Akin being the grouch that he was right now shook his head, he was old fashioned still to old fashioned for his time. "I'm glad that you came back to set things right, but you'll have to decline the request seeing as I don't think he is fit for you." he looked to her honestly.
Nass looked to Casai, "I dunno but he looks like us." looking at his markings, her ears perked forward. She wouldn't be the one asking the lion who he was...no no no. She was way to shy for that little deed.

Casai nodded. "He does... doesn't he?" She wanted to go ask him, but it looked as though Shairi and their father were about to get into a big fight.
Shairi's warm eyes grew cold. She knew this was going to happen. "Well Daddy, It's not your decision. It's mine. I am no longer part of this pride. I am part of Adrastos' pride. I am going to be the Queen of Cerulean Waves."
Afu sensed that this was a first time for his normally warm and kind mother to get angry, expecially with her parents. He felt very uncomfortable, but he had to speak up. "Grandfather, I know you see my father as unsuited for your daughter, but having been with her since the day i was born, and growing up with them to watch over me and my kin, I know that my father cares very much for my mother. How is that not fit for her? He loves her."

He glared to Shairi and turned his attention to Afu, "Your father came into my lands unannounced, and would not leave willingly. As he came he was scented of other females. What makes you think that he will stay with my dearest Shairi, or even you Shairi." his eyes softened, "I won't let you get hurt," he added softly.
"He called daddy, grandfather." She eyed him, "So he must be Shairi's cub...rather son." she eyed his size again.

Casai nodded. "So is he our... cousin?" She said after thinking about it for a minute.
Shairi shook her head. "If only you took the time to know him, you would know he's not like that... He does have other children, but so do you!" Shairi wasn't going to stand for her father's unruly behavior toward the lion she loved, nor her son.

((Sorry I was not aware that there was a new thread for the pride...I will try to work in my rp post so that it will cover everything that all of you have mensioned.))
Essence having heard the roar in the middle of the converstaioned with his mother shivered a bit. He bowed his head respectfuly as his mother ran off to her mate.
As the family rejoiced in seeing each other he stood as much of an outsider as his friend. He sighed lighlty his body tense and slightly nervous. Watching all of his darken siblings and parents he could see why he left again.
Upon seeing two of his younger sisters drawing near to them he turned. He was not one for rejoicing at the moment. He could tell that his good intensions and sacrifice would be rather unaperchiated.
He looked at Aislinn and was about to say that they should leave when the smaller hairs on his mane stood on end. He could feel his father's presence near. And hearing him speak he turned, "Good evening father, you must be rather tired...and seeing how it seems you have more pressing matters at hand, my friend and I shall take our leave and maybe talk with you once things have calmed down."
Seeing the reaction of his father to his sister he nodded to Aislinn and started to head away from the drama with out even looking at his sister nor her son. He rolled his eyes wondered why he even thought anyone would care, seems she left the pride without worrying just like thier brother so there was no need for him to sacfrice any more.

Akin looked to Essence, "Essence, please..." he huffed looking to Shairi, he had her their but it was still different she was his daughter...this was slowly killing him it seemed. His orbs glanced to Kichea for help.
Nass looked at Casai, "No...cousins would be if Shairi was father's sister." She wrinkled her nose, "I think he's our nephew." she blinked looking to her and then to the large white lion and his friend.

Kichea nodded to her mate. "Talk with Essence. Shairi will remain here for a few days, and we can discuss once this turmoil has ended." She looked to her eldest daughter with a stern look, saying that there would be no negotiation tonight.
Shairi nodded, and then looked to her son. "Come Afu, We've journeyed far, let us rest." She looked to her father and brother. "It's good to see you again, brother." Shairi knew Essence did not consider himself one of them, weather it be the color of his pelt or his personality, Shairi still considered him a brother.
Afu nodded as he followed his mother, eyeing the children. Were they related to him as well?
Casai grinned at Ness. "Lets go with Shairi. I miss her." She said as she began to walk off after Shairi. She paused for a moment and then went back to Essence, twirling her tiny body around his front legs. "G'night Essence!" She said happily, thinking that tomorrow, she would see him and talk more. With that, she followed after Shairi and the other lion, whom... was her nephew?

Essence turned his head from his family, "Thank you but I think this matter is more pressing then mine, I will come back once everything else is sorted and the leader of the pride has had some time to rest, Thank you..." He looked down at the younder sibling that showed affection to him and nods, "Night little one."

Shairi led her son into the den where she had slept as a cub, laying down in the corner. She sighed aloud. "I fear your father may have to come after us after all... You will be free to go because it is not their choice, but as for me..." She shook her head, her bright eyes going dim.
Afu sighed as he sat next to his mother, nuzzling her gently as he did when he was a kit.
Casai padded up behind them, a smile on her face. "Shairi!" She said happily as she ran over to her and jumped on her side, sliding down and batting at her sister's flecks.
Shairi forced a smile. "Hello Casai. I see you've grown since I've been away." She looked from Casai to Afu. "Afu, this is my baby sister, Casai. Casai, this is one of my sons, Afu."
Casai grinned, her eyes happy and bright. "Nessie says that we're your aunts, even though you're bigger than us." She had reverted to her childhood nickname for her sister.

Nass was being a bit slow but none the less, she poked her head in the den where Afu, Shairi and Casai resided. She had used to be scared of Shairi and even Akin at one point but not anymore. She pranced in and wentto Casai's side. She raised a brow at the large Afu...he looked different.
Akin sighed softly as Essence didn't seem to want to talk tonight so he would let it go, he looked to Kichea again when she made the final descion. He had a pounding headache now he had just gotten back...well he though the sun was already sinking in the night sky. He went to Kichea and buried himself into her shoulder out of exasperation.

Kichea purred, attemting to offer her mate some comfort. "Akin, dear, Why don't we sleep for tonight? In the morning we can sort things out. Essence will return and talk with you and I tomorrow." She nuzzled him and then looked toward the den. "Shairi is happy with him, you know that, don't you?"
Afu looked perplexed. This little kitten, and the one that came up next to her, they were his aunts? And he was bigger than them? His eyes went to his mother, unable to answer the question.
Shairi laughed and nodded. "Yes, Afu, Casai and Nasseken are your aunts." She smiled and looked to Nasseken. "And you! You've grown as well!" She nuzzled both of her sisters by putting her face between them. "You're going to be sought after quite frequently when you're older, I can tell. Daddy's going to have his paws full..."
Casai grinned and nuzzled her sister back before laying down next to both of the sisters. She yawned, and blinked her eyes. "Mm tired, Shairi..."

Nass or rather 'nessie' nosed Shairi's cheek and giggled, she looked to Casai and agreed shaking her head softly, "I am too." Her purple eyes looked drowsily now the expression upon Afu had been quite interesting. She yawned softly and rested her head upon her paws.
Akin looked to Kichea listening to her, and then huffed slightly at the thought of Adrastos but Shairi did seem happy and quite content to be with him. His mind was stuborn as ever though but he seemed to be losing his grasp on the concept starting to think it wasn't so bad.

Shairi nuzzled the two. "Come on now. You should go to sleep. Mother and Daddy will join us soon." She glanced out of the cave's opening to see Akin and Kichea talking.
Afu smiled as he lay down next to his mother and... aunts... eyeing his grandparents warily. It seemed they had alot of issues at hand.
Kichea sighed, not able to tell what Akin was thinking. "Come my love, sleep will ease it all.." She said as she began walking toward the cave.
Casai nodded, and lay her head down on her paws, wrapping her tail around her body, feathers flicking just infront of her face.

Akin followed her, he stopped looking back over the lands...so much was happening so soon. His eyes flickered back to Kichea and he followed her into the cave, his stomach feeling like it had been turned and it showed even though he tried to hide it.
Nass didn't take long to fall asleep she laid by Casai and fell into a trance and then fell soundlessly, the only noise was the sound of her 'whooshing' when she exhaled.

Kichea lay down, staring out over her children, and her grandchildren apparently as well. Her crimson eyes surveyed her mate and she sighed. "Be well, my love, and sleep." She said calmly as she lay her head down on her paws, smiling as she watched her two youngest sleeping soundly.
Shairi watched her parents lay down before she said a soft, "Good night, mother, daddy."
