This was, after all, probably what had made the tunnel in the first place. Jordan shot another glance at the pursuing creature, concluded that it was absolutely going to catch them, and skidded to a stop, turning to face it. "We'd better make a stand, see if we can hurt it enough to drive it off," he shouted back. "Myron, keep going, see if you can get a lead on us; if we can't drive it off, we might at least buy you enough time to escape and get word back of what happened here." This was probably it, he thought with surprising calm, and remembered briefly the last sight of Sandy and Barney before the elevator had left them behind in the lair. He sent Ferros a thought that was more feeling than idea, a reassurance that he loved his weapon and was grateful for his presence, and felt it echoed back as Ferros joined thoughts with him in preparation for the fight. The worm, when it hit them, struck with enough speed and force to send them several feet down the tunnel and knock them off their feet before they could bring Ferros around. HP: 50/60 Dmg: really Charge: 0/3 Damage total: 0

Saliva was absolutely giddy as she cheered on the massive worm much to Melvin's annoyance. She was sighing with memories of the good ol days while he only saw a tunnel of teeth ready to make him a rather unsatisfying snack.
When Jordan stopped, he slowed and stopped, moving to get back to the other hunter. If he was going to take this thing on, he would need backup. While he was no moon, he at least was picked for the sole purpose to defend and heal. Right now, it was the best option they had since this thing was clearly able to overtake them soon.
"I got you, Jordan." He said, and moved near him to defend against the teeth that wanted to chew them all up.

"No one's going to die," Sherry said. They were totally going to die but she wasn't about to admit that. " Mark! Mark," she tried the headset while she pushed some buttons on the tablet. "What are the chances of a portal out?" She had no idea if they had enough signal for that, but she would try. She would try at least until the worm hit. Jordan and Melvin were engaging, but it was big, and dammit they were so dead. "Myron you heard Jordan. Go." Sherry tucked the tablet in her pocket and summoned her own weapon. The tooth worm hit a hell of a lot harder than Sherry'd imagined it would. HP: 50/60 Damage: 6 Charge: 1/3 Damage Total: 6

The first layer of teeth peeled open to reveal a second, more tightly-knit set. There were still human parts hanging off the teeth, an occasional arm, the remains of a coat, maybe more but it was best not to look too close. The gnashing noise it made was terrible as it attempted to impale them, acid spewing all directions from it like a rabid beast.
Myron had run, but Connor did not, making sure the trainee had a head start before joining the fray, a greatsword raining down to smash down on two sets of teeth. "Don't just attack, keep on moving," he yelled with whatever nerve he had left. "We'll find an exit!"
When Sherry tried to yell at Mark she would get static, very loud static as if someone could hear her but couldn't communicate. The computer she was holding was suddenly flaring a second warning sign, and it was showing a red signal approaching them very closely from behind. OOC (17-6=11 dmg Total damage: 17)

Jordan bounced back to his feet and brought Ferros around again as the worm flinched back marginally from Melvin's shot. This time the hammer struck true and hard with a satisfying impact. He let the rebound help back them down the tunnel, retreating slowly. "There's got to be another cross tunnel somewhere," he agreed with Connor. "Are you getting anything?" he called to Sherry. HP: 50/60 Dmg: 16 Charge: 0/3 Damage total: 33

"Oh hell," Sherry said, desummoning her weapon so she could take a proper look at the tablet. "Yes. s**t. What was red? Horseman? We've got something coming up from behind! I think it's Horsemen." She hoped it wasn't. She started hitting the rescan button, just in case. Maybe it was wrong. HP: 50/60

"Well we're in their caves!" Shouted back Melvin, The hit back from the worm had thrown him off balance, and he tried to get closer to Jordan but Ferros being as massive as he was wasn't helping him in any way to maintain a safe distance while defending in a tunnel.
Unsteady, he tried his best to get back into a position that benefited Jordan as he tried to deliver another hard hit.

"Wouldn't surprise me," Jordan said grimly. "This thing is probably their pet." He backed further down the tunnel, letting the worm drive them back a little at a time. He really, really hoped that Myron wasn't going to run straight into the horsemen. He kept a careful eye on Melvin's position, and swung Ferros straight into the gaping mouth again. Maybe they'd manage to break a tooth or two if they were lucky. HP: 41/60 Dmg: 11 Charge: 2/3 Damage total: 44

"Well we can't exactly stop," Connor argued, sweating from the effort of running and attempting to maneuver an attack at the same time. "Any other brilliant plans?"
The good news was that the red beeping on the tablet stopped and disappeared entirely. The bad news was the monster was still chasing them.

"Right." It was true, she shouldn't have even been surprised. Horsemen caves had Horsemen, usually. "Oh, wait!" Sherry was looking down at the tablet. "Whatever was behind us is gone?" That was weird. Maybe it was busted? Sherry didn't care, she'd take what she could get. "According to the scanner the path behind is clear!" She looked up at the worm. "Do you think we can outrun it?" HP: 50/60 the roll was unintentional whoops. >>

"They just left?!" Or it seems they did. They might have thought they were already eaten at this point.
"We better keep running before they show up again."
Moving, he tried to get a better angle but shot back when Ferros was thrown at the teeth and nearly clipped him. It was making defending incredibly hard to do in this space.
He decided to rush over to the other side of Jordan in hopes it would work out better.

Trying to fight while still moving took up a lot of attention and energy, and the worm's snapping strikes hurt. "I don't think we can outrun it. I caught up to us before," Jordan called. "Maybe we'll find a smaller tunnel we can duck into." He had to re-angle his swing at the last moment as Melvin dodged around him, and Ferros only clipped the worm. But the hammer's runes lit bright and steady with a charge. HP: 32/60 Dmg: 2 Charge: 3/3 Damage total: 51

Sherry did her best to keep an eye on the tunnel as she stepped in to hit worm. It hit back just as hard. "I hope Myron made it out alright." HP: 40/60 Damage: 12 Charge: 1/3 Total Damage: 63

He moved to get closer but wasn't being much help, trying to gain his balance as the tunnel continued to shake as the worm slithered at them.
When his weapon glowed, he called out. "Got a heal!"
