You guys have driven cross-country? Wow. The farthest we've driven is from here* to Michigan and back to see relatives. (16-hour trip one way) We usually do 8 and 8, though I could probably go longer. I don't think I could make it from here to Cali that fast, though.

(*Here = Boston)

Our relatives live all over the country. Grandparents in Virginia, Grandparents in Oklahoma, Cousins in Michigan.... Add that with my dad being in the military, yea we travel a lot.

I end up having an extra dimension a lot of times. I like putting a new spin on this world, besides the place a lot of my stories take place in isn't really a big part in the story so since I know this world it's just easier to use this world.
