"It looks like it would make carrying alot of things around easier. Speciall when all you have is pockets or a small bag." Hell she could shove her brother in a bag that way. Though shrinking live things never did well from what she had read before.
"Yea ...I'm not really good at it cause i dont have anyone to practice with other than dad though"

Kaleb nodded in sympathy. "I haven't had many people to practice with either since I moved to the area."
He stopped in front of a small shop, and pushed open the front door with the tinkle of a little bell overhead. "Here we are," he said with a smile, giving a passing nod to the owner behind the counter as he made his way to the "Arcane Arts" section near the back of the aisles.

"Really?" She followed him though the store toward the books. "Maybe we could help eachother?" She tried to keep her tail from wagging behind her as she though about actually getting to practice.
"Though .... i am probably way behind wherever you are so i'd be a bad study partner"

Kaleb almost grinned, it would be nice to have someone to practice with again. "Teaching is a form of learning," he said as they found themselves in front of the shelf. "Even if you're not interested in the same magic types as I am, I would still enjoy the company."
Although it was a rather small shelf, the arcane arts section held a great variety of magical books. Out of habit, the mage scanned the shelves for any books related to healing or shielding, but didn't see any he didn't already have in his collection.

"Well then maybe i can convince Father that it would be good for me to go study with someone. I dont think he'd complain if it was you since you are friends with Dad."
She scanned over the books and pulled down one that was for the basics. She didnt know what kinds of stuff she could really do other than the portals and maybe water stuff because of Demyx. So the basics would be a good place to start.

Kaleb nodded, if Luxord trusted him to keep Demyx out of trouble, it wasn't likely he would object to Nonet studying magic with him. It was a little weird thinking of her as his closest friend's child, but he wasn't nearly as nervous around her as he was with most new people. It was probably the familar coat that did it.
"Parents are usually pretty agreeable when it comes to studying," he said in an offhand manner.

"Yea, and it would get me out of the Castle. Father says we need to learn more so he should like it."
She flipped though the book then tucked it under one arm as she pulled down another one that was for water based things. "I think these would be good things to start off with...."

Kaleb looked at the titles, finding her choices interesting. "That book on water spells looks pretty informative, you'll have to let me know if it's any good." He adjusted his glasses on his nose, for all his healing expertise he knew only a little about water-based magic.

She nodded as she carted the books toward the counter to pay for them. Luxord had given her some money and she had enough for the books and probably a snack before going home.
"I will..... it looks like it will be fun. Though i will have to hide it from my brother cause he'd probably mess it up" Either that or he'd say one of the spells and blow up a room

Kaleb blushed a bit at her last comment and his tail twitched nervously, even with all his training even he blew up rooms every now and again during his research. "I-I never had a brother, are they really that bad?"

"Well ... Viv is a spaz. Its like Demyx on speed or something." She giggled. "And the other's are mean. My sisters are cool though."
She paid the man and cuddled the bag with the books

As hard as Kaleb tried, he really couldn't imagine anyone like Demyx only... more than Demyx. "I never had any brothers or sisters," Kaleb said as he started heading towards the door. "I don't think I would have made a good big brother, so it was probably for the best."

One of her ears perked. "And Demyx makes a good dad?" She giggled and followed him toward the door. "I think in the end as long as you love you family it works out in the end. Or something like that"
Her siblings got on her nerves but she still loved them. Well maybe not Requiem he was mean and nasty and who cared about him.

Kaleb smiled, "I would think Demyx would be a fun dad. But you're right, family relationships are the important things." He pulled open the door to the bookstore with a tinkle of the bells overhead, and headed outside.
A gust of wind struck him as he stepped out the door, and he glanced up at the darkening sky as he tried to fix his messed hair.

"He's fun, but not really a Dad, ya know?" She tilted her heard slightly. "I mean he dosent even really admit that he has kids. Even though some of us look like him and everything he says were not his."
Once outside she looked up at the sky. "Its gonna rain...." She coud smell it.
