In the fleeting moment where Louis met 'eye' with the Fel Essence, his body turned to the essence and froze. From an outsider's point of a view, someone taking a look at him might mistake him as a mannequin. His face void of any emotions or activity, his eyes fixated on the feather, and only his shallow breaths indicate any signs of life.

However, things went downhill on the inside. Everything looked so real to Louis, yet not at the same time. With every strike of the knife, it feels as though he was intruding, and he wanted to scream and stop himself but the body wasn't his. His vision was soon clouded with the red that splattered on his face. And then it was gone. He was transported to another scene, a dingy saloon taking orders before all hell broke loose, everyone was screaming and the gunshots were deafening. Louis really wanted out.

Once again, in the midst of the chaos, the scene changed again.

Louis was covered in darkness, everything seemed unknown, almost alien. He was no longer on earth. Many creations that don't belong were lurking around. Just as before, he was panicking and yet he felt strangely calm, like it was ... normal.

The scenes he was seeing, it kept changing and he was stuck in the loop, forced to be part and experience someone or something.

Louis was not alright although physically he did not show it. A great many of the visions he was seeing were frightening, dark, or a combination of the two, but in between there would be flashes of other things as well: a first person POV as a kitten opening its eyes for the first time, a table full of documents labeled 'CLASSIFIED' in red ink, the past, the present, what could be the future. The moment he could register himself being one place - flash - he was in another, seeing through another's eyes, or even floating disembodied over someone or something as a ghostly spectator.

Although Ronan stepped in front of Louis, the connection between the man and Essence was not so easily severed. Its magic was strong and it would not let go of a witness quite so easily.

Before the jar came down on the Essence, Louis went through a few more vision trips; some rather pleasant and warming, others not so much. However, experiencing so much and seeing everything from this world and beyond in such a short period of time did messed with his head quite a lot.

Snapping out of the visions, Louis still felt like he was stuck. The figures in front of him didn't feel real. During the visions, his body moved on its own accord and even though he regained control, he couldn't move his body. His face contorted, his confusion is clear. All he could do was stare at the rest.

As soon as Xiu slammed the glass jar down over the Essence the magic-infused paper did its duty and locked the wayward Essence down. Magic symbols and runes slid up every side of the jar, connected, and then melted into a gold sheen over the entire interior. It lingered for half a minute then faded, leaving the jar as clear as it had been but fully protecting the Essence's captors and anyone else who could come into contact with it safe from its spell.

The whole time Louis was being led out of the library, all he could do was give a confused look. His surrounding still looked unfamiliar to him, even though he could feel himself moving, a little different from the visions before. Was he falling deeper?

After taking a seat, he stared blankly at his surrounding, unsure what to think of it.

The farmer's market was a bustling place but the good kind at least. When the group sat Louis down to rest, people kept flowing in front of them and gave the bench a wide berth. Even at the opening to the seasonal event there was plenty to see and do for your average daytripper - booths aplenty had been constructed and vendors were hawking their wares, a few street performers had come and were going about their routines for those who did stop to watch, and the smell of good food both cooked and non was everywhere. Across from the bench was a petite woman in a floral sundress was selling organic juices. 'Free Samples!' had been written on a large sheet of poster board and tied to the front of her booth and a few people were milling off to the sides of it with Dixie cups as they tried and shared the various juices they had gotten to try. Down a little ways from her was a food vendor with an ice chest in front of his booth. He probably had bottles of water in there among other things.

While all this was going on around them the compass in Amity's hand was reacting. The needle tilted and pointed further into the market, ticking softly against the glass as if impatiently waiting for one or all of the group to hurry up and go find what was perhaps so near to them.

Louis was slowly getting, his senses finally clearing up. Things were slowly becoming familiar to him and he was able to move his limbs. When Xiu passed him the drink, the different intense flavor definitely shook him back into reality. His head was still pounding and he was still a little giddy but he finally got back control of his body.

"Thanks...." Louis uttered as he looked at his party. If they weren't around, he would probably be trapped in the visions. Thinking about it, why weren't there any other people trapped in the visions as well.

When he heard Xiu, he looked at Amity as well. Did they find another Essence? Louis hoped it was a little less crazy than the last.
