Sirsce clapped excitedly once the bacon was off her hand. "He's such a good boy!" She smiled before wiping the slobber off onto her jeans. The thought of obtaining candy fled from her; she concentrated wholly on this wonderful little beast that practically vibrated with energy right in front of her. She desperately wanted to squeeze him, but if she squeezed him too hard his guts might fly out, and she didn't think his owner would like that... Or maybe he would, but she didn't think he would. She didn't want him to like it, anyway. That was a good enough reason to avoid doing it, right? Oh, and for the dog's safety too. Sirsce straightened up and turned her attention to his owner, for a change. "How long have you had him, and where did you get him? I like, totally want a dog right now! He's adorable." Richard just didn't understand. She wanted a dog. Like, totally. "I could like, take him for walks for you. Not right now, I mean, but um, maybe later? Um, maybe that wasn't the right question to ask..." She was beginning to turn bright red from nearly divulging her previous plans to kidnap the dog. Dognap? Now wasn't the time to think of proper phrasing. After risking a final, sheepish glance toward Baldwin, she covered her face. "Oh, that totally wasn't the right thing to say..." How embarrassing. The more she thought about it, the more it seemed a good idea to escape the scene before the candyman called the cops for attempted dognapping. Thievery of an animal? It didn't matter; this wasn't the time nor place to stand around considering how the law might label her actions. She needed to go. Or face jail time. She couldn't survive jail though, so it really boiled down to one option. "Um, I gotta go..." She muttered toward Richard, before peeling off through the crowd and back toward the streets of Destiny City.

There was probably some kind of meaning behind both the colour and number of roses if Mercy was going to be so specific about her order like this. Hafwen figured, the smile on her face not once faltering at all as she stepped out of the aisle to stand next to the younger redhead the moment she saw her opening her purse to retrieve the money with which to pay for her purchase. And Fleur's too it would seem if the other girl who had stepped into the shop at the same time as them for her purple flowers wasn't opposed to the offer.
"I believe Mr Dhawan did say that he'll have the red roses ready for you upon your return to the booth so it should be just the pink and yellow ones you'll need?" She gently reminded Mercy, not wanting her to accidentally run into the problem of having a duplicate order because of something as minor as this.

Richard wasn't quite sure what to expect from Sirsce, but her behavior was rather adorable, if not a little downright strange. He loved his dog, a lot more than most people would credit him for, and had it not been extremely busy, he would have loved to have answered all of her questions, with gusto. It was always an interesting story, one that Richard would share for free.
Unfortunately, he never got the chance to indulge her on the tale of how he handpicked Baldwin, the runt of the litter, and how grueling the first few days were with the little hand-sized pup. Nor did he get the chance to consider taking her up on that offer to allow her to walk him (or rather, him pull her along), as before he had a chance to get a word in, she was gone. And Richard felt he was prepared for a lot of things, but a young lady outright leaving in such a frenzied state and he not having a single clue as to what he did to cause it. Usually he knew what triggered their flight away from him, but this was a mystery to him.
A mystery that would have to remain unsolved, as he heard a very thick Brazilian accent carry over the crowd, and immediately, the strange occurrence that happened just moments ago was pushed to the farthest recess of his mind, as he addressed Aitana with a beaming smile and a twinkle of longing in his crimson eyes. "Everything on the table except the display flowers, their containers, and the table itself is candy, miss! Salted caramels are my specialty and can be found in the Kissy Lips arrangement. As for the cinnamon candies, I have a lollipop that I believe you'll like!"
Without even looking at the assortment of lollipops, he plucked one and offered it to Aitana with a smile. "Have this, on the house."
It was one of the free samples, but he didn't bring any attention to that. He wanted her to feel special, and offering free candy would certainly be one way of achieving that.
Iris_virus Once Quick gets back, we shall consult on adding another prize. We want to make sure everyone that participates gets something c: Gwen looked down at Mercy, then at the card, and back at Mercy, and her poker face could fool no one. She managed to keep her smile, though it was forced and polite, and she was about to just cave in and do what the customer had said (customer was always right) until Hafwen spoke up. Part of her wanted to snort and flash the card for Mercy to see, but she bit down that response, more in fear of hurting the girl's feelings and ruining Krishna's shop and its reputation. "I'm going to go ahead and grab a dozen red, just in case. All else fails, Mr. Dhawan will send them back in, right?"Which brought her to Fleur, looking down at the freesia and taking only a moment to find the price tag. "Originally ten dollars, but looks like it got marked down for Valentine's Day, so it's $6.50, plus tax. Is that okay?"She asked Fleur but the question was also directed to Mercy since she was offering to pay for the other girl's flowers. It seemed like such a sweet deal and Gwen could feel her own heart swelling with the warm fuzzies, even if she wasn't directly involved. It didn't matter to her who paid, so long as everything was paid for in the end. She handed the freesia to Fleur as she moved to get Mercy's order, plus the red roses. "I'll be right back with your order then! Let me know if I need to grab more freesia or something else- you can shout to me. I can hear you!"With that, Gwen slipped away to the counter, preparing to dive into the arrangement that Krishna painstakingly arranged the night before. Shouldn't be too hard, right?

Fleur turned quickly to face Mercy, eyes wide. She could have sworn that the younger girl had offered to pay for her flowers. Okay, so maybe she knew she wasn't imagining things, she was sure the offer had, in fact, been made, but it was just so unexpected. She'd gotten flowers before, of course, but not usually on Valentine's Day and never from total strangers considerably younger than her."What? Um... " She turned to Gwen, feeling rather panicked. Her fingers closed tightly around the flowers. "The price is fine." Part of her was feeling rebellious, like she didn't want this. Despite the fact that she wanted to save money, she was really to proud to happily accept from someone she was honestly thinking of as a little kid. A bigger part of her, though, thought it adorable and sweet. It was Valentine's day after all. Buying people flowers was normal. She looked at the younger girl again, this time smiling broadly. "Really? If you want to pay, that would be very nice of you! Thank you! " So she'd get the frivolous flowers without the price tag. She was very happy about it, and smiled at Hafwen. Fleur thought she should be proud of her friend for doing such a nice thing.

Mercy's face fell a little when Hafwen mentioned that extra bit of info that had slipped her mind in the excitement of actually doing something on her own for once. Hearing Gwen say she'd grab the red anyway and the worse that would happen was Mr. Dhawan would send them back - well frankly she just wanted to curl up into a little ball and die of mortification. But she picked herself back up, lifted her chin and called into the back after Gwen. "Miss, I believe I was in error and I apologize - just follow the ticket, I'm sorry if I've made a mess of things." Dignity and poise, dignity and poise. She turned to Hafwen and smiled bowing her head a bit sheepishly at her friend. She made a mental note to buy extra chocolates for her for pointing out that she had messed up - Mercy was new at this being out and about without her parents to call the shots - so she was trying her best. When Fleur spoke to her she turned and gave a quick curtsey, then skipped over and gave the other girl a hug, then skipped back to Hafwen. "It's no problem, the holiday is about giving right? It's like Christmas... but in February."The more - romantic - aspect of the holiday was still somewhat lost on her. Sure her parents tended to make this particular day a date night, but they did the same with their anniversary and each others birthdays - so it really didn't cue in to her that Valentines day was about romance and lovers. It was just - a day, to buy people you like things. She was good at that!

[My apologies to everyone for being absent for so much of this RP! If anyone still needs/wants to interact with Krishna, I am able to do so now. Again, my apologies.] ChibiGingi I'm so sorry you got stuck with all this, hun. I appreciate your hard work, truly! Iris_virus I have no problem adding a prize, and will do so right now!S'all about having good funs. :B The lollipop did not reach it's destination because Krishna grabbed hold of Richard's wrist. The florist had not been overly busy during the time since his customer's had left for his shop. He had every confidence that Gwen was treating them just fine, and it left him with the opportunity to people-watch all of the customers around him. An exotic athelete (Aitana) was as bright as any tropical flower to his eyes. Her demands fit well with his own tastes in candy. Which was why he bothered to step in now. "No, Richard. Cherry."As a general rule, Krishna did not care for candy. He could not tell just by looking whether the transparent, heart-shaped sucker was cherry or cinnamon. However, as someone who made his living off of plants, however, he could tell by sense of smell. He had smelled many a cherry--and yes, even cinnamon bark--in his time. That lollipop was definitely cherry. The Indian grabbed a handful of lollipops, running each under his nose. A look of concentration was clearly on his face. Cherry. Cherry. Cherry. Finally, sweet became slightly spicy, and he seperated this lollipop into his other hand to ioffer to Aitana. "This one is cinnamon."

((*snugs* It's alright Quick. RL happens but it's great to have you back with Krishna once again so welcome back! =3))
Problem averted. The play of emotions on Gwen's face was apparent to anyone who perchance glanced her way and Hafwen was innately thankful for the way with which the shop assistant chose to handle the situation when she could have called Mercy out on that and likely embarrassed the little girl over something as trivial as this. "It's alright Mercy. No harm done really since she hasn't brought the red ones out for you yet. Besides, it was something that could have happened to anyone else had they been in your shoes then."
Turning to smile at Mercy, she crouched down to her level so as to give her a hug, giving her a pat on the back before getting up. "Indeed it is and I think that it was really sweet of you to offer to pay for the other lady's flowers like that as a gift. Valentines is all about celebrating love all around and is not just limited to one's lover or soul mate."
She paused to give Fleur a wink, the next part of the conversation obviously directed at her when she continued. "Don't you think so..?"

((OOC: So sorry this took forever to get to! Either myself or Quick will roll later this evening, around 7 pm CST. Feel free to wrap up your posts at your own leisure, though- there is no rush!)) Inside the store, Gwen was greatly relieved that the situation seemed to resolve itself. If she didn't already feel bad about shopping at another floral shop, she would have felt even worse if she had messed up someone else's order. She was no business woman and knew little to nothing about retail and economics, but she knew that the one thing you couldn't do was mess up a customer's order. Ever. At least she thought so- she wasn't sure which one she'd be worried about more: the customer's wrath, or Krishna's. Best to not invoke either one, she felt. She made good with the order immediately after the problem was resolved, and she made sure to hand everyone their proper purchases, her careful planning uncharacteristic of her and obviously so as she had counted items multiple times, no doubt looking like someone with a bad case of OCD. But she wanted to make sure everything was right, and when all the transactions were done, she was more than happy to see them off, if only to prevent herself from making another mistake. "Thanks for your patience. Here you go!"She looked to Mercy and shrugged, not at all angry with her and understanding why she'd want to double check everything. After all, she'd do the same if she was buying something for Anandi... in fact, she had, but then again, Anandi was almost easy to please. But that wouldn't stop Gwen from trying. "No, it's alright, really! So long as you get what you need, that's all that matters!"She then smiled to Fleur and Hafwen, wanting to give them the same courtesy as she did to Mercy. She wasn't exactly sure what they were going on about or if there was some minor flirting involved, but she wasn't going to stick her nose into their business. Especially when she saw more people beginning to pile into the store! Facing Generals, Dark Mirror senshi and youma were nothing- Valentine's Day in a floral shop would certainly END her! Richard felt that he had everything in the bag with this exotic beauty until he felt someone's fingers wrap around his wrists suddenly. It took much of his considerable will power to not leap in fright, but one could see the short flash of horror in his crimson eyes as he looked to the man that held him. How did Krishna get there so quickly and quietly, and what did he say? "Cherry?"
He looked down at the lollipop that he had plucked and immediately wanted to object. No, it wasn't cherry! He had painstakenly made these candies himself, and he had placed them all in a specific order on the display to where he'd simply have to reach over and pull them without looking, or doing something as crude as sniffing. He wanted to tell Krishna he was wrong, yet, a single whiff of his own confirmed that he had in fact grabbed a cherry.
Which meant only one thing. No, there was no fault in Richard- there could not have been! The thought never once crossed his mind that he had placed the lollipops in the display, so it had to have been one of his employees! What he wanted to do was march into his store and coral them all in the back to find out who did this, but he kept face, even as he placed the cherry back into the slot it was meant to go in, as Krishna passed the cinnamon flavored lollipop to Aitana. His ego was bruised, but he did he best to hide it behind a carefree smile, as he addressed the florist. "Good nose you have there, Krishna. Thank you for spotting one of my employee's mistakes... one that she won't make again."
No, he wouldn't fire her, but he'd give her a scolding she'd never forget. Still, it was best not to focus on that just yet. No, that would come later. For now, he simply wanted to get the customers what they needed and carry on with the day. He left Aitana with Krishna for now, feeling that he had earned the right to service her, and his mood was instantly lifted when he spotted another beauty in the crowd for him to bedazzle. There should be no frowns on St. Valentine's day!Quicksilver the Archangel
