For collage they are having us read this "Summer Read Book" the author of the book is going to be at the collage this year for the openeing cermoney.

Book: When the Emperor was Divine
Author: Julie Otsuka
Summary: "On a sunny day in Berkeley, California, in 1942, a women sees a sign in a post office window, returns to her house, and matter-of-factly begins to pack her family's possessions. Like thousands of other Japanese Americans they have been reclassified, virtually overnight, as enemy aliens and are about to be uprooted from their home and sent to a dusty internment camp in the Utah desert."
Rating: 9 There are some heart stoping moments. It gives you a glimps into a life interupted by a war. It is only abou 100pages an easy read. Definatly worth it!

Genre: Horror, (a little Crime & Sci-Fi too)
Short Summary: 'The Face' is the most famous and rich man in modern America, his head of security Chief is Ethan Truman, an ex-cop with a troubled past. He's found the messenger but not the sourse of the threat, and he's worried. But not half as worried as he would be if he knew that Fric, The Face's ten-year-old son, was home alone and getting calls from 'Moloch, devourer of children'. Theterrified boy is planning to go into hiding in his father's vast mansio - putting himself beyond Ethan's protection.
Theres a great twist in the title of which is only given at the end.

Author: Dean Koontz (I really do read too much of Dean Koont'z books)
Genre: Crime, Romance, Sci-Fi
Short Summery: Odd Thomas takes pride in his work as a fry cook. His fame has spread, bringing strangers to the restaurant in Pico Mundo. Odd cannot say what it is that disturbs him about this perticular stranger, but his sixth sence is alert...This is a man with an appetite for operatic terror. The violence he craves is of the most extreme variety: multiple untimely deaths, spiced with protracted horror. Tomorrow.
Rating: 10 Tis the greatest!!!

As two of you have said: Dean Koontz. The best suspense I have ever read. Especially Odd Thomas and Intensity. Sorry, no summaries... Maybe I'll put 'em later...
Yes Dean Koontz is Great. I am curently reading his book whispers...so far it is exellent. You have good taste in books.

Author: Eoin Culfer
Genre: Suspensful teenage adventure.
Short Summary: It's about a girl who dies. And the devil wants her, but she did ONE good deed to save her a**. Now, she has to go back to earth and she's given a second chance to redem herself.
Rating: It's one of my favorites. 4.5/5
