That peaked Herman's interest. "You live in a castle?! You must be pretty rich, hmm?" the thief smirked, trying to be non-chalant. He didn't want to sound too interested and raise the youth's suspicions, even if he got the notion that the blonde would spout just about any information he chose to ask for. Ah the ignorance of innocence!

Herman smirked. If the kid's dad WAS rich, he could make a pretty penny in reward money, or, better yet, in ransom money! Sure, kidnapping wasn't his style, but why not take advantage of a situation that falls into your lap? "We'll ask directions to this castle when we get in town," the thief chuckled.

Demyx looked over at him, head tilting a bit.

"What? You have to go through a cave to get there or something," Herman scoffed. "I'm not scared of the dark." Contrary to Demyx's beliefs, the thief did not know anything about his 'portal thingies', so he'd have to either explain or demonstrate.

Demyx stretched out an arm, opening a small portal in front of Herman as a demonstration.
"I can transport myself...and I know it's possible to transport others. I just dunno how..."

Herman jumped back as a black hole formed in the ground, its black smoke-like tendrils rising towards the sky as it sought to envelop any who stepped inside. "What the hell is that?!" Herman shouted in suprise, all but ignoring Demyx's words.

Demyx shook his head. Man if the other would just listen...
"So yeah, let's not use that to go anywhere..."
As quickly as it had come, the portal was gone, leaving behind a grinning Demyx.

"I-it takes you to the castle? Then....why not? Why can't we use it?" Things were coming together for Herman, slowly. It must be some kind of teleporting device. Man, if he could get his paws on whatever device Demyx had used, that had to be worth some big bucks! But...what had he said before? Something about only him being able to go through. "Why can't I go through? Because I'm not...er...one of your gang or group or whatever?" the thief asked, trying to understand.

"Because I dunno if it's safe! I'm just really learning how to work the portal thingers again, they're hard to make ya know? Take a lot of energy and practice...so I'm not too sure how safe it'd be to try and take someone else through... Luxord can transport people around though...I'll learn it eventually!"
Demyx sighed, shaking his head. He really wished he could be more confident on things.

Herman growled slightly at the youth's blind ignorance. How were they going to get to the castle if they didn't even know where it was?! Glaring after Demyx, he grudgingly followed. This venture had better pay off!
An hour or two later, the thief strolled happily into a small town. Small, but hopefully big enough to have a bank or two. He could use some cash.

Demyx dragged his feet, following the other into the town. Hyper he may be, but the youth needed rest, and he was quite thankful they finally came to a town.
"I'm hungry..."
The blonde whined quietly, ears flat and tail drooping.
