Klah leaned down to peer at the tiny human, but straightened back up at his master's name. He happily sent an image of the bluerider to the two women. However, the image was a little off. He showed R'ign to be small enough to ride on his back and a very tiny Kerth looking rather jealous. Or maybe it was just that the flit imagined himself rather huge.

"I don't-" Her sentence was cut off by the sudden image from the flit. Tolara struggled to hold her smile in but it bloomed regardless. She shook her head with a smile.
"Not particularly, but... Wine and disagreements can escalate." Tolara shook her head, eyes darkening slightly.

"Excuse me, Lillianna it seems my presence is need elsewhere..." He bowed to her and called outas he walked away with Selene, "Maybe some other time..."
"And did you have to be so rude. If mine presnce doth disturb you thou may goeth else where." He teased her back. He tried to act normal but new this, well he tried not to think about it that way.

Freya had been up early...she had some last minute things to set up in the infirmary and had just decided to get it done before leaving for the gather. Upon arriving at the field, she caught sight of the Weyrwoman and her new baby standing next to another rider. She bowed low and said respectfully, "may your son be long in life and strong in health" before moving on, nodding to the rider as well.
She wandered the stalls, just looking and taking it all in. She didn't have many marks to spend, so that's about all she could do...she was saving them for a good wineskin at dinner. Finally she caught sight of Lireal and made her way over. She was standing in front of some sort of game booth..."Heya! What's this?"
----
Selene grinned wickedly at Daniel. "I see you made a new friend...you should ask her to dance later," she said. "Anyway, the highstep is over so time for your bit in that jazzy little number that Darenal put together and then I stay for the waltz." She frowned pensively. "I wonder where the Masterharper is..."

"Maybe..." He tried to avoid her gaze. He was hoping to be gone by then, or at least have his ride. He reminded himself to get away after his set. "I doubt he would miss such an occation. It being his first as MasterHarper and all. Ah here we are..." His stepped up to the podium and reached down to help Selene.

She took his hand as they stepped up onto the musician platform. "Sharding skirt," she muttered darkly. "You're not planning on leaving, are you? But it's dancing! Gathers don't come everyday..." she said in shock. He might as well have said it...she knew what he was thinking.
She took one of the chairs that was set up already and began to tune the violin. Various other musicians began to filter on, and some of the dancers stayed by the floor, lounging on benches that had been set up or sipping at drinks.

He waited for her to finish. He didn't know he was that easy to read, luckly she didn't grasp the full meaning. "Leave a perfectly good Gather, no. I'll finish this set maybe listen to you then I have business to take care of..." He consentrated on her fingers as they manipulated the strings so they could achieve their perfect pitch. "Which song are we starting with again?"

(( sweatdrop *finally decides to have Alerai come and wander*))
Alerai slid off her seat and thanked her ride before gathering her items and heading into the gather. She saw several new faces, and guessed for others. She did see some of her fellow harpers, however, and was glad to know they were here. The blue flit on her shoulder peered around him in interest, and, with a launch into the air and a flap of his wings, was soon flying above the gather, showing Alerai what there was. She hoped he found the Masterharper at some point: She had some instruments for him to sell... She wondered if this where the Harper Hall booth got all its goods as she tried to find the Masterharper...

"Hey Freya!" She nearly died with relief at the sight of a familiar face. This guy was starting to scare her. "It's a game. With some fairly disappointing prizes, I might add. I thought it might be something of interest, but it's a high price for cheap toys." To tell the truth, she was more than a little disappointed, but she couldn't give away how much she had in her bag. At least not this early on. Plus she'd had to work hard for it every where she'd been. Maybe later. Or maybe she'd wait till after the hatching. "So, you've been to a gather before, right? Any thoughtson something interesting to do?" She decides to ignore the weird and way overly priced game for a minute. After all, if the guy thought she didn't have any money, he'd be wrong. Unfortunatly, he wouldn't be that wrong at the moment.

"I forget the name...it's the one we practiced last sevenday," she said. She flipped through her music sheets and showed him the first page. "Ah, remember? This is the one you hated when we started it because you have to hold that last note so long..."
She finally hit the perfect pitch and stopped fiddling with the knobs. She tucked the instrument under her chin and strummed the opening notes to alert the dancers, who began to take to the floor again. "Alright, ready when you are!" she said, poised and waiting for him to start singing.
---
Freya looked from Lireal to the shady gamster and decided to play along. "Hmm...yes, disappointing indeed..." she said offhandedly. "To tell you the truth, I don't really know what there is to do. You want to go look at some of the booths?"

Taking Selene's advice, Dilian puts the paper in his pocket and walks towards the entrance. I hope I bump into her...Eagleyes (( sweatdrop *finally decides to have Alerai come and wander*))

He walks to her and asks with a warm smile, "Can I carry those for you?" I hope she doesn't think I am odd.

(( sorry, i can only get to a computer at night)))
Lillianna had been talking with her flits, and when she snapped back into focus at the Gather, the man in blue was nowhere to be found. Oh drat, I've lost another contact. Hmm.. Well, I guess I might as well go join in the dancing. I've been missing the dancing and singing. She wandered over to the dancing square and quickly found a partner, and began dancing to a rollicking jig. After the dance was over, she bowed to her partner, and staggered off to find a bucket of water for a drink. She found one over by the Herder's tent, and got a drink. Then, she wandered back towards the tents in blue, where the other Harpers were. As she went inside one, there was a choir reherseing. Standing at the back watching, she found herself hummning along. The song was about the brave dragonriders, flaming the deadly silver strands from the stunning skies above, risking danger, death, and disaster.

T'thia broke from yet another dance and declined an offer of another. she was tired. she stepped off the dancing square and took a second to strighten her harper blue gather clothes and re-set her bronze dragon rider shoulder knots. she decided to wonder the tents. purchasing a small bubbly pie she grinned. when she entered the harper tent area she was suddenly swarmed by young children
"are you realy the bronze harper?!" one eager girl inquired "is it true you can be harper and rider?" another young boy. the eager young faces pressed in on her until a more mature voice broke over the mayhem "will you sing for us miss Triant?"
T'thia spun and a broad smile instantley broke across her face
"Niko!"
she raced forward and embraced the attractive young man. she had almost grown up with the harper lad. she stood back and twitched the journeyman knots on his shoulder
"you've done well i see"
he grinned and gave her own a tug "not bad yourself"
T'thia beamed and Niko gave her his famous sideways grin with the tilted head "so how about that song? you always were popular in vocals"
T'thia blushed at the compliment. Niko pushed off from the stall he had been leaning on and began to herd the young children off to the side and away from the bustle of the gather "come on Tri, i got my gitar, just a few songs"
T'thia shrugged and fallowed after the small group. setting herself on a log, Niko beside her, her friend struck the begining cord for a traditionl ballad, simple enough, and even the youngest child could join in on the chorus, which they all did. T'thia had excelant breath control and a superb saprano, Niko added his fine baritone to the chorus of impressive trebble and alto's from the children. T'thia found herself lost in the songs, it had been so long since she had shared her gift of voice with anyone other then her dragon, and she reveled in this oportunity

Klah gave a disappointed chirp at the fact that the Weyrwoman, the tiny person, and the bluerider didn't have any food for him. Oh well. He'd go find some elsewhere. So he flapped off to find an abandoned meatroll, or so he hoped.
R'ign sighed and leaned back a bit. It seemed that business overall was rather slow. Perhaps she could take a small break. It only took a few moments for the bluerider to tidy up her stall and close it up before merging into the crowd to browse the stalls a bit before returning to her own. And perhaps she could find a bit of Benden wine here...
Nikiana and Nalan were sharing identical, secretive smiles. Oh how they couldn't wait until their turn. They were right after the current group. Nalan was carrying a small drum to help his sister keep the beat while the girl had her gitar slung over her shoulder.
