He jumped from the fence and ran to the back doors of the shops in the alley. Towards the front of the alley there were indeed crates. It took a few minutes but he was able to push them over to the dumpster without knocking them over. "Hang on" he said as he tried to catch his breath.
Once he could breath again he jumped up on the fence and then on the three stacked wooden crates. "Can you stretch?" He leaned over the edge of the dumpster and stretched to try and reach her.

Pixie listened as he worked hard to get her out. He was starting to grow on her. She was glad that he'd gone through the portal with her, faced the monster, ran away and escaped with her. He had always seemed to try and help or protect her. She smiled up at him when his head popped up over the edge of the dumpster. "Boy, I'm so glad to see you!" she said, and scooted closer to the wall of the dumpster. She reached up as far as she could with her paws, just barely brushing against his. Her eyes met his and she felt her cheeks warm. What was wrong with her? This was no time for getting all in her feelings. She needed to focus. She pondered a moment. "Can you toss something in here for me to stand on?"

"Let me take another look, be right back." He said before he disappeared from the edge of the dumpster. He jumped down from the crates and started to run around the alley trying to find anything to help her. After a few minutes he came back with nothing. "I can't find anything!" He called out as he sat in front of the dumpster. He looked around again as he tried to think of something. He could jump in there and she could use him to get put but then he would be stuck in there.
He growled out of frustration as he stared at it. He didn't see anything laying around it when he had been on the fence earlier. Maybe something could have fallen underneath it that could help. He slowly stalked forward on his stomach as he tried to see under it.
His eyes were good, but they couldn't make out anything in the darkness under it. He blew out a breath and began to pace around it. That's when he spotted it. There was something with hinges on the side of the dumpster.
"I think I found a solution!" He called out as loud as he could so she could hear him. He pawed at the hatch on the side of the dumpster until his claws caught it and he pulled it open. He poked his head through "Boo!" He called out with a laugh.

She listened as he ran around outside. "Careful not to get too close to that trash can again!" she called out. She really didn't want him disappearing back to that crazy place, especially by himself. It got quiet and she heard him say he couldn't find anything. Discouraged but antsy, she tried crawling up on a bag of trash only to fall back down to the bottom. Just as she stood up again, she heard a loud squeeling sound as a small door on the side of the dumpster opened and Kairos appeared. Relieved and surprised, she rushed over to the opening and butted her head against his in a show of affection. "Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she said quickly, and then pushed herself out of the smelly dumpster. "I don't know what was worse, that or the hell dimension we escaped." She chuckled lightly. "I'm going to be cleaning my fur for days now," she said, looking down at her paws. She looked up at him. "Are you okay? I know that was....a lot." She moved closer to sit next to him. "I'm so glad you were with me through all that." she said quietly.

He was a little surprised by her affection, but he didn't call attention to it. "I think the weird trash can was way worse." He muttered as he watched her come sit next to him. "I don't know about you, but I don't think I am going to be so curious anymore." He sat down next to her and lightly bumped into her. "I'm glad I wasn't alone." He said and then averted his gaze from her to the sky above them. It twinkled with stars and the moon hung high in the sky.

She yawned and suddenly realized she was starving. "Hey, do you have any more of that fish from earlier? I could probably eat like two of those." She stood up, excited at the prospect of food. "Well, I mean, I don't want to eat your fish but could you show me where you got it? I can get one for myself." Her tail twitched with excitement. "Come on, let's go!" She laughed as she started towards the shops, looking over her shoulder to see if he followed.

He looked back to where he had tried to enjoy the fish from earlier. He stood and followed after her wondering if the shop would even still be open. He decided he would help her find food regardless if it was closed or not. His tail swayed behind him as he gave the weird trash can from earlier a lot of distance.
