Has anyone noticed that the duel roses of the student council seem to get progressively darker and go down the color wheel?
Red Blood Red Burgundy Royal Purple

Ivy-chan Has anyone noticed that the duel roses of the student council seem to get progressively darker and go down the color wheel? Red Blood Red Burgundy Royal Purple That's just weird, man. xd The weirdest thing is that all but three of them are red. Tsk, girls and their red! xd Sounds like some listing for lipstick colors. Barentine lol thanks guys. No sadly, I wont be playing the 'Dorian Grey.' Couldn't risk you guys already knowing the back-story if anyone here had read Oscar Wilde's novel. Not to mention I think it would be a little strange to have Dorian Grey attending Ohtori. Too much suspicion with the whole non-aging thing. Still, there will be little 'easter eggs' for anyone who's a fan of the book since there are some similarities between the characters. ... and I totally have the hots for Adrian Derrik sweatdrop heart Awesome work, Yamino. Welcome, Barentine! I like your character as well. xd heart

Ivy-chan That's just weird, man. xd Yeah... we need a nice bright blue, green or yellow, worn by a vicious, conniving sweet, unassuming sociopath personalty to join the Duels and backstab all and sundry be everyone's confidant. cool

I thought the colors were weird too. xp I tried to pick my color with symbolism, which is why I still couldn't pry myself far from the color when I found out about the monochromatic Student Council. I wish I could have gone with a nice green or something to break it up.
Also, has anyone else noticed that art's a pretty popular skill among the Student Council? Rachel, Femke, and Adrian all have it listed in some way. Here I was, thinking I was going to be so original. xd

I picked needlepoint for Rachel because it's something I've done (years and years ago) and have friends currently doing. Plus, it's not as commonly seen as drawing or painting. smile

Stupid writer's brain had to go, "No! TEH SYMBOLISM! I cut j00!" And since I listen to that hoity-toity part of me way too much...bam. We have burgundy. I would have chosen writing, but that just felt a little too close to what I do all the time. Besides the fact that having a character who writes really requires little research. With needlepoint, there's probably tons of little words for the types of supplies and all kinds of...well, obviously, I know nothing about needlepoint. biggrin But all the lingo for writers is stuff like 'comma' and 'verb' which everyone should know already. Most of the hard stuff can only be heard from the mouths of English teachers. I'm notorious for overthinking. Can you tell? biggrin

I chose art for Adrian because I am an artist myself and can amp up "artist angst." xd He's the only one who isn't listed as a fencer, ne? Like Utena, he's never fenced before, but he has... other skills. ninja I made him a mechanic because trying to figure out how things work is part of his character, especially things he thinks are all a setup (Like the upside-down castle).

sweatdrop Aye, I've always loved the arts, so I've always included it in Angel's profile. And blood red is my favorite color. ninja So I just had to use it... I'm happy I didn't use royal purple though. xd Thats another of my favorite colors..
Noir isn't listed as a fencer. She uses a two-handed long sword. SE-PHI-ROTH! ...Nah. xd

Ha ha, I have to include myself on the list of people guilty of having their character have artistic abilities. He can't draw or paint, but he does have artistic family members. It's that art thing. It's addictive, or attractive, or something with an 'ive'.

I used to draw, but I don't really do it anymore unless there's an image in my head that I'm trying to convey for a story and drawing helps me flesh it out. I was pretty good for anime art, if I do say so, but not all that much else. I'm still in the trap of drawing things too lifelike only making them look ugly. Not as bad as Napoleon Dynamite, but still not that great. xd
Besides, when I was still doing it for its own sake, it would take me an entire afternoon to draw and color and everything. And I could write how many pages in that time? Right. I'll stick with that. I've been trying to learn art terms for Femke's sake though. If she's going to be some sort of master artist, I'm going to have to know what I'm talking about. sweatdrop

Yamino Tenshi Like Utena, he's never fenced before, but he has... other skills. ninja So are you trying to say he's a ninja? Does he flip out and kill people? Ninjas are soooooo sweet. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. Okay, I'll stop making stupid references now.
