 Klaus Leben As expected, Klaus was separated from the other guards. They wanted nothing to do with him, and he wanted nothing to do with them. It was a fair trade. As he ate, a maid came up to him and relayed Adina's message. He thanked her, and watched as she left. Did he leave to find Adina as soon as he was done eating? No. He didn't see any reason to. Instead, he walked into the prince's chambers and collected his weapons, and then he just went to the balcony that overlooked the garden. He spotted Adina and watched him. What else was he going to do?

Adina Reindheart  Adina was not aware that Klaus was watching him from the balcony as he went around and tended to his flowers. He had a small smile on his face, something he didn't really have anywhere else, at least they were never real smiles. The prince was relaxed in the gardens and was himself, not the spoiled boy that everyone saw. No he was a lonely teenage that just wanted to be loved by his parents. He really only acted out so that the king and queen would pay some attention to him. When he was younger he tried to be the perfect son but that just got nods from the two rulers before they returned to whatever they had been doing. As Adina got older he acted out getting their attention and then he found men. Sure the love wasn't there, but he got attention which he had craved all throughout his childhood. It didn't matter who the men were or what they did, he felt important when he was with them and that was what he wanted.

Klaus Leben Klaus continued to watch Adina, taking more and more notice of how...peaceful he was. Whatever it was he was looking at, Adina looked more real than he did normally. If that was even the right word for it. After awhile, Klaus turned and left the balcony, going down to the garden. He had been told the garden was Adina's personal space, but Adina had sent a maid to tell him where he was. To Klaus, that was an invitation. Walking through the doors, he entered the garden, but didn't get very far before he stopped. "...How are you feeling? From the sleep dart, I mean."

Adina Reindheart Adina saw Klaus walk into the garden a smile still on his face. Once he realized he was smiling he turned away and tried to hide it. He didn't want the other to know he wasn't what he let others see him as. "Im a bit foggy from it but im guessing that will wear off eventually. And you? The doctor looked you over earlier, but the guards don't take kindly to anyone touching me let alone carrying me around when im unconscious. They must have given you a good beating." With the way Klaus still seemed to be in pain after the doctor he knew the guards had been rough. "Want to take a look at the garden? Not many come here, I don't let them." It was clear that Adina knew each plant and how to care for them, if he could transfer that to ruling he would make a good king.

Klaus Leben Klaus frowned. He must really hate himself, or others, if he didn't even let himself smile in front of others. Adina asked about the beating. "Yeah, well....The could have raped me, but that's not painful to me anymore. I've had enough of that over the last nine years. A little beating is actually refreshing." He didn't really want to look around the garden. Klaus just...didn't care. "Looks great from here. The plants look healthy, at least."

Adina Reindheart The prince shivered at the thought of what could have happened to Klaus, not sure why he didn't like that idea. Of course he didn't think he would like that to happen anyways to anyone. He wasn't heartless even if he acted like it sometimes. "I would hope they look healthy, they are one of the things that I take pride in." He didn't know why he said that but he was happiest around his flowers. When he saw a plant that looked a little brown he frowned before going to work on it. The dead leaves were removed and extra fertilizer was added to help the plant regain strength. "What is your favorite flower? Im sure I have almost all species here."

Klaus Leben Klaus frowned. "I doubt you have it. It doesn't exist. Roses are nice, though." He had watched Adina tend to the dying flower, not entirely understanding why people bothered to care for plants. "...I'm tired of talking. I'm going back inside."

Adina Reindheart Adina nodded as klaus said he was tired of talking and he watched the man leave after a moment. Adina wasn't sure why things were different with Klaus but he was curious about the foreign man. Eventually the prince left the garden and went to wash off. He was perfectly safe in the palace so he walked to the baths one of the attendants waiting for him. Adina knew this male having spent time with him in his chambers. The attendant smiled and helped the prince undress before working to relax and clean the other off. ((sorry not sure what to put. It seemed too easy for Adina to get mellow out right away, at least this way he can still have some bad habits and such lol))

Klaus Leben Klaus walked to the guard chambers. He sat down on the floor, which was pretty much all his bed was. A sheet with a pillow and something that barely passed as a blanket. Didn't take long for him to realize it was the bedding he had in prison. How wonderful. Looked like the guards had a sick sense of humor. Better than nothing, I guess. Sighing, the man removed his sword and laid it against the wall with the rest of his gear. After that, he sat there starig at the picture in his locket. It was the only picture he had of his brother, taken the last time he saw him. He wondered how he was doing now. "Well, if it isn't the foreigner. Who's that in the picture? Looks like your brother....He's kind of cute. Bet he wouldn't last long in prison like you did. Probably--" "Is that a threat?" Klaus stood, holding his dagger. "Are you threatening my brother? Is that a place you really want to go, big man?" "Maybe it is. I think I'll go and pay a visit to your kid brother. Make him pay for you hurting Prince Adina." Klaus reacted on pure instinct, moving his hand like a hummingbird's wings. In a split second, the guy was on the ground gagging on his own blood and trying to say something that couldn't be understood. It was hard to talk without a tongue. "...Well, I suppose he deserved that one. Dragging innocent people into a problem that's done and over with. Least now I won't have to listen to his awful jokes." "Gagged mumbles aren't much better." The guard hoisted his comrade up and helped him to the palace doctor, leaving Klaus with a headache. He wanted to kill the guy so badly, but he had never killed anyone before. Severely injured, sure, but they all lived.the gothic beauty 2 How would Adina react to that?

Adina Reindheart Adina had finished with his bath and a bit of fun and returned to his rooms. He was soon informed of what hat happened in the guard quarters and the prince shook his head. His guards were not the brightest men if they threatened Klaus. After a thought the prince went to visit Klaus himself surprising the men around him. "Get your things, your going to be sleeping in my chambers from now on. You can't be attacking the guards here, nor can they be starting fights constantly." With that the prince turned and started to walk back to his chambers. Sure the thought of the man protecting him having a violent tempter worried him, but he seemed to have more control then most other men.

Klaus Leben Klaus looked up at Adina, but he didn't move. He didn't need that brat's protection. Especially when the guard was the one that picked the fight. "Get going. The prince gave you an order." "The prince gave me a forced invite. I don't plan on accepting it." "Go. You won't want to be here when he gets back, and frankly, no one wants you here." Klaus didn't budge for a few moments. "Which bed is his?" Klaus was pointed to the bed and stripped it of the bedding before replacing it with his. The guards had comfier bedding, and he was taking it with him. Going to Adina's chambers, he went to a dark corner and set up his bed on the floor. "I swear, if you invite anyone in, I will kill you both. Go to bed."

the gothic beauty 2 Adina Reindheart Adina wasn't concerned about the other needing protection, it was the guards he was a bit worried about. He could end up killing the men next time someone got him angry and he wasn't going to have that happen. "There is another bed in my chambers you don't have to sleep on the floor, besides having you here keeps would be attackers away at night." He would let the other think that was what he wanted him in his room for, not because of the incident. Hearing Klaus talk about him having anyone else in the room he laughed. "Wouldn't dream of it, your not here to get a show anyways." With that he went to his bed pulled the curtains down and went to sleep.

Klaus Leben He didn't want a bed. He'd never had a bed. He couldn't sleep in them. Laying down, he closed his eyes. However, he couldn't sleep. Not only was he now watching Adina, sleep was something he hadn't done often during the passed nine years. So, he justlaid there, eyes open. Screw this. He wasn't going to stay up all night for a danger that wouldn't come. Taking out a sleep dart, Klaus injected himself with it so he could force himself to sleep. It only lasted a few hours, though, so he woke up and used another one. When he next woke up, the sun was just rising.

Adina Reindheart Adina had fallen asleep rather easily for just meeting Klaus but then again he had been busy not that long ago and it usually wore him out. When he did wake up he noticed that Klaus was sleeping heavily and wondered what it was from. Then he saw the sleep darts. So he was using those to get to sleep? That was odd, but then again he was a foreigner, maybe he was addicted to the sleeping drugs. As the sun rose Adina was awake and already dressed for the next day. He decided it would be fun to go for a ride around the palace grounds. "You have riding clothing right? I thought today was nice for a good ride and I don't plan on staying inside if you cant get on a horse."

Klaus Leben "How silly of me. I forgot to ask for riding clothes. Not that my request would have been granted anyway." Klaus sat up and growled a bit. His sides hurt like hell from sleeping on the floor after the guards kicked the daylights out of him. "I'm fine without those ridiculous uniforms." He strapped his weapons onto himself before standing, groaning a bit. He shouldn't be riding anything in this condition, but he didn't care. It would pass soon enough.
