Joy Ann hovered at the edge of the group, feelings of relief swamping her as the concept of structure was reinforced with the system that the warden was introducing. She figured she would never make it to lieutenant, but having a goal and objectives and someone to tell her what to do would definitely help. She could be a good team member, even if her other team members were all former thieves and abusers and other people with slight humanity defects. No one was perfect, after all.

But heck if she knew what to do with a knife. The brunette took a few steps back from the people demonstrating their skills... Yeah, that was definitely not her, and she'd probably end up stabbing herself if she ever had to try to attack someone with it. Kitchen knives were one thing, but that... Well that was something else. The diseased demons haunting their streets were definitely not vegetables that needed chopping.

The sweater though... She could totally use another sweater. Sweaters were warm and comfy and happy and... Joy Ann drifted a little closer to the sweater, more or less ignoring all the knife showmanship, hoping that whatever lots they drew would find her lucky. A sweater would totally make her day.

One by one, they took their turn to show off their skills with the blade. Magnus watched carefully, scrutinizing them as they demonstrated. Some were dangerous with the thing, and not in a good way. The Boss wondered if he had to worry about losing his second eye for a moment, here. But then came Greta, who ended up putting an incredible display of skill. A small smile crept to his lips. Even so, he didn't say anything until the others had done their piece. There was always a chance someone would be able to do even better, after all.

That wasn't the case today, however.

"Well. I think we have ourselves a winner here," he said, strolling towards the woman and offering the knife to her hilt-first, "I think this will be in good hands."

Nodding at that, he turned and went to deal with the sweater business. He snatched up an empty bottle from the ground, then moved on into the center. After looking around at them all, he flicked the bottle, spinning it on the ground.

Around and around it went.

And then it stopped, pointing at Emma. The Boss picked up the sweater, then offered it to the girl.

"Here. This is yours now."
