His large smokey colored frame came into veiw. His nightsky colored mane slowly turned a pale grey, into a white at the tips. His dark lavender eyes scanned over the lioness by his sister. "Yes. I am King." he said, his vocals were dark and brooding as he glanced towards the cub now, slowly his gaze turned to Niobe. " I see you've brought guests. As have I." He motioned towards the teenage lion not to far off behind him.
"Thank you Kila, We're both beautiful in our own ways. Yes, this is Benoni, he is my brother." She bowed her head. "I'll take my leave and let you all get introduced." She smiled softly, glancing back at the cub she motioned him to follow her with her muzzle.
Glancing at the male her brother had broughten she sent him a small bashful smile before moving past him. She would need a bit of a rest, she planned on hunting soon.

The lioness jumped at the voice of the King, she hadn't been expecting another for a few more paces most likely because she was dazing off again. She nodded to Niobe, and she bowed to the King not knowing quite proper etiquite but trying. Her azure orbs glanced at him, briefly she analyzed during that brief second unknowing what to expect from him.

"Of course I will. What do you take me for, a cub?" It was the last thing the cub said in a while, remaining silent and in Niobe's shadow when they met a rainbow-ish lioness. Though he hated not being payed attention, he stood quiet so he could learn more of these adults. So, Niobe was his protector and Kila was the newcomer. Benoni was the king. The male registered this in his mind, thinking about a proper way to introduce himself when meeting the claimer of these lands.
When they arrived, the first thing he thought was how he desperately needed to grow. I'm never going anywhere like this.... So this was Benoni? His voice seemed the opposite from Niobe, harsh and deep, but it didn't intimidate the regal cub, sustaining the King's gaze defiantly. He stepped to Benoni's front, looking up to him. Yup, growing was definetly in order...
"She hasn't brought me. I came by my own paws."

His eyes moved towards the cub, he nodded. "Well, she didnt carry you. No, indeed you came by your own paws. But she brought you to this place as you followed her."
He bowed his head towards the female, raising his head up once more he glanced around. " I heard Hyena's. Im guess Niobe took care of that." He glanced at his sister's fading form. He hopped she'd only tired herself, that she was not saddened. Turning back towards them thrio of lions, the young male, the cub, and the young female he twitched his muzzle. " I am Benoni, The King of these lands. Those of you who wish to join these lands, please. Speak up now, or if not. Take a rest and then leave." He's tone tried to be friendly, and kind but also held a tone that would not stand for disobedience. He stood there, proud of the things he'd done in his life, of the land he'd claimed. The sun was setting in the distance, soon he'd send out Niobe to hunt, he'd join her but it was still early and he needed to make sure he stayed King of these lands.

"I appoligize for not giving my name earlier sir. My name is Mandolin. As I told you earlier I am hoping to make a new for myself here and if there is no protest I would like to help somehow. Maybe by scouting the land for you sir or even aiding in the hunt." The teen stated as he was addressed in the group. He bowed to Benoni showing that he respected him already. "Please allow me into your pride and services." He had noted the other female, Niobe, and wondered why she was so quiet. There was definately a air of saddeness around her and while he was still young he thought it was really a shame that she would carry such saddness on her shoulders.

"Mandolin..Thank you for joining us." He bowed his head, raising it once more he glanced to the others. " You can go back and find yourself an area to sleep at night." He motioned towards the cave, the same direction of Niobe.
He yawned, opening his muzzle wide he showed the rows of sharp ivory fangs and teeth as he then snapped his muzzle shut. "Soon, I'll send Niobe out to hunt, Mandolin, if you wish you might be able to talk her into joining you." He nodded his head. He didnt tell his sister what to do, but asked her of it.

The teen nodded and bowed again before heading back into the cave. He looked around before spotting the lioness he was informed to seek out. He padded up and then sat down near but not too near to her. "Excuse me my lady but I was told that you would be going hunting in a while and I was wondering if you enjoy some assistance and company on your hunt." She was definately beautiful, this lioness was. The saddness still echoed from her very soul though and seeped into Mandolin's heart as well. He didn't want to see her so. "My name is Mandolin, My lady. I am at your service."

Lifting her head from her paws, she glanced down at him from atop the cave. There seemed to be an upper level that she'd taken as her own den area. Benoni hadnt minded, cubs could have gotten hurt climbing up so he'd prefered the lower cave for himself and the pride.
"Ah, yes the hunt." She smiled, then gave and soft sigh and yawn as she stretched out the front paws, the pink and white stocking like markings shimmered softly in the fading sun. "I'd like the help and company thank you." She bowed her head. "Well greetings to you Mandolin, I am Niobe." She rose to her paws, and sauntered down the side of the cave, leaping down the last bit. The sweet sorrow engulfed her soul, nothing would change that.

He smiled softly to her and bowed his head slightly. "I am honored to meet you Lady Niobe. Let me know when you wish to start the hunt and I will follow you." It was far too early for him to ask of her why she eminated such saddness and it was propibly none of his business. For now he would serve them to the best of his abilities. Thats all he could...and perhaps...he could coax a smile out of this kind lady one day.

Tequila watched the other lion as he introduced himself, "I am Tequila," she replied proudly yet with a hint of insecurity. She looked to Niobe then the King, "But I'd prefer to be called Kila, if it's alright with you." Her ears perked up as the King said the four letter word she enjoyed a lot, 'hunt'. "If it so pleases you, could I go aswell to prove that I can be of worth rather than just living here?" She thought to impress the King rather than make bad impressions.

Nodding his head, he bowed it slightly "Welcome Kila, to your new home." He smiled and then nodded his head once more. "Follow Mandolin, Im sure you'll find Niobe, she'll be in charge of the hunt for now. " He glanced at the cub, he nudged him, with a giant paw. " You can help me look around a bit." He turned his frame away. He yawned, maybe he'd not prowl out tonight, but just check the closer area tonight.
His jaws snapped shut as he stretched, trying to keep himself awake. He was pleased with the turn out of the pride so far. It seemed like it was full of a good strong stock, and thats exactly what it needed.

She smiled at him softly, "Please, just call me Niobe. Nothing really lady-like about me." She giggled softly. She stretched and lifted her nose to the air. "The zebra should be at the water about now, taking a cooling drink before returning back to sleep."
She padded closer towards his direction. Her tail swayed out behind her, in the fading light the markings that danced down her face glowed even brighter, and seemed to flicker with a life of their own.

Mandolin nodded his understanding and then sniffed the air as well. "So then we hunt. It will be good to hunt for a pride instead of for only myself for a change." He smiled as she moved near him. The light liked making her marking dance and dance gracefully at that.

Tequila followed the direction she sworn Mandolin had took and sure enough she found him and Niobe padding together. Her head tilted as she neared them, "you guys are going on a hunt, no?" she asked. She wondered what they were going for, the gazelle herd had already passed which had gotten her spirits down.

The cub watched as the others introduced themselves, half paying attention and half wondering what to do next. Not having found anything witty to reply Benoni earlier, he now thought about the possibility of joinning this pride. His eyes were fixed on the King, comparing him to his parents. And, definitely, Benoni was a far better role model...
He snapped from his daydreaming as he felt a paw on his side. Again? He was prepared to say something about not being a kid when Benoni suggested for him to accompany. To watch a King in action? That would prove useful for the future... Yeah, he'd be staying as well. "Four eyes are better than two." the male said, confident. Especially mine. The yawn was contagious, passing to him as well. Side by side, he stretched as well, mimicking closely Benoni. Shaking his head, to keep his mind alert, he turned to the King with a light smirk. "Cayimmi."
