Kinn soon jolted from his seat and let the chair slam against the ground. His hand, almost by instinct, reached for the handle of his blade. The weapon would do no good in this situation. "An earthquake?" It seemed odd for such a natural disaster to take place in this area. He tried his hardest to remain calm and wait. Kinn's mind rushed with different thoughts of death and despair. Why the hell are we waiting?! His body trembled from fear and from adrenaline rushing into his veins.

I doubt this is natural... Kaze's face looked up to the ceiling with the appearance of tranquility. He was unphased by this whole event. "What is this?" His question was directed to Wakara and Crusher. The others did not seem to be as strong as his old comrades. His once relaxed hands clenched into fists while waiting to see what malevolent force was taking over this place.

Crusher turned around hearing the crackling sound and looked toward Wakara. "Wakara..." He said quietly, in an almost unheard voice as Crusher then glanced at Kaze. "Don't ask me, I don't have a clue." He said calmly looking back at Wakara. Crusher placed his hand gently on the hilt of his sword trying to prepare for anything. He wasn't sure of what was going on at all, but he knew it probably wasn't good.

As one small stride came behind another, Evelline met the figure of a massive fellow dragon, landing before her very eyes, which soon turned into a fair-haired human that stood not too very far away. Giving a weary nod of her head, she picked up her gaze abruptly, staring at the other who introduced himself as Styx. “Ah, so you are the champion the elders spoke highly off,” Her pale lips softly continued, as she gave a soft smile as she shook his hand. “I am Evelline, the Frost dragon of the north, and yes, the Council leader of the dragons.” She agreed rather simply, as she momentarily pulled her hand away, as she carried on her way

“Has the meeting already started?” she questioned quite calmly, glancing back at the youth as her gaze gently gazed from one side of the hallway to the other, rather amused by the beauty which this place bestowed.

Styx nodded and said, "Yes, but there is some sort of crisis, you came just in time, something big is headed this way...Ask Lady Wakara to find out, or wait like the rest of us...I on the other hand, must return to my post." He suddenly shape shifted back and flew his long graceful body back to the spire and coiled around it again he called out, "Hey! Anyone spot anything yet?!" His reptillian eyes began scanning the horizen once again, focused on making sure no unwanted guests were headed their way.

Wakara's gaze returned to the ceiling where the violent judding again caused a searing crash of golf ball sized pieces of cement to fall to the ground near her feet. During the moment, Calypso had sneakily made small attempts at being nearer to Wakara. It was in her sense that this was no ordinary earthquake and that in fact something drastic and devastating will happen any moment.

Out of the corner of her eye, Cal saw Kaze, Kinn, and Crusher preparing themselves mentally and even physically for whatever may lay before them, and in response to their movements of defense, she too prepared herself only by slightly lifting her gown a few inches off of the ground in case if she needed to move. It was only then that it happened.

Below Wakara, the tile floor broke off into jagged pieces which splintered her feet. Wakara gave out a soft cry of pain, and tried her hardest to move out of the way, but of course it was too late. Seeping black strands of who knows what material slithered its way between the jagged pieces of tile [which fluctuated many feet in diameter from where Wakara stood].

First instinct would be to step out of the way, or even step on the strands, but instead Wakara was merely frozen in shock of what was happening. To her it seemed to be too soon for things of this matter to start. Her own deep predictions of this event wasn't to happen now. Wakara darted glances towards Calypso, her eyes glowing in fear of what will happen next.

The thick black strands clambered stealthily up and twisted around Wakara's legs, bringing them both tightly together so fast Wakara lost her center balance and fell hard onto the jagged tiles which now replaced the floor around her. Wakara let out another scream, blood spurting from the open wounds in her back. By now whatever had started the humming and vibrations was here.

The jagged tile flooring underneath Wakara soon began to spiral, sinking lower and lower into the Earth while thousands more of the black strands erected from the undergrowth. Calypso stood in horror as her idol was literally capsizing in front of her very eyes. She too stood in shock and dismay, unable to act quickly to save the only person who brought comfort to her. She watched as now a thunderous hoarse roar broke the flow of the floor, sending shards of broken tile pieces into the air, striking the ceiling and leaving spark trails before falling back to the ground.

The black strands that had bound Wakara to the ground, now constricted her entire body, driving the broke shards already in her back even further than before. Wakara's cries were mixed with the booming roar and clashes, silencing Calypso's cry of frustration and confusion of what was happening before her.

A large, black, stone-like hand emerged from the depths of darkness which now drowned Wakara's body into a fit of black strands worming their way around her. The hand, nearly taking up a quarter of the council hall, clasped tightly around Wakara's body, digging the stone claws deep within her, penetrating every living moving organ she has in her, then opened her body. Wakara's body erupted, nerves, organs and tissues were flung carelessly to each side, smashing on any object in the way. Not even her last cries came out before her own death.

The room soon filled with the horrid stench of Wakara's poisonous blood which worsened the sight for Calypso. Cal, still in the state of a sickening shock turned her face away from the gruesome sight of her teacher literally crushed-- bones piercing through her skin, blood pouring from every hole made into her body-- and vomited every bit of being she had in herself.

[[...Ok, that pretty much sucked. I need to redo this post one day. ~.~]]

"Waka!?" Kaze cried out only to find that his best friend was torn apart and splattered in this once beautiful place. His eyes were filled with shock and terror when seeing her die before him. This day was never supposed to come. He vowed to protect those close to him and now this. His mind filled with a million different thoughts. His teeth gritted when he knew his own life was in danger. He let out a cry as the once clean silk red cloak tore apart to reveal two black wings. Tears of blood ran down his eyes as he looked to the ceiling. Kaze growled as a ball of light formed in his hand. This powerful blast was sent straight to the ceiling to clear a path for Kaze to fly out. "We can't lose the champions! Not yet!" Kaze shouted angrily when glaring at Kinneas.

Kinn was incapable of doing anything but staring at the gruesome death of one of the Counsel members. A powerful presence was the cause of this but that was obvious to all. He soon heard slightly of what Kaze said. Looking over, Kinn saw the halfbreed fly after him. With a grunt, Kinn felt a hand grab onto his armpit so that Kinn could be taken to safety. "Wha...What?!" Confused at the most, he saw the pieces of stone and debris fall down at them. He soon looked down and noticed no floor under him. This thing is saving me?

Kaze's eyes were wide open when seeing his clear path outside. He hoped for the most part to see the rest escape as well. If Calypso was trained by Wakara, she would find a way. In truth, he felt pity for the human and it was the only reason why Kaze helped Kinneas. His wings were growing weak already when flying higher to freedom. Last me a little longer! Please!

Styx uncoiled himself and peered inside, just in time to see Wakara's demise. He roared in anger, and quickly uncoiled himself completely, though she was a demon, Wakara was still a council member, and thus had earned Styx's respect. He yelled out, "WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE?!" He made sure not to touch the ground, fearing that what ever this thing was would come after the rest of them next. He called out, "EVACUATE THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS! GET OUT!" He flew up into the air, to get out of the way of the door, if need be, he could carry someone out.

Crusher had watched the whole thing unable to do anything to stop his former lovers death. "Wakara..." He growled slightly and used all his strength to supress his feeling the best he could. I need too stay calm, I need to hold in... my emotions.

His eyes glanced toward Calypso. "Calypso, we need to get out of here!" Crusher walked toward her and stepped infront of her blocking her view of what happened to Wakara. "The only thing we can do right now is escape."

As she reached the council doors, Evelline took a hold of the door knob and turned, pushing the door open as a thundering crash resounded through the hall. Hesitating lightly, she peered inside, only to stumble back in horror at the massacre that had begun. Averting her gaze as she watched the inevitable death of a council member, she quickly retraced her steps as she came onto a window, finding it rather pointless to walk all the way down, and without a second thought, jumped down, allowing herself to transform yet again.

Without hesitation, Calypso grabbed hold to Crusher's arm, thrusting her body closer to his. Her head pressed hard into his chest as tears flowed endlessly down her cheeks, the image of Wakara carelessly shredded to pieces still lingering in her mind. Her voice trembled and shook, as well her hands, when she spoke to Crusher, peeking around his arms to see the massive wave of jagged tile flooring submerging into the Earth.

Feeling the comfort of his body near hers, and knowing the history he shared with Wakara and the family they had, Calypso felt most safest in his grasp than any other stranger in the council hall.

"Take me," she murmured. "Take me anywhere. I don't care. I can't be here!"

Kaze's figure appeared at the top of the Counsel along with the still shocked Kinneas. His teeth were fanged and his fingernails turned into claws. Most of his power was being used even for such a small task. The wings were barely capable of keeping Kaze sustained in the air, him almost falling back into the building. Sweat dripped from soon perspiration kicked into his body. "Boy! I hope you can handle this!" He strained his arm while bringing Kinneas closer to him and soon tossing the human away from the building. Kaze soon felt lighter and actually capable of moving again.

Kinn found the forces of gravity pulling him back to the earth. Dammit! Not the snow again! Soon the air around his body rushed with excitement and altered his appearance. He seemed more like a mirage now as the air shifted and changed for Kinn's speed burst. His body soon dashed from the air and onto the ground in less than a second. His body broke the sound barrier even in such a short distance with a great sonic boom. Kinn's body landed on the ice but soon his feet slipped and let the boy land straight on his a**. "Damn!" He muttered out when trying to get up quickly.

Styx now circled overhead, above the Council Hall, his long snake-like body gently wiggling as he flew, like a water snake swam through the water. He scanned the ground below and said outloud, but mostly to himself, "There is definant evil at work here...A Council Member is dead..." His growled and scanned the ground to see if the rest had made it out, from what he could see, they had indeed. His massive form swooped down and began flying next to Evelline as he said, "This is terrible...What has happened here...What manner of beast would slaughter a Council Member in such a way?!" He was incredibly angry, upset and worried at the moment.

Feeling unnerved as she perched herself upon a somewhat far tower, the colossal being bared her fangs, growling slightly as she sniffed the air once. Glancing back at the other dragon, Styx, she remembered from his introduction, Evelline nodded her head. "Without a doubt and that council member must have known something that was a great threat or been too dangerous herself..." she added lightly, though her eyes remained narrowed as she watched, trying to comprehend, to figure out what exactly was going on.

"Alright, I understand." Crusher said quietly as he slowly let his black dragon wings out of his back. He flapped them slightly as he picked up Calypso in his arms so it would be easier to carry her. As he flapped his wings harder he slowly took flight quickly rising into the air. Crusher was now a few feet off the balcony as he flew away from the Counsel. He circled back and wasn't getting overly far away. "We should wait for the Leader of the Dragon's, you'll at least be safe in the meantime. That's all that I can think of doing in this situation." Crusher was making sure to keep off the ground and kept watch waiting for any signs of his leader. He had spotted the Leader of the Dragon's along with the Dragon Champion. Crusher flew toward them slowly carrying the Calypso in his arms.

Styx wrapped himself around the same tower, but not as tight so that about half of his snake like body was elevated, so he could be at the same height as Evelline. He growled and said, "This is certainly, unnerving...With a Council member dead...More than that, the Councilor for the Demons, we are in a bad position...Suppose some radicals claimed that either we or the Humans were the cause of this assassination...Most likely us, since the Humans from my experiance lack the knowladge of the Arcane to use such deadly magic...But suppose some Demon Radical were to finger our kind as the assassins...We could have another war on our hands...I was in the first one, it was not pleasent..." He sighed, looking at the sky for a brief moment and then said, "We should find our Representive, and make sure he survived..."
