I am Esme or Marie. You find yourself in a cave________ with three ways to choose from, one to the west, one to the north, and one to the east. Which way will you take: west (darkness shrouds your way), north (fog or smoke make it harder to see ahead), or east (this way is more brightly lit than either of the others)?
So do you go west, north, or east?
Iām a sailor at heart and follow the North Star š
There are no stars in this cave, but up the North tunnel puffs of foul-smelling smoke swirl, sometimes reducing visibility to almost nothing while at other times revealing a steep incline. You climb up the tunnel, at times using outcroppings on the wall to pull yourself along. The way continues to grow steeper yet. Roll 3 d20. If you roll less than 5 on 2 dice (like 3, 4, 14), you slipped and must begin again (roll again). When you get to the top of the climb, you find two paths. One leads down at a gentle slope while the other rises at an equally gentle slope. Esme continues to climb, hoping she has chosen the best route.

Dark licks the creature. The power of the merry lick! blaugh
The creature jumps up and runs off, terrified and grateful all at once.
You continue on your way toward the light you saw. Finally you can see it is coming from a cabin window. The cabin is in good repair with a neatly kept garden. A short fence surrounds the garden and cabin with a latched but not locked gate.
Walking into an occupied home in his current antlered form could potentially cause occupants to be alarmed. Dark dons his human-like appearance, opens the gate, and approaches the house.
Dark approaches the door, careful to close the gate behind him and stay on the stone path. After he knocks, the door opens to reveal an old woman grinning. "Come in, come in, dear traveler. I imagine you are tire and hungry and thirsty after your travels," she says as she opens the door wider for him, revealing a table set for two with cups and plates filled with cookies and carrots.
Seeing the table set for two surprises Dark. Was he expected? His stomach growls at the sight of food. The tips of his pointy ears turn red with embarrassment.
"I am indeed, ma'am. If it's not too much a bother, could I partake of some of your food and drink?"
"Of course, of course," the old woman says, still grinning broadly. She motions him to one of the chairs and asks, "Would you like hot chocolate or juice or water to drink dearie?"
Taking the offered chair, Dark eases onto the seat. Relief crosses over his fair features. Wandering through the woods, fighting the monster, and then healing another creature took a lot out of him. It felt luxurious just taking the weight off his feet for a few minutes.
"Plain old fashioned water would be fantastic, ma'am." He reaches out to claim a carrot.

You climb at a leisurely rate while the smoke filling the tunnel becomes warmer and thicker. Finally you enter a large cavern. You can see the source of the smoke: an enormous dragon rests on a pile of treasure in the middle of the cavern, eyes half-lidded but watching you enter.

Clearly Dark has heard one too many tales about eating sweets offered by a stranger in a house in the middle of the woods. He isn't too sure he should eat the cookie. The demon doesn't want to hurt the woman's feelings though. Dark bows his head and tries to appear remorseful.
"The cookies look and smell wonderful. Clearly you have a very adept hand at baking. My diet limits me to fruits and vegetables. It is with deep regret I must decline," he lied.

The old woman is at once charmed and frustrated. However, she puts on a brave face and offers instead a place for him to rest after his refreshment. She has a pallet against the far wall, near the fire, while hers is upstairs in the loft.

What an innovative solution! Roll 3d20 and if at least one of them is over 10, you succeed! Add +1 if your character has a talent for singing.

HI, I am tintin, the adventurer, have sno special magical powers, but I own a dog, hes all white, in fact I call him Snowy! we love adventures, and like to figure them out mrgreen
You find yourself in a _Hedge Maze___________ with three ways to choose from, one to the west, one to the north, and one to the east. Which way will you take: west (darkness shrouds your way), north (fog or smoke make it harder to see ahead), or east (this way is more brightly lit than either of the others)?
I chose East , , (this way is more brightly lot than either of the others!) wonders whats younder East ^^
You and Snowy follow the brightly lit path, following the maze until you turn a corner and come face to face with a minotaur, huge and roaring. You can try to fight this enormous monster or turn tail and flee and hope to outrun him.
I chose to flee, and run, dont want it to hurt my Snowy! *tried to find cover*
((K sooooo I tossed a couple options back and forth and decided to go with my olllllld head canon for my avatar from when I did verrrrry light RP, but XD not really gonna use it <.<;;; ))
I'm sdrawkcaB (backwards). ... I live under a rock on Gambino Isle. My height is typical of the average Gaian, though I sometimes shrink to miniature size, sit on shoulders, and play devil's advocate. Both sides. I morph hair, eye and skin color just to match my outfits. Default is gray with pale skin. I also look like your typical Gaian of old... horns, devilish tail, pointy ears... When I'm not wearing shoes, you can see that I have were feet. XD; I'm clad in angelic items. And I'm laughing just stating this all out loud since it's been forever since I last left the house looking like my normal self.
I'd like to take a stroll NORTH through TOWN today.
A bar has a sign graced by a foaming mug of ale and a dancing girl. Smoke curls out of the windows and doors and curls around the structure like a misty, fragrant (or odorous depending on your reaction to tobacco smoke) hug. You step through the doors to find a bustling bar with a multitude of races busy drinking, laughing, smoking, and playing various games. What do you do?
sdrawkcaB wrinkles her nose as she walks in, towards the bar, hoping to see a familiar face.

The smoke doesn't really clear, as the dragon closes his (her?) eyes and starts to snore. But you can see piles of treasures everywhere you look! There is also another tunnel leading down from the other side of the cavern.

You successfully outrun it back to the original intersection, but now you notice what was behind you to the south is a gate which is obviously locked. You can see through the bars of the gate a large but empty-looking mansion. Or you can still chose east path that is brightly lit by sunbeams shining through the leaves. or the western path that lies shrouded in darkness.

There are no faces you are terribly familiar with exactly, but there are some human faces mixed in with trolls, orcs, elves, dwarves, and other races. The barkeep is human, large and jovial. "What'll it be, traveler?" he asks while pouring a drink for an orc sitting at the bar.

Esme turns to the right and starts on a westbound trek. She slows her pace to feel her way through the darkness. She rustles some branches while chewing the bark of an oak tree. She remembers her youthful journeys when her family visited friends from another community. They always stayed with Dasher longer than the others so they could enjoy his oaks. When Esme had her fill, she lifted her nose to the air and strained to find some fresh water. She looked to the sky when she heard the cries of birds.
