Opal lives in a cavern on the edge of a winter biome.
It's isolated but the interior is lined with sparkling crystals
and its warmed by the heat of the earth around it.
Outside there is always inches of snow.
Her favorite thing to do at night is bury herself in it
and watch the polar lights of the sky reflect against the frozen pond nearby.
Short Blurb about the Ulaya(s) applying:
Opal never knew her parents. Her box got lost along the way and ended up in the middle of a snowy forest.
She was taken in by some Arctic wolves who raised her till she could return to Ulaya territory.
To strangers shes very shy, but also very caring and creative. A wallflower if you will.
Shes always happiest when she can make her friends happy,
the few friends she managed to make that is.
Why are they wanting to adopt:
She has a hard time fitting in with other Ulaya so she went and found herself her own private paradise.
It was nice at first but its left her lonely and wanting someone to care for.
She doesn't quite understand how to flirt with the guys yet so shes trying to adopt a cub and be a guardian instead.
She wants to be able to show someone like she was that they are wanted and perfect just the way they are. Even if you don't know your birth family.

How did he end up in this situation: Boxes. Not just one but two! He knew there had been something sketchy about that old lady, maybe he should have just let her crash with him while it rained, it wouldn't have hurt any..but now, now he had these two boxes and his whole world was stuck..he couldn't just abandon them..his morals weren't that messed up.
Little History About him before this happened: Starset has always had it pretty easy in his life. He's beautiful, easy going and charming as the night is long, these are things he knows. But he was no empty brained fool and that's why he made sure to always keep things easy and on the friend level with any he met. Boxes? Kits? Oh no, not for him. He could be selfish and unconcerned about the world around him, which is exactly what led him into this current situation...

Current Family Size: Just himself, and Tone. (She doesn't exist yet, but I planned to custom him a daughter with another of my ulaya at some point.)

Where does your current Ulaya live: Xiang mostly sticks to the forests where he lives with his mate Tone, but with his wings he ranges all over the island.
Short Blurb about the Ulaya(s) applying: Xiang is a mysterious ulaya, older than he seems. He's pretty casual about his comings and goings, that is until he met his mate, Tone. Tone has grounded and matured Xiang to the point where Xiang actually wants to start a family together with him. Though he can be a selfish and hot-headed ulaya, I think having a young ulaya, or two, would help to change his personality for the better, teach him some patience and caring for another, other than himself and his mate.
Why are they wanting to adopt: At some point he/(they) plans to settle down and have a litter of his/(their) own, but extending the family by other means than blood is not out of the question. 'Found family' is very important when you previously have none.

How does she plan to take care of kids that aren't hers: With much patience and understanding. It doesn't matter that they weren't hers to begin with, they're hers now and she won't let them down for anything.
Little History About her before this happened, how did she get to be a mom of two unknown boxes: Aqua has always been a creative but clumsy ulaya, when she falls, she picks herself back up, dusts herself off and keeps going. And going! Aqua's favorite pass time is creating beautiful little accessories and jewelry. She grows flowers and will often use them in her creations, or just wear them in her long hair. One day as she sets out to deliver some of her crafted pieces, she has a pretty rough tumble, when she picks herself up, before her are two boxes. With no one else around, and sure that the boxes hadn't been there before her little spill... It wasn't possible that they were hers... she didn't have anyone that special in her life, and sure... They said that sometimes the Goddess made, one might say... little blunders, Aqua was no stranger to those herself, and it always reassured her to think that even the divine weren't entirely perfect! Well! She said to herself and the pair before her, they might not have been hers, but they were certainly meant for her it should seem and she'd take the utmost care of them!

How does she plan to take care of kids that aren't hers: My teaching them how she was, living on the forest and surviving in harmony in her stretch of land
Little History About her before this happened, how did she get to be a mom of two unknown boxes: Rain lived in the jungles. She actually got her name due to the reason she moved, The rain. She loves dancing and playing in it, so why not move to the only place on land as wet as the oceans? Rain also lived in harmony with the land around her. She took care of the trees and assisted the other creatures around her with gathering fruits as well as keeping the trees alive. In the evening hours when lightning would act as a momentary night light for Rain and her jungle family she would retire to a large tree leaping up the low branches into the heart of the tree where she called home where she would lay in an opening looking out into the jungle and drift into a blissful sleep. Rain remembers the day the boxes showed up very clearly. A terrible storm rolled in, the kind that concerned Rain for her friends safety. She left her tree to check on her friends as well as her neighbors using her swift frame to bolt through the jungle as a pro. when rain returned to her home she was startled by a massive bolt of lightning followed by a deafening boom of thunder. Once she looked up she saw the two boxes in front of her. Rain made a choice in the storm, dragging the boxes to her safe dry haven in the torrent she sat and decided. She would raise who ever came from the boxes weather they had wings, horns, or even fish tails. She would teach them as the jungle and her friends taught her, how to live within the jungles in harmony

How did he end up in this situation: Arkiah lived a nice quite life. His distance from the closest Ulaya village in the valley made it so that he could be himself, this meant occasionally during thunder storms he would show off his powers. Using his beautiful pelt he could light the sky with bolts of color, not like lightning but close to it. a form of soft physical light. One storm he over did it and used up to much of his reserves causing him to pass out for a few days. When he awoke he noticed he had visitors at the entrance of his home. A thin and lithe Ulaya. As he stood up he went to approach her but she darted away into the trees. Still drained from his over extension of his powers Arkiah stumbles his way up to the boxes left at his door step. He realized as he saw the boxes that he was now the unintentional father of two boxes
Little History About him before this happened: Arkiah was cursed but not in the general sense of the term. He wasn't punished. He was given the ability and task of lighting up the sky to alert the Ulaya during storms that they are not safe. the only problem with his powers is that it takes so much from him that if he over uses them, he can pass out for days. Over time Arkiah began to love his ability even though it sometime caused him problems Like trying to socialize with other Ulaya. His coat lights up with his emotions making it so that if hes nervous or shy he glows a soft red or light blue.

Where does your current Ulaya live: Bai Jiang lives in a medium sized cavern which is located behind a waterfall. The stone floor of the cavern is just high enough so that anyone that can't breath water can walk around.
Short Blurb about the Ulaya(s) applying: Bai Jiang is a rather friendly, yet, rather shy so he doesn't often go out of his way to find others to talk with and instead gathers items. Then when he does meet someone he'll have plenty of interesting items to show them as well as gifts if they want any of them. Seeing as he is more than willing to part with any and or all of the items he's collected because he can always go out and gather more. That is once he begins to share his home with acquaintances and friends because it will take him a while to warm up to the idea of inviting others into the place he calls home.
Why are they wanting to adopt: With a young one around Bai Jiang will have to open up to the idea of being around others. He won't be able to be alone because he will have someone to take care of and teach. As they grow and grow closer Bai Jiang will realize how wonderful it can be to make strong and lasting bonds with others.

She decided well now that I have these children I am going to have to care for them. I shall help them in our world by teaching them horticulture. This way they can grow their own foods, heal themselves or others when sick.
Little History About her before this happened, how did she get to be a mom of two unknown boxes: She happened to be in a field smelling the flowers, she decided they were so lovely that she would use one to adorn her hair. She plucked the flower from the field and placed it in her hair. She was enjoying the weather it was beautiful out, and she laid back in the grass, starring up into the wonderful sunny cloudless sky when suddenly she felt a tiny pinch against the nape of her neck. She went to place her paw against where she felt the pinch when suddenly she went unconscious. She laid in the field for several hrs in this state, while doing so the stranger who had used a tranquillity dart gathered their children, and told them you will be in better hands here. He placed them close to her while gazing down at her beauty. I know you will do your best to take care of these young ones he whispered and dashed off. When she awoke she could feel two things leaning against her. Baffled when she turned offer and saw the two kits, she swooped them up in her paws and said don't worry little ones I don't know exactly what happened, but you are in my care now, and I shall make sure you get to good families, or raise you myself.
