"I'm sure Lorin would love to meet him," Claire said. "So far he's been very enthusiastic about all the animals he's met, so I think odds are he would love him, grump or not."
"Honestly, you guys already said the magic words earlier," Cadi reminded. "'Bakery.' Love me some baked goods. Now y'all won't be able to get rid of me." She broke into a peal of laughter. "But I live pretty close to the main drag, I'm sure we can stop by for some movie snacks." She grinned. "Far be it from me to stop Lorin from meeting new people." Despite her own nerves when it came to meeting new people, she would be willing to take one for the team if it came to Lorin.
"Let me offer another ringing endorsement there," Claire added with a grin at Cadi. "Those macarons at Thanksgiving year before last were all Vermillion."
"Oh man." Cadi's fingers tapped on the side of her cheek as she remembered. "Alright, yeah, you got me. I'll definitely be over."
Lorin, busy with his task of sorting the crayons immediately after he turned the box over, nodded fervently at the stag.
"'Course!" Lorin agreed with Cesc. "Don't worry, we'll all make it good together." Lorin had faith that with all of their abilities combined, they would make the best picture possible. He pulled the coloring book out from underneath the crayons, sending a few more rolling towards Cesc and Cadi, as he propped it up and leafed through, trying to find the perfect image for them to color. He had been remiss in his task earlier, what with giving Guy Smiley treats and listening to his sissy and Cesc joke back and forth. "D'you got a favorite animal?" he asked Cesc. "This book has lotsa animals. I got a superhero one inside if you wanna do that one."

"Well, we're always happy to have you," said Cesc with a smile to Cadi and Claire. "All of you guys, any time. And if you manage to come by when I'm not at the counter, Shep or Vivi probably will be, and Vivi is on her best behavior trying not to invite herself over here to meet you anyway, so... there's that." He shrugged helplessly and smiled brightly, then turned as Lorin got them ready for coloring.
"Alright!" Cesc said, rubbing his hands together and selecting a hunter green crayon with a blunt point that had rolled close to him. He flipped through a few pages of the nearby coloring book and nodded at a picture of an unadorned elephant eating a peanut. "I like superheroes too but animals are pretty great. Let's do this elephant together? I like green, so I thought maybe he could have green ears... or should I just do the grass green? I don't know..."

"Well, we wouldn't be averse to that." Claire smiled softly at the stag Sigel. "You are also welcome any time, all of you. And hopefully next time, Aaron will be around." His job demands were getting more strenuous as his father was gearing up for his much-talked-about retirement, but it still left the weekends and (sometimes) the odd weekday free.
"Good thing my finances are so bad, otherwise I'd be in the bakery all the time," Cadi admitted sheepishly, with a grin. "But I'll probably be stopping by nonetheless." Baked goods or coffee were her favorite ways to treat herself - much more accessible than video games, at least.
"Yeah, green is good," Lorin affirmed, nodding, as he poured over the color selection before him. After a moment of careful deliberation, he selected a purple crayon. "I'mma make his body purple." Glancing between his crayon and Cesc's, he nodded again, certain of his choice. "He's gonna be real colorful!"
"Oh, well then, I think he could use blue tusks, don't you think?" Claire held up a light blue crayon, to which Lorin beamed with approval.
"Some blonde hair to shake things up," Cadi added, yellow in hand, but she likewise reached for a metallic gold crayon. "And a golden peanut."
"Like the golden ticket?" Claire asked with a laugh, which caused the younger girl to grin in reply as they shared the joke. Lorin, however, considered her choices seriously, as he got to work with his own crayon.
"He's gonna be colorful and rich," he mumbled with a hint of pride, and the two women broke into another peal of laughter.
