Terra stood just outside the front doors of the luxurious hotel, arms folded beneath her chest, and a foot tapping with impatience. Her gold eyes were locked on her daughter, watching her red headed child fuss over the small amount of luggage they had brought. With long silky silver hair that cascaded down her back freely, a black strapless dress that hugged her lithe figure, and showed off her shapely legs, she didn't look much older then the fiery haired younger woman."Ellie....really.."

Ellie was trying to figure out how to bring the three duffel bags in without multiple trips. With a sigh of exasperation escaping from her glossed lips, Terra finally spoke up. "Ellie, your in no condition to carry that, and also there are bell hops that can take care of that for us." With a finger, she pointed at the two bell hops that stood awkwardly to the side, unsure of how to approach the situation.

Rolling her eyes, she'd turn and stride inside. Her black heels clicked against the floor as she sauntered straight towards the bar. But she would suddenly pause, her gaze locking onto the white haired man sitting at the bar. Hearing the squabbling dragon's she glanced at them, then back to Kuro. A playful smirk graced her lips, as she strode towards the bar counter, stopping to stand behind him. "It has been awhile. Now why would they send you here and with two feuding dragons as well?" She asked him, as she placed her hands on her hips.

Ellie would stand there, watching her mother leave, then glance towards the two well dressed bell hops. She hated to think she was bothering anyone, but if Terra insisted, she'd let them do their job. "Umm...Are you sure you don't need help?" She asked tentatively.

"Yes its fine...go on." One replied before stepping forward to grab a bag.

Releasing a heavy sigh, Ellie slowly made her way inside. Her turquoise eyes studied the hotel lobby in awe, never having seen anything so extravagant before. She clasped her hands together behind her back, afraid to touch anything for fear of breaking it. The crowd around her, and the great amount of power she felt in the air made her feel completely out of her element. She was not able to sort through the energy to find her mother, a little overwhelmed with the power that had gathered within the hotel. It took a moment, but she was able to locate Terra by the bar, and so quickly made her way over. Seeing the white haired man her mother spoke to, she tilted her head slightly, curious as to whom this was. But then among the mass amount of energies that swirled around her, she felt a familiar chaotic one tug at her senses. Taking in a breath, her gaze fell on Darius, and she released a heavy sigh. Tucking a strand of her fiery red hair behind a ear, she grumbled to herself.

Aveline is also in the pool area as well (wearing a Salamanders (green) tee and blue jeans both three sizes too big) to serve shine to competitors that aren't her big brother, not wanting to get involved with the guy that just broke down the wall, and actually glad that security is focusing on him and not the incredibly illegal drink she's serving, when she sees Ellie with Terra (but of course Aveline doesn't know who the hell Terra is).

"Hey Ellie," Aveline greets, coming up from behind, "so what brings you here?"

Hearing her name, she turned around, a look of surprise on her delicate face. "Oh Aveline, I didn't know you were part of this tournament." She said, smiling warmly. It was nice to see another familiar face among the crowd of people.

Her fingers played nervously with the fabric of her dress, not used to wearing such attire. Terra had forced the shy woman into a red dress, that matched the fiery red of her hair that was braided and hung over her shoulder. The silk chiffon spaghetti strap dress hugged her chest, neck line dipping low, and then flowed out loosely around her slender form fabric stopping at her knees.

"I'm sure Thurgood can handle an a** kicking."

Damon waved at Ellie as he walked up behind Aveline. Seemed like he wasn't the only one from the Black Sands coming to the GTB. "I didn't expect to see Thurgood out of bed, let alone entering a tournament like the GTB. Lot of powered up folks come here to test their mettle."

Perhaps there was some kind of secret martial arts or powers Thurgood had that he had never mentioned or used before? He was gonna need something like that to stand up against the crap that was sure to come sliding down this hill.

"Maybe he'll get lucky and face me in the first round." By that, Damon meant it was always better to fight people you're familiar with and won't be out to totally wreck your s**t.

His eye turned to look at his bodyguards, who had settled back down into their chairs and went about drinking and looking around. They were shape shifted into humanoid form however the height, and multicolored eyes gave away the entire purpose.

Before he could stand with his drink to join the two, the man next to him spoke up which tore his attention back to the lad. He chuckled and brought his hand up and ran it through his hair as he spoke "I earned mine with time and stress, unlike some others. The dragons are outside of my control. I would rather travel alone and get some peace and quiet for once." He looked the large man over and smiled some "A man your size and build, I would be an idiot to not assume you are entering the tournament. Are you ready to win it all?" It was a simple question, asked more or less out of conversation starting motivation than actually giving a s**t. He hated these big flashy tournaments deep down and felt they were in it for the money, not for the fighters.

The voice behind him tore his attention a third way as his hairs stood up on the back of his neck a bit. His lips went to his glass as he took a large swig of his whiskey, spinning the stool's seat around until he was facing her as he leaned back against the bar, "I could ask you the same thing, except with a young lady who lacks common sense to call a bellhop! The common sense of your mother I swear, but we still love you all the same." He laughed at his own small burn, a side effect of being an old ********. It was his kid, it was in jest. "Regardless, why are you here and when are you going to come settle with me? You only bitched about it for years and I finally settle and then you are gone." He wasted no time with his opening salvo of comments on Terra as he smiled and took another drink.

Everyone underestimated the intellect of this deranged warrior, appearing more observant than one realized. The cumulative knowledge from his adventures, grueling tutelage from his father, and simply the trial, not to mention errors made that made him grow as a person. Admittedly the dragons were more mischievous than him, quite a feat considering the harassment he bestowed on the bartender earlier. Chugging the drink completely he eyed the stranger making small talk to him, snickering at the reply about his hair. Poor b*****d could not escape his majestic life, probably why he was drowning out his sorrows.

" I'm ready to indulge my primal needs. This tournament is literally a buffet for me, nothing trivial like prize money. It would only go to waste here on women, alcohol, food, and drugs. Imagine those enforcers of yours can accelerate this evening with just one order."

Darius fancied the chaos that could be made just with those two at the helm. Never one constricted by social norms, his hedonist mindset often meant breaking some rules in exchange for a little entertainment. Speaking of entertainment a familiar aura was traced within the perimeter. It was Elli and was experienced enough based on their encounters to know she knew of his whereabouts as well. Engrossed in conversation he could hear multiple events occurring in the background, channeling his malevolent energies intentionally to signal his acknowledgment towards Elli arrival to the hotel.

"Yeah, but if he keeps getting thrashed like this, he's gonna end up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life or worse," Aveline replies to Damon.

No, Thurgood does not have any special martial arts powers or anything like that: all he has is his brain, some basic mundane equipment, his determination, and his rage.

"Actually, you're the last person i want Thurgood to face: I've seen a bit of what you can do, and he's less than a grain of sand on a sidewalk to a urethane wheel to you."

Aveline knows white well that both she and Thurgood are especially vulnerable to non-physical magical powers and abilities. Damon's first TK push would likely crush Thurgood's ribcage.

"Primal needs you say? Sounds like you know your priorities, unfortunate something as tame as this is the only game in town to tide you over." He swirled the drink in his glass with movement from his wrist as he looked back to the two guards who were staring directly at both of them. They looked a bit tense, as if waiting for something to happen. "To be honest, I will be watching you during the fighting. I want to see you crush a man. Bring a reasonable amount of victory and I might have a spot in my organization for you." His attention turned and focused to the drinks lined up behind the counter, complete with several shot glasses. It was his vacation and he had zero responsibility on his shoulders to burden his inner alcoholic. He looked to the man he had been speaking with and noticed his bottle, then back to the display of liquors behind the counter. "Waitress, lets get some shots up here for me and my good man here, six each." Without missing a beat, he turned and spoke directly to Darius "What is your poison? It's on me."

A smile took his face as he felt a bit more relaxed.

" Its my natural habitat and all the quarry is lined up here like a slaughterhouse."

Instant gratification was golden for someone with his simplistic philosophy, one where morality wasn't so complex nor did regulations completely bind themselves to the point of slavery. Maybe it was a coincidence that this stranger ran into him at the bar, but looking too deep into this wasn't his style. Instead, he led his ears to what this sagacious man of stature with two dragons, perhaps rubbing off his anarchic tendencies off on another individual. Corresponding in their attention shifting towards the nice mix of alcoholic beverages, before he could dare think about committing towards something mischievous he was interrupted by the same fellow who slightly hinted at a business proposition should he perform well enough in the tournament.

"If you're going to be a charity case, how about robbing them of all their liquors. Such a venomous substance has no favorites, I crave them all equally in order of toxicity. "

In the pursuit of happiness and of course to entertain himself prior to the combat beginning, Darius aimed to milk this opportunity and really make this stay at the resort one no one will ever forget. Who knows maybe he would make a few more enemies as well as a possible friend.

Terra released a exasperated breath, wanting to really say what was on her mind, but knew it would lead no where. It would help if her crotchety husband would actually tell her where he was once in awhile. The last time she saw him was some tower, but her presence was not welcomed there. Glancing at Ellie, she could see the surprise on the young woman's face as Kurohito divulged who he was to her exactly and to Terra. "Well hun I am ready whenever you are." She replied simply, looking back to him. Though he frustrated her to no end, she still loved this man and knew she always would. "I missed you to.."

Hearing Damon approach Terra glanced over her shoulder to eye him. Ellie to had noted Damon's presence, her gaze moving from the man that was her father to settle on her soon to be husband. But it wasn't a smile that she greeted him with, instead her eyes narrowed and lips curved into a frown. "Yes I didn't expect for Thurgood to be up and around. But I also didn't know that you would be part of a tournament either. Imagine my surprise when Terra came prancing in with the news. And trust me Damon, she was practically skipping."

"I really did." Terra chimed in, glancing over her shoulder once more to smirk at Damon.

Ellie was about to continue, but suddenly feeling Darius's energy crawl its way up her spine, a low hiss escaped from her clenched teeth. Her head turned so she could glare at him, her own energy rising in response.

Terra just watched with amusement, getting comfortable on a stool beside Kurohito, letting the show play out before her.

The waitress overheard the request as she reached under the counter and poured some 151 proof alcohol in the shot glasses. "I am sorry gentleman, we do not stock Ever Clear here. However if you wish to bring some onto the premises, you will need to purchase it at a liquor store."

His face contorted a bit in disgust as he sighed and took the first shot glass up in the line and slid it towards Terra. "I missed you as well Terra, but less talking more drinking!" With a quick swing of his hand he took up the second shot glass in his line and held it up to his new found friend. "Let us all toast, to this man turning somebody into a red mist and getting disqualified from the tournament!" He waited for Terra and Darius to cling their glasses against his as he turned a bit to Terra. "So, is Ellie dating the psion over there?" He asked with a bit of a laugh.

"Liquor store, hell I've got 180 proof right here if you're done with those sissy shots." Thurgood says to Darius, Kurohito, and Terra, as he just happened to pass the bar with about three bottles of his cut moonshine brandy, then hands two of them to the waitress. "If anybody wants to get absolutely hammered, just pour 'em a shot or three of this."

Thurgood figures at least one of these people is a competitor, and he wants to continue his plan of getting them all plastered so he has an advantage on the first round of actually being sober and not hung over.

"Oh well, since I have this booze, either of you want a shot?"
Aveline asks Damon and Ellie.

" Just mix the ******** moonshine into all my shots, tonight we drink like Dwarves. Aye, I certainly will maim someone one way or another."

Enthusiastic over the promise of more potent alcohol within their home brewed concoction. Whether or not this affected his performance for tomorrow mattered little to Darius whose vices took dominion over any hint of rationality. Frankly it was his monstrous endurance that made him brash, albeit it has brought along some torment from overtaking such risks. Ensnaring his callous fingers to the closest glass already filled with a copious amount of liquors, he became anxious to try out this overwhelming brandy that Thurgood has proclaimed as the strong s**t. Deceit could bring one far in any competition, granted he was a professional when it came to ******** himself up on any addictive substances. Watching Ellie squirm to his presence was a bonus for tonight, drawing a perverse grin to unnerve her further.

Leaving the djinn to his stunned silence, Aetyra lifted herself up out of the water and lightly wrung out her hair, her body still glistening and steaming from the relaxing water.

The millstone crashing into the pool prompted a disinterested glance. Lunatics were rather common here, it seemed, though she couldn't say she was surprised at that. Still, the damage to the pool was inconvenient. So much for taking a swim later.

She jogged lightly after Cale, letting the security team handle the commotion. A drink sounded really good right about now.

"Eyo! Grab me a drink too! Something strong, preferably..."
