Jessica let out more of a real laugh. "I used to not be very good with people myself but I had to change for Lily. Raising a child means a lot of interacting with other parents and the like," she said, her face slightly flushed as she remembered how embarrassing it was for her to meet all of the girl's relatives, especially the royal ones. "I used to be nothing more than a...commoner?.. is that right?...uhm, before I started to care for this girl. It changed my life around," Jessica had a pure smile on her face now, thinking about how amazing her life was with Lily around, looking up at Ajax. "Ever feel that way? That your life changed for the better because of something so different or important?" the woman asked him.

Ajax had no doubt in his mind that she were of common blood.She lacked the sophisticated quality that nobles had. He couldn't think of anything to say to her, his life came easy compared to most. "You're low-born?" He said instead, "Does that mean this woman is of noble blood? How did she end up in your care exactly?" There was a suspicious air, but the girl didn't look like the criminal type. Criminals were ugly or scarred somehow, she had a beautiful complexion. "I can't really say Ms Conners, I am a nobleman. Life has always been easy. Hmm, I guess I was accepted into the best healing academy in the realm.. but they wouldn't have denied me so it came to no surprise." He explained to her. His family donated a wing to the academy before. Not normally speaking to the patient's relatives for long, or at all. He became intrigued by the lifestyle of a commoner. Never knowing one personally, only until recently had he even spoken to them without giving them orders. "What is life as a commoner like?"

Jessica nodded. "As I said, Lily here is my niece. Her mother was my sister, and she married a man of nobility. They... passed away when she was a baby though so she came into my care and her grandfather was kind enough to let us stay with him in their kingdom as I raised her," the woman explained, shifting in her seat some, never having really explained it before.
"O-oh are you like a prince or something?," Jessica asked looking over at him before blushing in embarrassment some. "Forgive me, I'm quite a curious person," she added before thinking about her life, not really wanting to divulge much of it. "Well... My family was originally very poor. You have to learn how to get by on your own sometimes, hunting in the woods and such. When I was a teenager, my older sister went off on her own and I took care of our parents until their deaths. Sometime after that, I was found by a knight and taken to care for my niece," Jessica's face was slightly sad. She'd rehearsed that story a number of times in the event she'd had to tell anyone about it. It was the story she told her niece as well, even if most of it was a lie.

"A noble falling for a common-girl? How romantic." Ajax said with a bright smile. He has heard of people who do things like that, mostly from the theater. "A prince?" He repeated sounding amused, he could pass as a prince he bet. "No, nothing like that, my house has served under the empire as masters of coin for generations." Not in Elderahn, but speaking freely of his home might cause problems with the common people. "I am related to a king though." He added, almost forgetting about the young lord. Ajax had no reason to doubt her story, why would someone lie to a stranger? "Sounds like a difficult life, I apologize for your parents." He dded, it seemed parents were in short supply. Unlike his, they were happy, wealthy, and getting fat. "So you would hunt opossums and the like?" Ajax asked out of curiosity. He never had opossum - or knew if people ate them, they were trash animals.

"Oh, okay. I'm honestly still new to all of the different positions and such, even though I've been around them for the past eighteen years," Jessica said with a small laugh. "Well Lily's grandfather is a king. If I remember correctly, he's a fairy, and so was her father so I'm pretty sure she's a half fairy. Unlike me and my family who were just normal humans," the woman said before looking at Ajax, holding back a small laugh.
"No, we didn't eat opossums," Jessica found the thought a little disgusting but funny all the same. "My father was the main hunter, coming back with a lot of rabbits and squirrel mainly, some fish every now and then from the stream. My mother had her own garden that attracted deer and elk sometimes, so my father would sit around waiting for one at times. There was a lot of soups and stews and although we didn't have much, we never went hungry," The woman explained.

Vita Lambert [ Costume ] Vitas kicked the door open to the clinic and walked in. She looked around and walked to the back, when she saw the girl was still here she crossed her arms. "Oh. She's still here? " she asked with a frown. "So I told the guard, he said he already knew. Guess lots of sick kids, not all of them are all dying this this one here. It must have some pretty weak blood or something. The rest of them are kind of just throwing s**t up..Or it might just be because they ate too much?" she shook her head in disgust. "Kids are disgusting." [

Ajax looked surprised by her words, looking back down at the unconscious girl. "Wouldn't that make her the fairy princess?" His mind raced to the idea of turning her into the elves, they would execute her sure, but the political favor he would bring to his family! "You.. don't say..." He said, rubbing his chin as he looked at her. "Well that explains a lot fairies to have a natural charm to them, she probably is the prettiest unconscious girl to lay on that bed." Although in hindsight that was the bed they put pets on - and was probably the only unconscious girl to lay on it, he should have grabbed a normal one. Hearing that the garden would attract deer and elves, and that her father would sit there and wait for one, he looked a bit disturbed by her. "Are you saying that your father would hunt, and you would eat, elves?!" He looked sick hearing the thought, he knew elves. Eating them would be no different than eating a human, perhaps more rich, but almost identical. Seeing Vita walk in her seemed displeased, almost hoping she would leave the job unannounced. Hearing her comment on blood, he said to his sister. "She's the fairy princess." Well knowing she could have the same ideas of turning her in for political gain. "And her aunt is of common blood! They eat squirrels Vita, squirrels and elves."

Jessica thought for a moment. "Yeah, I suppose that would make her a princess. I'm basically the handmaiden though and like I said, I'm still not too familiar with the different positions," the woman said, her eyes widening as Lily stirred some. "Lily? Are you waking up?" she asked, standing up and looking over the other girl.
Lily brought her hands to her eyes and rubbed them sleepily. "Aunt Jess?" the girl said softly, slowly sitting up on the bed with a groan. Her stomach hurt along with her head. "W-where am I?" Lily asked, blinking to get used to the bright lights before seeing Ajax and Vita before Jessica was suddenly hugging her, tears in the woman's eyes. "Oh Lily! You're okay! the woman said happily.

Vita Lambert [ Costume ] Vita made a face of disgust. "Urg. Squirrels? Do they eat Opossums and rats too? An elves? God thats the same as eating another angel or person! Or just...urg commoners..." she said with a crinkled nose. Vitas eyes shined slightly when she heard that the sick girl was the fairy princess. She pressed her lips together to try to stop herself from smiling but the corner of her lips turned up slightly. "Wait the fairy princess of just a fairy princess. Faries have all sorts of weird kingdoms I think." she didn't pay too much attention to her classes of the histories of noble houses, even if she was just a small time princess it would make the elves rather happy with her family. She would never rule the house since she was the youngest but still...if her family had more money and power by extension she had more power and money. In excitement she bit her bottom lip and threw a glance at Ajax, knowing full well that he would be thinking the same thing as her. [

Hearing the confirmation that the unconscious girl was indeed a princess, he looked over at Vita and said, "Clinic team huddle." Before huddling up with her. "You're thinking what i'm thinking right?" He whispered, "We could really stick it to Dave." Dave being their older brother. Although, his mind drifted, if he were to wed her. "If one of us marries her though, that would make us the fairy prince!" He said, eyes shining in the title. "Or princess I guess, doesn't matter what you do.. but how do you wed someone..."He left the huddle to walk over to the patient, and started examining her. "You're at the clinic and suffered from a severe reaction to poison, your aunt might have saved your life tonight." He said, as he held a glowing palm at her, ensuring that she was completely healed. "We expect a full recovery, but to be safe we would like to keep you here overnight."

Jesica pulled away for the girl with a smile before they both looked at Ajax as he walked back over. Lily, looked down at his hand as it glowed, her eyes wide. "Y-you can do that too?" she asked, looking down at her hands, never having met someone else that heal people, even if her powers weren't fully developed. "Overnight? Was it that bad?" the girl asked.
Jessica hesitated a moment. "They...think you were poisoned sweetie, but it's okay because you're all better now. Buuuut we might not be able to keep your candy," she added quietly before looking up at Ajax. "Will I be able to stay with her?" she asked nervously, never having been away from her niece for an entire night before.

Vita Lambert [ Costume ] Vita clapped her hands lightly "Oh you always wanted to be a prince!" she whispered before he walked away. She didn't want to marry the little fairy. Her heart was set on someone else and she was going to have him. She walked over and gave the over protective aunt a frown. The woman would probably not appreciate Ajax wooing her neice and might make it difficult for him. Even though she found out she was adopted she still loved Ajax like a brother and wanted him to succeed in being the fairy prince with all the power. She let out a small little 'tsk' noise "Hmmm...No I don't think that would be a good idea. She might recover better if you weren't crying over her. You know it's proven people heal faster without people babying and crying over them." she said with a sharp nod. "So it might be best if you just left." [

Ajax seemed baffled by her words, wondering if the fairy princess implied she had healing magic. "Do you have the touch?" He asked curiously, a word used for those gifted with the power to heal. "Healing is a very rare ability, if you happen to have it it's in my oath to teach people gifted in life how to develop their powers." He was also forbidden to harm anyone or lie, but ignored the oath when it didn't fit his lifestyle. "We happen to have an apprenticeship open if you're interested. Might be a bit beneath a princess' work." His mind drifted off from being a prince, to slacking off by having an extra employee. If he could have both his life would be complete. "Ah, a friendly warning, I wouldn't go around speaking of noble blood, Elderahn may be safer than most kingdoms in this crisis but some still remain loyal to elf crown..." His family specifically. Ajax tried to ignore Vita, she was right people didn't heal very quick from cry babies in their rooms, but he had to be polite with his future wife and path to royalty. "Of course you can stay here, we can even pull you out a cot."

Jessica shot Vita a piercing glance, having figured out that she should just ignore what the other woman was saying most of the time. "Lily and I have never been apart, something drastic would have to happen for me to leave," the woman said, staying close to the girl still sitting on the table.
Lily looked at Ajax and smiled with a nod. "Yeah, I usually keep Aunt Jess from getting sick. I fixed an animal's leg once too since it was broken," the young woman said before blushing some. "Y-you said we weren't going to tell anyone..." Lily said, looking at Jessica who nervously played with a piece of her hair. "Well.. he is too...not a prince but well... kind of like you," the older woman said with am embarrassed laugh.

Vita Lambert [ Costume ] Vita snarled at both the girl and Ajax. Both had just ignored her! Flat out ignored her, who did that? It was so rude.She crossed her arms and let out a sigh of anger. "Well clearly I'm not needed here." she said and turned around and left the little room to sit in the front and see if anyone else would come in who was dying. /exit-ish [
