Not to detract from the Senior love (because his awesomeness knows no bounds), but I just wanted to add my two cents now that I've seen the announcement.
I both love and hate this newest shard. Love because I'm a Fafnir freak. Seriously. I just need Kyvec and I'll have all of the adolescent Fafnirs. Having them all in kin form, too, would be a dream come true. (Alas, I can't even afford one.) Still. It's great. It would be better if it weren't a RIG and quite so random so that people have a chance at getting each one or their preferred one without having to spend an obscene amount of money or gold, though.
On the flip side, I hate that it's specific to just one kin. We have so many great kin out there and even if we can't splice opposing radiances of different kin (as opposed to opposing radiances of the same kin), I think it would be better if the shard applied to a wider variety. Different kin than the current golden and ghostly splice shard apply to, you know?
I guess this is a start, though. It's the most love shards have gotten in quite a few months.

Green eyes, with long eyelashes. She's still a shark like Senior.

It's alright. This is the way most of the threads with aaleeyyee and I go. I have to agree. I love Fafnir too and I hate how it only applies to him. There even is a monochrome looking one.(I can't remember the name of the monochrome spliced one) I wish it would at least also apply to the Fafnir's peak kin. I would probably forgive it if it was Junior or Neptune. They should make a Junior splicing shard next if they make another one.

Im in complete agreement with that. Its nice that theyre giving us the chance to get different types of recolors, but for the price and uncertainty of what you get it is kinda a bummer. But I think its a good start. Start with one kin, see how people handle it and add more from there. 3nodding
