Mikka frowned at his story. She felt sorry for Okari; why would her brethren act like that? "I've only heard of those horses; rumors abound with them, but I'd rather ignore them." She tossed her mane again, flicking her tail back and forth to ward off the annoying flies.
"Of myself? I'm sister to the mare who belongs to the medicine man, yet I wander around a lot. I'm friend to the seer Shinta, whom you may want to meet, by the way; he could help you." She looked at her dappled back, and then at the buckskin.
"No, not many venture out this far. Only I, and Master Shinta, do." She smiled at him. "Kindness shouldn't throw you off, dear Okari. Whenever you're given kindness, you should take it gladly." She stepped forward and nuzzled him. "Such as that," She chuckled, and stepped back.

Mikka was really a different soul from those he had seemed to be around a smile that even Luyu, his human 'sister', got to rarely see. "Agreed," he softly chuckled with renounced praised to the good spirits for someone who didn't really care about rumors or tales.
He listened to the information and the at the claim of help by the infamous Master Shinta, horse of the wise man of the tribe. Okari's Lightning remembered hearing about the healer's horse, "So your related to Snow." he stated, "I haven't met her personally but I heard she is a kind mare like yourself, Mikka. Even though this would just be something else to add to some tale, but since your the only one that has showed kindness to the outcast of the herd. I may go met the Seer of the herd and see if he couldn't give guidance to the lost soul of the living."
Shock strucken face and through the fine fur on his cheeks a faint blush appeared on the proud buckskin's face. Turning his head in back in the direction which he had came and in the direction it seemed Mikka was heading, the blush and shock quickly vanished from sight as if it had never been surfaced. "I'll remember that Fair Mikka, but what do you say about walking alittle ways since it seemed you had been on some sort of destination. Also it would help keep the flies from to much mass swarming."

"Yes, I'm related to her. I'm more or less an errand mare. You've heard of them both? I didn't realize they were both that famous..." Mikka said, smiling.
"You're an outcast? That explains a lot. I have a friend who is an outcast... his name is Thistle, of the Riverbend herd... he's very difficult to communicate with, but he's got a good heart, just like you."
She wondered what happened when he suddenly turned face before he turned to look at her. "It would be my pleasure, Okari's Lightning," she said gallantly, before breaking down into soft giggles. "I haven't gone on a nice walk in ages."

"It isn't so much as them being famous around the herd, but the fact that," he shrugs alittle, "One could say since I am like her guard, little two legged sister, Luyu has a talent to communicate with us along with her herd mates. She seems to know alot even though she is as quiet as a mouse."
Looking over to her with his dark eyes, "Well as long as he has you as a friend I don't think being an outcast would be a problem with him." Okari's Lightning smiled once more.
"Glad to hear it would be nice to walk with someone besides racing them all the time for once. Shall we go then?" Okari asked with a blue hoof aloft in mid-turn to straight himself out.

"I suppose not. And are you? That's very sweet of you!" Mikka loved her own human "sister", but she was very active. Mikka was always used to travel to all kinds of places, so she got to see different horses all the time.
"I'm your friend, too, Okari," Mikka stated matter-of-factly, smiling with him.
"Yes, we shall go. And where to, may I ask?" Her own blue hooves were itching to move, but she would have to follow astride of him to see where he was wanting to go. The destination seemed interesting...

Okari's Lightning nodded that he was truly a guardian of Luyu and then spoke. "Don't get me wrong with the acknowledgement of your sister and friend, they have very well liked and known members of the two legged herd as some recognization. Yes, even though lately I've been going out in search of my parents and their herds. I really haven't turned up much on the riverbend side though." He sighed in alittle aggrivationwith the last bit.
Okari looked to Mikka, "And a good friend at that, who seemed to have already shared more kindness with two outcasts then one could dream." With a gentle and friendly nudge Okari stepped foreward just enough to nuzzle the mare's cheek in gratitude. Then stepping back he shook his head and neck tossing half of his dark mane over to the opposite side of his buckskin neck. "I thank you for that as well Mikka."
Then looking towards the distance, "How about anywhere our hooves lead us. The herd is quiet today so maybe something more interesting will cross our paths on a nice stroll about."

She shook her head. "I would never wrong another unless I see that there has been a mistake. I will try to correct it, then. Have you? I know not of my own folk; I've never met them. All I know is that Snow is my older sibling." Mikka tilted her head, sighing. "The Riverbend are... a strange lot. I feel sorry for Thistle, always trailing behind them, feeling unincluded."
She flushed a slight red at his nuzzled, and nodded, unable to say anything for a moment. "....You're welcome, Okari, though you need not thank me." Fighting off her blush, she agreed with him. "Yes, the herd is quiet today... so, shall we go?"

"I'm sorry for you not knowing of your parents. Fletch is the only blood I have any chance of contact with it seems, but we aren't close." Looking at Mikka's titled head at the mention of Riverbend Okari's Lightning bobbed his head up and down. "Yes they are, but every herd has it's reasoning for everything I'm learning. I can sympathize with him, but we all have our reasons for sticking it out on unsettled turf."
Looking to Mikka, he thought he saw a bit of a blush but wasn't going to say anything. Smiling Okari nodded, "Lets go. Oh and yes I do your the only one that has treated me like a stallion and not an annoying young colt."

"Fletch?" she questioned, never having heard of this horse. "I suppose you're right. Every herd has its reasons for something." She chuckled, following Okari as he led them to wherever their destination would end up being. "I think you mean empathize. I doubt other outcasts would want sympathy, dear Okari."
She smiled at his description of himself. "Is that how you're treated? Dear me. Who knew a grown stallion such as yourself was still seen as a colt; you're still young, though, so it would make sense. I, from time to time, am also treated as a young foolish filly... though perhaps that is my fault, for I beg for apples and carrots during those times." She giggled at herself, and smiled at Okari.

"Fletch is my brother, but I haven't seen him in a long time around the herd." Okari answered the one word question. Then he smiled and softly chuckled as well as a light blushing. "Yes, empathize is what I meant."
Okari's Lightning as Mikka talked of begging for apples and carrots was tring to picture the beautiful mare doing so. "Now that you mention such the tilt on the aspect I can now see the others view some what." The image of this black mare begging for carrots was still fuzzy in his head but the thought of her kind heart and what seemed to be a care free spirit made the image soften into view alittle. Smiling and nickering to her softly, he added. "I don't see why asking for apples and carrots would mark a fine mare as yourself down to a Filly, it just shows your still full of life and love to be around those that give you the treats."

"Oh, I see. I'm sorry that you haven't seen your brother in a while," she said solemnly. She was a lone child with no siblings, so she really could not say anything more on the matter. She smiled, somewhat clueless to his light blushing, thinking he was merely short of breath. "Take deep breaths if you feel out of air," she commented.
Okay, so she was a bit more than clueless, but that was fine. "Well, um, uh, thank you," she said, feeling her face burn suddenly. She wondered what that feeling was, but brushed aside that emotion for the moment. Ignoring her flushing face, she grinned. "I'd like to see you do that, Okari. It would be quite interesting."

Okari nodded, "Thank you for your kind words, Mikka. If my brother wants to be found then that is when I'll met him again. Then when she started to tell him to take deep breaths he became clueless. "Take breaths for what?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
After a moment he nodded his head. "You are welcome. I only speak the truth, Mikka." Then he became confused again, but going with his instinct asked, "You would like me to do what? Beg for carrots?"

The small blue filly galloped playfully through an open field chasing butterfly as dust was kicked up with every step. Wind Caller laughed until the small monarch was too far to follow.
Sighing, she realized play time was over and continued to walk through the field.

Barbaro knickered softly as he made it though this new land. He snorted slightly senceing another heard or two close by. Slowing down to a gallop he moved up onto a hill to take in the lay of the land.

 A Shy blue stallion walks slowly into the meadow, quietly, trying not be seen or heard, he would love to have some friends, someone to talk to but he'd never walk up to someone and say a word to them, he's to shy. Dior (like christian Dior the designer) walks over to the shade of a tree and watches whats going on in front of him, hoping that maybe some one will wonder in his direction.
