"Thank you again, Caoin." With any luck the erras would have some drunks to confuse before the night as over.
Leo took Rio's arm when it was offered and leaned over to give him a more 'proper' kiss, now that he could reach to do so. After that he led Love inside. It looked to be a reputable place- there was the bar, a fair amount of tables, the stage- where a pair of musicians were currently playing and even a small space cleared away for a dance floor of sorts.

Rio was always happy for another kiss, and just as happy to follow wherever Leo led - especially since it was an adventure, of sorts! Granted, there probably wouldn't be anything terribly adventurous going on, but you never knew.
"Looks nice," he said after a few moments of taking in the details of their surroundings. "I like it."

Perhaps not, unless drinking with strangers (at least as far as Rio was concerned) counted as adventurous? No doubt to some such an act might qualify. Leo knew most of the usual patrons of establishment, some better than others. Most were too caught up in their own business to notice them come in, but there were still more than a few curious glances thrown their way.
The D'Angeline was too busy trying to see who was out and about tonight to notice the young woman who practically bolted off the bench to run over to them. She did not seem to notice Rio at first as she nearly tackled his companion in her enthusiasm. "Leo! Thank Elua you are safe! It has only been months!"

For Rio, pretty much everything they were doing counted as an adventure - he was in another world, after all! Even if most of the things they did weren't strictly 'adventurous.' Fun, though! For the most part.
He wasn't expecting Leo to be tackled within moments of walking through the door, that was for sure. By a young woman, no less. The god grinned and watched.

At least he managed to somehow regain his balance before the woman knocked him to the floor. It would have been rather embarrassing even if Rio might have thought it an amusing sight. Leo seemed genuinely surprised to see the woman. "Mariel? Weren't you supposed to be in Marsilikos?"
Mariel laughed. "That was months ago silly...where have you been?"
"Lets just say I've been busy." Leo glanced over at Rio for a moment. Hopefully Love would get the idea to just play along. "Rio, this is Mariel- a lovely performer at the playhouse I was telling you we should visit." He could explain exactly where said playhouse was later, if the god was actually interested in visiting.
For the first time the woman seemed to notice that Leo had not come in alone and she found herself staring at a very handsome man. "Very nice to meet you." She disentangled herself from Leo to give Rio the kiss of greeting. "I apologize for my rudeness."

Why yes, Rio would have been much amused by such a sight, but even this one was rather amusing. He'd been on the receiving end of such enthusiastic hugs before, usually courtesy of Adi. The sight brought her - and how much he missed her - to mind, but those were thoughts for another time, when he wasn't meeting someone who was clearly a good friend of Leo's. And any lady always deserved his fullest attention.
"Enchanted," he replied with a genuine smile, returning the greeting kiss. "There's no need to apologize. I might do the same myself, if I'd gone such a long time without seeing Leo."

"You must be very special. Leo usually comes in alone." Mariel grinned impishly, causing Leo to blush. "Seems I was right."
Leo mumbled something unintelligible and shook his head. Mariel was very good at judging situations and people. She would have made a fantastic Servant if her heart had not been so invested in the theatre. "So what brings you here?" This certainly was not an afterparty, it wasn't rowdy enough.
"Just hoping to see some friends and since it seems I've found a couple. Would you two like to join me for a drink?"
He glanced over at Rio. "I think we have time for that. What do you think?" Though the question was mostly moot, the D'Angeline figured he already knew the answer.

"Am I? I would like to think so," Rio mused lightly, grinning - and grinning a little wider when he noticed Leo's blush. Of course, he knew he was special, and was only being playful, not doubtful.
"I'd be delighted," he answered then, inclining his head. "It's always a pleasure to make new friends."

Rio's playfulness would make Leo blush more, but would earn him a kiss as well.
Mariel would lead them back to the table she had been sitting at before she had enthusiastically came to greet Leo. "So, what are you drinking?"

The god-in-disguise beamed at his companion, always happy with any measure of affection he received...and always happy to follow a woman, because really. Who didn't enjoy that kind of view? Ahem, anyway. Rio reined in his wandering mind (and eyes) before they reached the table, where he'd wait for the others to sit first. If there had been chairs for seating instead of benches, he would have done the gentlemanly thing and pulled them out. What a pity that he couldn't!

"Wine, in my case at least." Because he was a lightweight and there no sense in making Rio have to cart him to bed and tuck him in later.
Mariel giggled and shook her head. "Probably safest with you." Poor Leo had been slipped stronger drinks occasionally at after parties and things had not gone so well. She glanced over at Rio and smiled. "For you, it depends on how brave you are feeling really."

"I happen to be feeling very adventurous tonight," Rio asserted playfully. He had, probably unsurprisingly, a rather high tolerance for alcohol, and while he liked wine, it was not especially exciting. He could conjure up whole bottles of it, after all!

"Joie, perhaps, assuming I could convince the innkeeper to open a bottle." It was not festival season, but this is indeed a special occassion- it was not often that Leo brought friends with him.
