GothAlucardFangirl6 Nope! Vampire sex=sucking each others blood..... But she has alot of imagery...very descriptive about sucking blood too! But I suggest to read one of her books, they are very good and provide alot of cool vampire information..... What about Lestat? I thought he sexed up lots of people.

Bloody Shadow GothAlucardFangirl6 Vampires can't have sex. If you read Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned Read it don't see the movie because it was horrible to the book! Anyways, Lestat talks about looking at himself in a mirror when he is completly naked and talks about "the dead useless organ." Of course he is refering to male reproductive organ. But I support AxI. neutral I thought she wrote books that included vampire sex. In almost every one of her books too. o_O Yeah, all my friends who have read her books say that a good chunk of each book is vampire sex. =

Well please note the anime ending is entirely different from the manga. But in terms of the anime no I do not think he should have turned her. Alucard is a vampire and that's fine but Integra is the head of an organization and has a oath and a job to do and becoming a creature that she has sworn to kill whether she'd be good or not goes against that ideal.

One thing that I found wrong with your statement is that the end of the anime was a "fill-in-the-blank" Depending on how you think the ending really could have gone a number of different ways. To me she hs Alucard make her a vampire. But to someone who has a totally diferent viewpoint she could yell at him and tell him to leave her be. Though in the manga: SPOILER ALERT She does release Alucard from his servitude.

About the spoiler: I only saw a few pics and heard people talk about it, and from what I gather she just let him release his power to the highest level, which is Level 0.

I'm not sure then...... though Erin did post a new fan karaoke which had the Dandy and Rip come back with the level 0 thing.

So she would be doing a very very stupid thing by releasing Alucard from her servitude, no?

I think Integra would be an awesome vampire. At the end of the anime I thought fo for sure she would chose to drink Alucard's blood and become a vampire. Hellsing had pretty much been destroyed and the Hellsing named shamed. So I thought she would accept the offer.
And about the sex subject. I think the Hellsing vampires can have sex. Remember the couple that went on a killing spree didn't she give him a bj. And one of the Valentine brothers talked about raping and killing Integra. As far as reproduction with a human, no I don't think so. And I hate the whole virgin aspect, in the anime in mentioned nothing of this, but it the manga it reveals you have to be a virgin to become a vampire. But come on being a virgin, what does that really mean, as long as you hymen is not broken you can receive the dark gift? Thats too difficult is discuss.
I feel like Integra shoul hold on to being a human and running the Hellsing Organization, but I think she should realize how much she cares about Alucard, and decide to become a vampire.

Guess we know the answer to this question. Heh, it's great looking back and seeing everybody's theories. So, Hellsing did fine without Alucard around, there wasn't any embracing, and Alucard proved he care enough for Seras and Integra to come back.

I don't like to use the term "embrace". I mean, this is Hellsing, not Vampire: The Masquerade. stare
Anyway, this is the way I see it. In the TV series, in which becoming a vampire was glorified as transcending human limitations, it's almost entirely certain that Integra became a vampire. I mean, just look at that knowing smirk she gave Alucard at the end. It screams "turn me". In the manga, in which vampirism is frequently condemned as a curse, it's a little trickier. I think that Integra's particular views on the subject are the key to determining what decision she'd make in the end.
Integra views vampirism in a very neutral, very pragmatic manner. As far as she's concerned, it can be a gift or a curse, depending on whether the vampire can handle it or whether he can't. She knows that vampires must assimilate the life of souls through the medium of the blood, but she doesn't seem to care.
Most importantly, Integra doesn't believe that all vampires are monsters.
Combine Integra's beliefs about vampires with the fact that she's considerably more open about her feelings for Alucard, and it's probably not going too far to say that Integra may have become a vampire in the end. On the other hand, it's also probably not going too far to say that Integra may have remained a human.
I think that, in the manga, either outcome is equally possible. 3nodding

LOL WHERE THE HELL DID THIS THREAD COME FROM.
Please, Jesus, don't let our Integra ever choose vampirism. But I really think Integra is too proud of her strength as a human to ever give her humanity up. ("Don't underestimate humanity, freaks.") And I know that Hirano purposely left the ending ambiguous so every single little fanbrat can have the ending s/he wanted, but I will NEVER be convinced that the chance of Integra choosing vampirism is as great as the chance of her keeping her humanity.

And I know that Hirano purposely left the ending ambiguous so every single little fanbrat can have the ending s/he wanted, but I will NEVER be convinced that the chance of Integra choosing vampirism is as great as the chance of her keeping her humanity. Hasn't anyone read any of my recent posts? To Integra, vampires are not necessarily monsters. She doesn't consider Alucard or Seras monsters. She never did. Her father taught her to believe that vampires are monsters, but his teachings were challenged immediately after his death, when Integra was nearly killed by a human, her uncle, and saved by a vampire, Alucard. In fact, at the end of the series, Integra is closer to her vampires than she is to any humans. To Integra, a human is a person who fights because it is his duty to fight, not because it is his pleasure. Alucard fought for 30 years to return to her, because it was his duty to return to her. He fits her definition of human perfectly. Because Integra does not seem to care that vampires need to drink blood to sustain their own life, it's perfectly possible that she may have become a vampire, because becoming a vampire does not require her to forfeit what she believes to be her humanity.
