mention could be corrected before they left. Plus this allowed her a bit more time to think on what she would say, she was a mare of action for the most part and wanted to make sure her wish was worded correctly to avoid any disappointment with their possible resulting gift.

The fresh kill was a worthy sacrifice in Jormungander's eyes - but then he expected nothing less from Alti. they might not love each other the way the lesser Soquili did, but they could certainly appreciate each other for the strength they added to the cause. He had thought long and hard about what he would add to her kill as his offering and come to only one conclusion, bending his neck he tore one of the sharp spears of bone from his collection. Trophy's, signs of his skill...the collection of a warrior. Alti offered blood...Jorm made a plea for one who could deliver such blood. "We have heard tales, spoken from the lesser creatures of this earth but none the less seemingly true...and if they are true...then we can only hope that you will see fit to deliver us what we most desire, future Kalona Warriors who might join us in righting the wrongs of this world, help us restore order to the chaos and softness that has overtaken us."

His plea given Jormungander cast the bone spear onto the carcass that Alti had laid down, dark eyes giving the bright rainbow one last look before turning to Alti. What would the mare add? She was not one to shirk her words or her thoughts - that much Jormungander had learned of her in their travels and so he was certain that she would have something to add.

It was strange that they were pleading to a bright streak of colors in the sky...but he was growing short of hope in regards to his fellow Kalona. As of yet they had not found a single creature worthy of joining their army. More pure blooded Kalona were needed in this world - if his hunt had taught him nothing else it had certainly taught him that.

Alti stood quietly as Jorm made his offering both with item and words, nodding her approval of both. It had been a tough decision to trust the rumors of those lesser breeds, yet desperate times called for desperate measures and after a discussion they had chose to believe the rumors and make their plea to the rainbow. The fact that the rainbow was even here gave Alti a glimmer of hope, but she was no fool, hope was a fickle thing so she would not let this moment distract her from the truth of the matter. And the truth was in months of searching they had no found a single Kalona about, their army could not exist without them. "Our kind, the mighty Kalona, are disappearing from these lands. What once was widespread and feared is now so rare that most do not realize who we are and what we are capable of. We have tried endlessly to find our kind, bring them together and reclaim what was ours. Yet an army of Kalona cannot exist without others." Alti paused for a moment before continuing. "Let our gift of blood and bone produce a gift that we can both use, not just for us, but for the entire Kalona breed. Give us the warriors we require, to raise and teach, who will true Kalona and return our kind to glory. Warriors of bloodlust and anger, those who will rise to the top and ensure we, as a breed, stay there where we belong."

With her addition to the offer given Alti glanced over at Jorm. How desperate were they that they come pleading to a rainbow? How many more months could they go on without finding or recruiting a single Kalona to their army? The time for searching had not quite come to an end, but at this point she was willing to try anything. The failures of the past could not be repeated and so she had chosen her words and gift carefully as had Jormungander. Casting a final look towards the rainbow Alti turned and walked away from the area. If the Gods, or whoever they were, truly existed then they would surely reward them for their effort tonight. Until she saw proof, however, Alti would remain suspicious of such things in life.
