A thud could be heard down the hallway, and a few minutes later, Flarie wandered into the kitchen, rubbing her head. "Stupid wall...Stupid darkness," she mumbled. She stopped long enough to spot Skye at the table, then wandered to the fridge, looking for something to eat. "You're up late."
She muttered something that sounded like 'so? you're up early' around a mouthfull of snickerdoodle. A craving for sugar and cinnamon had urged her to bake earlier and that was the results. Besides... They went well with tea.
Amazing, this was the first thing that she had actually been able to eat for a while now. Her appetite seemed to be returning... It couldn't be all that bad.
"I've slept too much lately as it is..It's the only escape from getting sick," she said, grabbing a soda and shuffling over to the table, where she plopped down on the chair and bent over, rasting her head on the table. "I dunno if I can handle this.."
She looked over at Flarie, raising an eyebrow before quickly looking at the can of soda. "Should you be drinking that? It doesn't have caffeine, does it?" She grabbed for another cookie, munching at the edges of it before dunking it rather absently into her tea.
She sat up and opened the soda, looking at it for a moment. "I don't know..I really honestly don't care, as long as it makes me feel better."
"I'll pick up some gingerale for you tomorrow... I've heard that's good for upset stomachs... As well as crackers." She blinked, looking over to Flarie. "Anything else you want me to pick up?"
"Oh, no, That'd be fine. No cravings yet, so no need to send you on runs for anything outrageous," she giggled. "How have you been feeling? You seem...Different."
She chuckled, lifting her cup to her lips in order to take another sip of her tea. The warm liquid felt good... So much different than the cold that was still haunting around the house. She would be glad when winter was finally over.
"I've been feeling fine... A bit hungry, which is something that I'm not used to." She glanced up to Flarie. "Of course, it's been too quiet around here. The kids are still alive, aren't they?"
"I would certainly hope so!..And you're right. They have been quiet. Too quiet. Think they're plotting against us? Or just hiding because they're afraid I'll get even more moody?"
"I'll have to check in on my two soon..." She shook her head. "'Vyn needs to get out of the house. Staying up in that room of his all of the time is going to be the death of him... And yet, I can't really argue with him about it because I haven't left the house much lately myself."
She sat there, looking at her soda..She wasn't all too sure she still wanted it...Maybe she'd take it back to her room with her. That would work. "Maybe you guys should go on a family outing or something? Go camping...Get out and do something?"
"Camping?" That required being outside... Which wasn't that bad... Outside was nice when it wasn't cold, afterall. Of course, that brought up the point that it was cold. "I don't think that's a good idea. 'Vyn would be more inclined to leave us in the middle of the woods somwehere."
She stared down at her teacup. "I don't know what we could do though... There has to be something..."
"We can take him to a club? He can meet some nice people..Find himself a...Boyfriend? I'm not sure who he likes anymore.."
She sighed, watching the liquid in her cup swish around a bit as she moved it. "Maybe he and Lana could get out of the house to go to a club together... I always end up in trouble when I go to places like that and I'm sure that the kids would find it embarrassing to have their 'parents' roaming around with them." She blinked. "As for his relationship status... Last I thought, there was something going on with Rae... But I haven't seen or heard anything from he or his twin in months now..."
"I will be sure to kick Lana out of the house sometime soon then. I'm pretty sure she'd probably have a lot more fun with him than us anyway. I doubt I'd be very much up for public places myself anyway, with the morning sickness," she said with a sigh.
Finally, she set her cup aside. She folded her arms on the table, lying her head down upon them soon after. "So many miserable kids... Idunwanourkidtabemiserable..." Her last string of words were mumbled against the sleeve of her bathrobe.
Flarie blinked. It took her a moment to figure out the last bit, as it was muffled slightly, and she frowned. "I don't think it will be. Things are...Different. I mean, it's our kid. Not one we've adopted or anything..Besides, we can't be doing that bad as parents. None of the kids have run away!"
At that last sentence she looked up at Flarie. "'Vyn tried running away once or twice... Ash likes family too much to try..." Her brow furrowed as she stood and made her way over to the sink, setting her cup down. It could wait 'til morning to be washed. "Have you talked to Laire yet?"
She banged her head on the table. "Stupid..I knew I forgot something..Remind me of that in the morning."
She glanced at the clock for a minute, blinking once or twice in order to get her eyes to focuse. "It is morning... How about I remind you when we wake up?" She chuckled, turning towards the hallway. "I'm going to bed."
"Alright..Have fun, sleep well," she said, watching Skye walk down the hallway. She sighed and grabbed her soda, going off to bed as well. Bed was a good idea..

Skye's Thoughts ~ March 2nd...
I give up. I am NOT going back into my blasted laboratory EVER again. Every bloody time I go into that blasted room to work on a project something ends up going wrong... Mind you, being a man wasn't too terrible... But that is above and beyond the point.
My hair is gone. Not gone as in gone for good... Or gone as in 'Hey! I'm bald.' It's gone. Singed by something that exploded because SOMEONE went through my things AGAIN. If I EVER find out who it was there will be HELL to pay. HELL I tell you!
I've salvaged what I can... But it's still incredibly short. The horns seem to be rather happy about it, catching all of the light that they can. I, on the other hand, am not pleased at all. I do believe I will stay in my room until my hair decides to grow back...

Flarie sneaks down the hallway, trying to follow Skye as quietly as she could, as she was not ready to be noticed yet. She had been in an odd mood all day. For the first time in a while she was starting to feel better...She slipped a box halfway down the wasitband in the back of her pajama pants, and tackled Skye "Good morning! And it's after midnight..I can say that."
"Good gods and goddesses!" She cried out as she was tackled, doing her best to brace herself on the walls of the hallway. "Woman! What on earth do you think you're doing? Trying to knock us both onto the bloody floor?" She wasn't angry... Just a bit off-ish. She still hadn't been sleeping well and the recent outburst betwen Lana and 'Vyn had taken a toll on her nerves.
"Why not? Seemed to be a good idea," she said, messing up Skye's now short hair. "You need to relax...Just a little bit. If you get stressed, you'll get sick. And you can't get sick, because I need you."
Her lips drew into a frown when Flarie ruffled the feather-like locks of red hair. She still wasn't too pleased about her current appearance... It made her feel so boy-ish and young. "If I get stressed?" She blinked. "I won't get sick."
"Yes you will, don't argue. I bought you something preeeetty," she said, pulling out the nice box and handing it over. When opened, it would reveal a nicely crafted rose.
She opened the box slowly, biting down on her lower lip as she trailed her fingers slowly along the stem of the rose. "It's beautiful... Thank you."
She hugged her, and walked around into the kitchen. "So, how's 'Vyn doing? Any better?"
"He's awake now... But he won't talk about what happened." She shook her head, giving one more glance down at the rose before setting it aside on the counter in order to make tea. Afterall, that's what she had come down here for to begin with. "Tea?"
She frowned. She was still unnerved at Lana's actions, but didn't want to talk about that.."I...No thanks. I think I'd rather find something to eat." She wandered around the kitchen, looking for something that peaked her interest..
"Suit yourself." She smiled softly as she prodded at the buttons on the microwave. "I do believe that there's some leftover chicken in the refridgerator from supper. The kids didn't seem to interested in eating for once... Even though I cooked."
"Mmm..Chicken." She shuffled to the fridge a poked around for a moment, "You know something's wrong when they won't even eat your cooking. Maybe we should do something?" She picked out a small bit of chicken and went over to the table, plopping down on a chair with a sigh. Things kept going from bad to worse, and she was still wondering if it was her own fault.
"Ash said that she ate earlier at the adoption agency that I got her from..." She shook her head, still finding it hard to believe that the whole 'mind over matter' thing had worked with her little ghost-girl. Now, even if she was still rather shy, she was talking just like everyone else. It was reassuring... That at least something was going right.
"I still haven't seen Laire around..." Her brow furrowed slightly. "She didn't move out of the house, did she?" It was meant to be a joke and she laughed ever so slightly as she pulled her mug from the mic, dropping a tea bag into the waters to steep.
Flarie blinked. Come to think of it...She hadn't seen Laire around either. "That is the LAST person I want to see moving out. Seriously." She sighed again, and looked down at her lap. She knew Lana was gone, just wasn't ready to tell anyone yet. She had a pretty good idea of where she'd disappeared to..
"Just imagine... She'd live in a house full of fluffy things and eat nothing but sugar..." She chuckled as she made her way towards the table, gently placing a hand upon Flarie's shoulder. "It would be like living with Cerena... Only without Rae and Lea."
She jumped slightly, and then settled back in the chair. "Dear god, sounds like the house from hell. I doubt I'd be visiting very much," she said with a giggle.
"I doubt any of us would..." Her thoughts trailed off towards the other house that she had refered to... Along with the two boys. Gods only knew what was going on with the two of them. She only hoped that whatever it was, Rae was still alive.
"Skye...Do you think I'll be an ok mom?..I mean, I've screwed up with Lana and Laire. I don't know anything anymore.."
"Awww... Sweetie, you didn't screw up with them." She set her teacup aside, kneeling beside Flarie's chair as she took ahold of one of the other woman's hands. "Laire was created by someone else...and, all things considering, I think she's turning into a fine young lady. As for Lana?" She sighed softly, shaking her head. "You didn't screw up with her either... I'm guessing this is just something to do with her past... She'll grow out of it."
She closed her eyes and sighed deeply. "Yes, grow out of it..I hope...I'm getting tired, I should go to bed." She stood up and smooter out her shirt and pants, trying not to look as nercous as she felt. "I'll see you in the morning.."
"This is the morning." She smiled softly before placing a kiss to Flarie's cheek. "Sleep well, Flarie... And don't worry. Everything will work out in the end... Remember?"

Company
Skye seemed nervous as she flitted around the house making various preperations for the arrival of the friend that she had invited over. She hadn't had real guests at the house since Thanksgiving. Flarie and her family didn't count because they were living her on a permanent basis. This was different.
All of the various creatures had decided to stay out of her way. The two felines, Cloude and Fae had, had hidden in the library. The wolves were calmly lying about in the den and anything else with any sort of intelligence was hiding.
Of course, intelligence ruled out Li'Han who was trotting about the kitchen as Skye finished her baking. "GET OUT!" She screeched as the Ashita nearly tripped her. He whimpered softly before crawling under the table...nearly toppling the piece of furniture. He didn't seem to understand that he was far too large to be doing anything like that.
Flarie poked her head into the kitchen. She had no clue what was going on as of yet. "The house is quiet...You havn't murdered any children have you? Seems as if someone has put the fear of God into everything," she said, giggling. She looked around, then finally stepped into the kitchen. "What are you doing anyways? Did I miss something??"
The kitchen smelled heavily of chocolate and cinnamon... Snickerdoodles and chocolate chip were the cookies of the evening and she had spent a better part of the day trying to make them just right. Who the hell decided what 'just right' was anyways?
She glared at the fiery Ashita as he ducked behind Flarie, gently nuzzling against her leg. Flarie would protect him from the mean lady. Yes, she would... That is, unless the mean lady yelled at her too. Then she could hide back under the table with him.
"I didn't kill anyone...and the others know better than to bother me while I'm cooking." She nodded as she dropped a few herbs into the teapot, reaching a hand up to pat at hair that was far too short for her liking. Was she even presentable to anyone like this?
WinK reached a hand up and knocked on the door, smiling softly as she surveyed the house. It certainly was cozy, and while everything seemed quiet -too quiet- there were signs of many inhabitants that couldn't be seen. Skye was probably terrorizing the poor things into behaving.
"Still didn't answer what you're doing," she replied, poking out her tongue at Skye as she reached down to pet Li'Han. "You're...Jittery I guess. Nervous.."
Pets! Pets! Glorious, wonderful pets! His tail swished back and forth as he leaned heavily against Flarie's leg. She could be his new mistress... He wouldn't mind... Not at all. Pets and food. Food. Wait. That's right. Cookie? He looked up at her, trying to project that thought into her mind.
Skye, on the other hand, quickly caught on to the sound of the door. "I'll be back... Don't let him eat anything." She said sternly before slipping into the hall. She ran her fingers through her hair once more, fluffing the feathery remains of what had once been beautiful red locks. She then tugged her bodice into place, adjusting herself properly before swinging the door open. "Hello!"
WinK grinned broadly, lunging in to hug Skye. "Hello! I hope I'm on time? Oh," she giggled, waving a hand. "I know I'm not, I'm almost always late, but still, for me I hope I haven't kept you waiting." She nuzzled Skye's cheek before stepping back, her hands touching at the woman's red hair. "New look?"
"Blah...You heard her, I can't give you anything." She looked down at the animal, and sighed. "She's acting different. Do you know why?..No..I suppose you wouldn't.."
Cookie. Cooookie. Sugar. Please? He looked up to her, trying to appear as pitiful as he could. Surely she would feed him then. Who could resist a horse-like dog thing with wings?
She felt her cheeks flush the very moment that WinK touched her hair. The hug had been nice... But the hair had been a mistake. She frowned, looking down to the floor. "I... Had another accident up in my lab. Someone mixed things around and a few potions exploded. This was all I could salvage."
She quickly shook her head, taking WinK by the hand and tugging her inside. "You're not late at all. I've been baking anyways... Flarie's already in the kitchen."
WinK giggled and followed Skye happily inside, making sure to close the door after her. "I'm sure it will grow fast, won't it?" As soon as she took a breath in through her nose emerald green eyes sparkled. "Oh! You baked sweet stuff! What'd you make, hmm?" Skye must have figured out her love for sweets, one of her weaknesses.
She giggled and shook her head, "That look won't work on me. Laire uses it all the time. If you want something sweet, I suggest trying her. She has...some ungodly stash somewhere." She took a seat at the table and yawned. 2 days away now...That wasn't so bad.
He snorted slightly in an attempt to show his displeasure before scrambling off to find this 'Laire' that he had been told about. A streak of fiery colors passed Skye and WinK in the hall.
"Blasted Ashita..." She grumbled, doing her best to keep from toppling over once more because of her guardian beast. "Chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles... Along with some tea. I figured it would be best to have some sort of comforting foods..." One more turn and they were in the kitchen.
WinK blinked, surprised at almost being knocked over by a ... she had no idea what, but it had almost knocked her over. Her head was craning around, trying to figure out what it was as she talked, being pulled along. "OOoh, cookies. I'll surely take some of those, yes," she said, turning her head around after not seeing anything and smiling into a kitchen.
Flarie blinked as the two walked into the kitchen. One of Skye's friends?...Why not tell her sooner that they were having company? She might have dressed nicer then. "Uhhhm...Hello."
When she heard Flarie's voice she was dragged quickly back to the reality of the moment. Heavens... What on earth had she been thinking?! This was a horrid idea. A bit too late to be thinking that. She blinked. "Flarie... This is WinK. I've told you about her." She smiled sheepishly. "WinK, Flarie... My housemate and soon to be mother of my child." Wow... That sounded so strange. Especially amongst a room full of females.
WinK looked at Flarie and grinned broadly. "Oh, Flarie, you're just beautiful!" she crooned, scuttling over to the pregnant woman and giving her a gentle but firm hug. "When are you due?"
She glanced back at Skye, pouting a little. "You never told me you were expecting!'
She blinked again, and scooted back in the chair slightly. Strangers hugging her....Anyone hugging her was odd. She flushed slightly. "Uhm...Thanks?..Not sure when I'm sure yet..I should really go..see about that I guess. Er..Nice to meet you?" Her brain was still trying to catch up. Wink?...Yes, Skye had told her something about her...
"I could've swore..." She blinked. "You mean I didn't tell you?" She ran her fingers back through her hair and, for a moment, her face held the same confused expression that both of the other females had seen upon the features of a man's face no more than two weeks ago.
"Well... Now you know." She laughed nervously as she looked between the two, putting her best smile onto her face. She really hoped that Flarie wouldn't dislike WinK.
WinK stood up straight and shook her head, her wavey hair shaking halfway down her back as she did. "You never told me ... Is there anything I can do to help you two out?" she said, sitting down at the table opposite of Flarie. Her elbow rested on the edge of the table and her chin rested in her palm, her green eyes sparkling happily.
She looked to skye and shrugged. "I have no idea..I'm pretty new to this. Skye made a room fup for the baby already..Er.." She was really nervous. Meeting new people is always so stressing!
Flarie would see Skye looking for some sort of approval and then, she'd quickly look away, grabbing the tray of cookies from where she had been keeping them nice and warm on the stove and setting them on the table. "Cookies? Tea too... But, if either of you don't want tea I could make something else..."
It was so strange having two women that she'd come to care a great deal for sitting here across from each other. WinK appeared to be taking it well, which was good... But Flarie? "Right now, I think we've got everything under control... But later we might need a hand if the others decide to bail on us." Others meaning their teenagers.
WinK smiled softly, taking her elbow off of the table and setting her hand in her lap. "I'd like both please ... and if it wouldn't be too much trouble, some honey for the tea?" she said, flashing a smile at Flarie.
"I'll help whenever I can! I'm sure my kids wouldn't mind me babysitting at all anyway," she said, shrugging. "Aurora likes kids, as well as Morgon and the Nereids. And of course Keelan is so little right now, he'd have no problem."
"I don't wat anything, thanks," she said, her eyes widening a bit at the thought of all the children abandoning them. That was scary. It'd been way too long since she'd been near a baby..Wouldn't kids be better at keeping up with one?
"Yes..Babysitting is much appreciated. I'm sure eventually I'll feel like leaving the house again." She giggled. It was odd, she hardly knew this person, but babysitting sounded good already..If only someone could do that now...and take the nausea too.
She scrunched her nose, pouring three cups of tea despire Flarie's decline on her offer. She set the cups carefully on a tray along with the honey jar that was shaped like a bear. She thought it was cute...but that was neither here nor there. She then grabbed three spoons, tossing them on the tray as well.
She sighed a sigh of relief when she hear Flarie laugh. That was a good sign... Maybe she and WinK would like each other afterall. Carefully, she carried the tray towards the table, sinking into a chair as she grabbed her own cup. "The tea might be a bit flowery... I tried a new jasmine blend..."
Grinning she simply said, "Well, then never hesitate to call if you'd like to go out without the little one."
WinK smiled, taking the cup closest to her as well as the spoon, grinning at the honey jar before dipping the spoon in. Pulling it out, still straight up and down (she didn't use a lot) she put the instrument in her tea and stirred quietly. "I don't mind tea, it's almost all I can make, I'm a horrible cook and I teend to burn things, she said, her cheeks flushing red.
"See Skye! It's not just me!" She sat back in the chair and crossed her arms over her chest, sticking out her tongue once again. She scooted back a little more. She didn't like the smell of the tea at all, it was...different. Not bad necessarily, just not good either.
She bit back the comment that was swimming around in her mind as WinK set the offer to babysit out on the table. Thoughts like that were better left elsewhere... Like in the gutter where they belonged.
She blinked, raising her cup smoothly to her lips without adding so much as a drop of sugar. That instant mistake was noticed as soon as the taste touched the tip of her tongue, eyes going wide. "Gah!" She scrunched her nose, scrambling for a spoon and some honey...as well as a cookie. "Yes, well WinK has a reason for not being able to cook... What's yours?" She grinned teasingly.
WinK let a peel of laughter that sounded like small tinkling bells loose when Flarie addressed Skye. She didn't know how bad the woman's cooking was, but if it could compare to her own then she felt bad for the red-head. WinK couldn't even step into a kitchen without a stove wailing in dispair.
Glancing at Skye she raised an eyebrow and giggled softly, "Nownow, Skye, be nice!"
"Gah! That was soo not cool," she said, picking up a cookie and tossing it at Skye's head. God, if Laire had seen her waste a cookie like that, she'd be dead right now. Or taking the cookie to the ER...
"Keep in mind I know where you sleep."
She managed to catch the cookie with the reflexes of a cat. Bwuahaha! Alright, so she wasn't always such a clumsy woman. She wagged the cookie around in the air at Flarie, teasingly grinning at the woman. "I should hope that you would know where I sleep... Afterall, you've slept there once or twice yourself." She then flushed brightly after saying that, hoping that WinK wouldn't be upset... Such a people pleaser she was, especially when it came to people that she cared about.
Wink looked at Skye over the edge of her cup as she took another sip, her eyes twinkling mischeviously. These two together were amusing, but in a very sweet way. It reminded the angel of puppy love still going strong. Setting her cup down she smiled, choosing to stay quiet, her eyes still sparkling.
Flarie's face turned red, and she sunk down in the chair slightly, grumbling something about payback for that later..And something else about mooses.
She chuckled, breaking off a bit of cookie and tossing it at Flarie. "Lighten up, love. I should think that it would be obvious that someone knew where one of us were sleeping... Due to your current state and all." She then popped another piece of the cookie into her mouth. It seemed as if she were just digging herself a nice little ditch that would probably leave her covered in dirt soon enough.
Wink watched the exchange before giggling, taking a cookie and munching it slowle before saying thoughtfully, almost serious if it weren' for the laughter shining in her eyes. "Flarie, if you'd like I can help you hide Skye's body," she said sweetle before giggling.
"I'd appreciate it very much," she said, glaring at Skye. She sunk down further in the chair now, completely red. She wanted to disappear. Yes..That was a good idea.
"Woe is me... I do believe that they're both against me." She brought her hands up to cover her eyes, making a big fuss over her mock tears. Dragon tears. Yes, that's what they called it when little kids did things like this. How fitting. She sat up straight, hands falling back down to the table as she looked back and forth between the two. "Alright... That being the case, I will leave you two to your plotting." She pouted as she stood, taking her teacup with her towards the sink.
Munching on the rest of her cookie she swallowed then smiled at Skye's words. Wink, not even missing a beat, turned to Flarie with an impish grin and whispered loud enough for anyone to hear, "I think we should poison the tea." She nodded sagely, trying not to laugh.
"She probably did it herself. Beware of the tea!" she replied, giggling, and sitting back up in the chair. "She's probably been plotting againt me from the beginning. Ain't that right Skye?"
"My tea is not poisoned." She huffed as she began to wash her cup. If it was she would've been dead quite some time ago as it was one of the only things that she could regularly be seen consuming. "And, Flarie, I have not been plotting against you from the begining. Plotting in this house is best done by your youngest daughter, remember?"
WinK laughed and mused aloud, resting her elbow on the table to hold her chin again. "Of course, she might be harder to kill now ... those horns might have made her stronger somehow," she said with a smile.
"Laire is good at plotting...Dear god..She's going to kill us all!" She squeaked, and looked around. "I would never kill Skye. I need her around so the baby doesn't drive me insane when it gets here. Yeah..That's it," She giggled.
"Yup. That's it. The horns have made me stronger." She snorted softly as she stalked back towards the two females, shaking her head as a smile slipped over her lips. She then looked towards Flarie rather sternly, arms crossing over her chest. "Isn't it past your bed time, little miss?"
WinK smiled, knowing not to laugh. If Flarie was as tough a lady as she put on she might argue with the bed time ruling. Of course, if Skye had said that to WinK herself, it would have other implications. She wondered if this one did too. Standing up she took the leftover dishes to the sink.
"Aww, honey, you know I can't sleep without you," she laughed, scooting away from Skye before she could try anything. "Aren't I a little old to be told to go to bed?"
There had been no sort of hidden implications... Just genunine concern about Flarie's wellfare. She knew well that the half-elf didn't sleep nearly enough... At least in her opinion. Of course, she didn't sleep either. She hoped that the baby slept. "Nope. You're not too old to be told to go to bed at all." She grinned. "Especially not now that you're pregnant. Pregnant ladies get bed times in the house of the Skye."
WinK chuckles as she washed the leftover dishes, mumbling happily, "I'm glad that I cannot get pregnant then." She hummed lightly, trying her hardest not to eavesdrop. But she was nosy, so she did anyway as she dried off the china.
She frowned...and looked at her feet, then clung to the chair. "HA! You can't make me go! So there!!"
"Fine. Stay awake." She stuck her tongue out at Flarie before padding over to WinK. She'd carry Flarie upstairs later if she had to... "Speaking of staying... Are you going to pass the evening here? Or are you heading home?"
WinK smiled warmly at Skye, setting the last of the dry china on the counter. She had no idea where the red head had pulled them from. "Whatever you wish, sweetling," she said, her eyes suddenly sparkling. "I could stay if you choose. If I stay, where would I sleep?"
She let go of the chair, and wandered around through the kitchen to find crackers. Those were better than cookies..She wanted salt. SHe mumbled something inaudibly, trying to keep herself out of the conversation.
"This house has many rooms... I've been sleeping in the room that's been set aside for the baby more often than not as of late. That leaves my room empty for your use, should you wish it." She blinked as she looked up to WinK, catching that sparkle in the angel's eyes with a grin. She then turned back towards Flarie, scooping the female into her arms. "You're going to bed too."
WinK smiled and nodded, wondering where exactly Skye's room was, but since the horned-lady had suddenly scooped the expecting Flarie up into her arms she thought it would be best to wait until she was safetly into bed.
She squeaked and meeped. "Hey! I dun wanna go to bed! Not yet!! Help!!..uhh..Rape! Help!"
"You can't rape the willing." She chuckled as she spun Flarie around a bit before stopping and staring down at her. "I'll set you down only if you promise to go to bed soon... None of that staying up all night stuff, you hear me, Flarie?" She then cast a grin in WinK's direction, eyes glittering mischievously.
WinK flashed a grin at Skye, her eyes sparkling just as mischeviously as the red-head's. "I'm sure that she'll go to bed when she's good and tired, sweetling," she said simply to Skye.
"What she said. Put me down..Before I get sick. You don't want that do you?" That was such a nice threat. Not fun to do...But good to threaten with. "I'll go watch tv or soemthing. Put me down."
"Alright..." She chuckled as she set Flarie down gently on her feet. "Sleep well, sweet Flarie." She bowed politely to her housemate before offering her arm to WinK. "Allow me to show you to my room..."
WinK smiled at Flarie and wiggled her fingers in parting as she was tugged away by Skye. "It was nice meeting you! Sleep well!" Turning around she smiled at Skye. "Flarie seems wonderful ... reminds me of Hatter," she said with a giggle.
She smiled sweetly and grabbed a box of crackers, wandering off to the livingroom and plopping down on the couch. It didn't take a long time before she'd fallen asleep, forgetting completely about her food and Skye and Wink...
"She reminds you of Hatter?" She seemed somewhat stunned by that... Especially because Hatter didn't seem to overly fond of her at all. She really didn't think that Flarie hated anyone that much. Their conversation would continue on as they walked through the halls and up the stairs, finally ending just outside of Skye's door. "I fear my room is nothing like yours... As dark as yours is light. Will you be comfortable in there?"
WinK shrugged innocently. "Just the way you two act, it reminds me of Hatter and myself," she said. Chatting quietly she stopped to listen to Skye's description and wrinkled her nose. "I'm not sure honestly. Usually," she added with a sparkling grin, "if I'm spending the night somewhere then someone is with me. And I don't sleep much." She giggled.
"In that case, I suppose that I shouldn't leave you alone in a strange place..." She chuckled as she opened the door, ushering WinK inside. As she had said, the room was rather dark... But it was comforting more than forboding. Silver trimmed the various bits of black furniture and celestial themed decorations were everywhere. "It's not much..."
WinK smiled, looking around, her finger tracing over one of her decorations, a moon. "I like it ... It's calming almost," she said with a yawn. "Makes me tired." With a giggle she crawled into bed, thrashing around in the covers until she was comfortable.
She watched WinK for a moment, shaking her head as she closed the door behind her... Too good of an oppourtunity to pass up. A night cuddled warmly next to someone. She slipped between the covers with WinK, slipping her arms around the other female. "Sleep well, ivory rose."

"Winners and losers, turn the pages of my life..." Skye's Thoughts - March 14th Life as I know it has changed. I woke up a week ago to find a man in my bed and, for a moment, I believe that I just might know how Flarie felt when she rolled over and saw me. When you're used to having a woman a man isn't the first thing on your mind... Even if it is a rather beautiful man.
Flarie is becoming more and more pregnant as the days go by. I find myself wondering how this is going to work out... If the baby will be born like a normal baby or if she'll end up laying an egg that we'll have to wait for once more. I'm ruling out the egg theory, seeing as though she isn't the dragon.
Would it be painful to lay an egg?
Lana has moved out of the house. She and 'Vyn went out one night and, when they returned, a fight began leaving him bloodied in the snow and her denying that she'd done anything. Flarie and I haven't gone to find her yet... I am sure that we will soon enough. It's just a matter of everything happening at once.
Ash got into a fight at the adoption center. She hasn't said much about it... Or written much about it... I worry about her. My little girl is growing up so fast... I just don't want her to grow up too fast.
Back to why I originally started this entry; WinK is a man again. I will have to reintroduce him to Flarie. The two have already started to plot my demise. I do believe that they'll get along wonderfully after a while. I'm glad. If they get along then I can keep him for a bit.

Flarie stood on the scale in the bathroom, looking down and shaking her head. No no..This was not right..She was getting fat. Ergh. She poked at her stomach and grumbled "I hope you're comfortable in there," before stepping off and wandering down the hallway, wondering where Skye was..She had to blame her for her weight gain.
Skye was in the library with Ash. The two were pouring over one of the various books on mythology. She had started to show an interest suddenly... As if it would help her explain something. The little girl was doing a great deal better than she had been a couple of days ago and Skye seemed a bit less ruffled over the fact that two of her kids had gotten the snot beat out of them in two weeks.
After much searching of the house, she found Skye and Ash in the library together. She hung back at the door, not sure if she'd wanted to intrude or not. The way things had been going lately with the kids...She wasn't sure if disturbing Skye was a good idea.
She looked up as Ash stood and scooped a couple of books into her arms. She was off to her room to study on her own now that she'd gotten a few tips from her mother.
She shooed the girl off with a soft smile before turning towards Flarie. "'Ello there, stranger. I was begining to think that you didn't live here anymore either."
"Oh I'm here visiting from my lost dimension of my house. I believe my laundry has finally eaten my room," she replied, giggling and walking into the room. She stopped a few feet away from Skye, and looked down, then back at her. "You made me get fat."
"Then maybe you should do your laundry once or twice a month instead of waiting 'til it pours out of your room and into the hall." She chuckled softly before looking at Flarie in an attempt to figure out if she was serious or not. "I didn't make you 'get fat'. You're gaining weight because the baby is growing."
She plops down in a chair and sighs. "But there's weight there too. And i'll have to go through hell to lose it after the baby is here. And I do my laundry...once a month is good, I don't usually wear a whole lot...In fact...I really don't know where all the clothes came from.."
"It won't be too bad... I usually do a light workout in the morning. If you're ever awake in the hours that use 'normal' people call morning you could do it with me" She grinned as she leaned her elbows on the table, propping her head up in her hands. "They seem to appear around here... Maybe someone likes you enough to buy you new things?"
"Think the children are trying to tell me to wear more clothes?" She snickered. "By morning..You mean that thing they call when the sun rises? Oooh...Well, I guess with a baby keeping us up all night, it'll be easy to be awake in the morning."
"Maybe... Of course, Irvyn's always rather blunt about things like that." She chuckled, fingers toying with a strand of her own hair. "Remember that time we went out to the club... And he refused to let me leave the house?"
She giggled and nodded. "Bah, everyone wears too much anyway. I hate clothing. It's too confining. If I didn't have children, I'd probably be naked...a majority of the time."
"Clothing isn't all that bad if you wear the right sorts." She chuckled. "Of course... If you insisted on prancing about in the nude all of the time I'm sure that someone would say something and they'd make you wear clothes anyways."
"Well, no men would complain at least," she said, laying her head on the table. "I'm afraid we may have to go find Lana soon..She hasn't tried to contact me in any way..I'm wondering if she's hurt."
"I'm sure a few would..." Like the men in the world like her son. She shook her head slightly as she chuckled, tone growing a bit serious before she continued. "I'm sure that she's alright, Flarie. News spreads rather quickly around these parts... If anything happened to her you'd know."
Her eyes closed slowly and she sighed. "I'd feel better if I got to talk to her...I will give her a few more days..But then I'm going to go find her."
"I'll go with you... I know you're her 'mother' but after last time..." She sighed softly, leaving the rest of her sentence unsaid. It was probably better of that way... She didn't want to think about it and she was sure that Flarie didn't either.
"I trust her still, you know." She thought about the day Lana ran away...And what she'd done to Irvyn...She just couldn't believe she'd done that. There was no way in hell..
"I know that you trust her... But, you're pregnant... And I wouldn't be a very good daddy... Er... Mommy if I let you go by yourself anyways." She nodded. Damn. This was just going to get more and more confusing as time went by. "What is the baby going to call us?"
She giggled and sat back up, shaking her head. "I have no idea...And I honestly didn't think about it until now. Maybe it can use our names? I can imagine telling everyone "mommy" for both of us would get confusing."
"No... No kid of mine is going to call me 'Skye'... 'Vyn doesn't count." She snorted as she crossed her arms over her chest. She was going to be stubborn on this one. "Of course, the baby's going to call you 'mommy'... Since you're the one who's going to give birth and all... But 'daddy' just doesn't seem right for me."
She sat and thought for a moment or so before running through a list of words aloud. "Mam is too close to mom... Nodel, Aesthyr... Seren, Lloer... Awyr..." All of those words were in a different language... Three different languages, to be exact; Draconic, Elven and Welsh.
She shook her head, the only thing she could understand was the elven. "You're going to have to tell me what some of those mean...They sound pretty, but for all I know, you're cursing me.."
She chuckled as she looked up to Flarie. "You know as well as I do that the curse words don't sound nearly as pretty... There's always a bit of a bite to them." She went through and explained what each of the words meant along with the language corresponding with them. "Of course... That means we'll have to teach the language to the baby as well... Once he or she is old enough."
"Well...Lloer sounds nice. And would be easy for a small child to say..But do you feel up to teaching it another language?"
"I wouldn't see why not... Afterall, both you and I speak Elven, aye? The other two... Well... Welsh is somewhat like a second nature to me... And I'm begining to get the hang of Draconic... Somewhat... I think." She chuckled nervously.
She grinned, and slid down slightly in the chair, looking down at her stomach. Hard to believe there was life in there.. "Alright, I see nothing wrong with it. Maybe it will make the child smarter.."
"The baby will already be intelligent." She spoke as she stood up, making her way towards the door. She stooped beside Flarie, pressing a kiss to her cheek before heading out into the hall. "It has you as a mother." From there, she continued on to her bedroom. It was rather late...and a nap would be nice... For once.

Flarie hops down the hallway, and makes her way upstairs to her room. It was getting warmer outside, and she figured it was about time she find something decent to wear to go outside. She threw on a short sleeve shirt and some sweatpants quickly, and leaned over to scribble something in her journal. Quote: Morning sickness is gone, and spring is almost here! I can go outside again without freezing my a** off! I must make an appointment at the GMFC soon, so I can see how the baby is doing! She closed to journal and quickly made her way out the door, reminding herself to write more later about how things have been...

She too had gone to the store that day... To pick up a few things for the baby as well as a couple of books. It seemed that her library was missing the few volumes on 'care of babies' that seemed to be sitting on all of the shelves in various stores. She had wondered how that was possible and nabbed most of them before realizing that many had the same information only worded differently. All had been quickly returned to the shelf and, instead, she grabbed the book on baby names.
It was with that book that she was now seated in the den, curled up on the couch with her favorite of the three wolves, Sen. He was the oldest and, no matter which mood his mistress may have been in, he always seemed the most calm. "Whoever thought that there would be soooo many names..."
A familiar face peeked around the corner and peered into the den. It was obvious Flarie was there, as she had decided to wear some odd bouncy antennae today, and they had showed up long before her eyes did. It looked quite odd actually. She pondered whether or not she sshould bother Skye..She looked rather comfortable in there..But she couldn't help but wonder what Skye was reading..
"You know... This would be alot easier if I knew what the baby was going to be..." She sighed as she leaned across the couch, running her fingers through the silky green hair of the wolf. "You don't have these problems... You wolves name the pups after their born... After you know how they act and such. Babies are supposed to have names." She continued to chatter on to the wolf who seemed more interested in the pets than he did in her actual words. She didn't even notice the odd bouncies peeking into the room at her.
"Thinking of baby names without me," she giggled, finally stepping into the room. "I think I should be involved at least a tiny bit you know. And I'm sorry I don't know what it is yet...I've heard there were a bunch of sudden pregnancies at the clinic, it's near impossible to get in..." She wandered into the room and sat down on a chair, leaning back and trying to get comfortable. "Try unisex names?"
She peered up from the couch before tossing a pillow at Flarie with a chuckle. "I was not thinking of them without you. I was letting this book think of them for me." She nodded, trying not to grin too broadly.
"And I will not look at unisex names. Then people will be confused once the baby gets here. We'll have to dress the girl all in pink in order for them to know she's a girl.... Or the boy all in blue." Not that there was anything wrong with the color blue. She liked it a great deal. But, she was certain that a girl could wear it just as well as a boy could.
The wolf took this moment to slide off of the couch and out of the room. If the strange lady was going to talk to the dragon lady then there would be no petting. Just talking.
She grins and shakes her head. "We don't need it looking like a pink or blue bomb exploded on the baby's clothes. I'd like it to wear colors besides those..I guess you're right...Well, we could pick a name for each gender? That way we're at least ready.."
"Alright... Well... In that case, where should we start?" She looked over to Flarie as she patted the now empty space of couch beside her. "There are so many different names in this book. Some of them go along with personalities... Some with looks." She shook her head with a chuckle. "I guess it's pretty safe to say that our kid will have red hair?"
She moved over to plop down next to Skye, grabbing the pillow that was tossed at her on the way over and throwing it back. "I would hope so, if it's born with anything other, I'd be worried," she giggled. "Start with boy names I guess? I'm not going to name based on looks...we don't know what it looks like!"
"You'd be worried?" She laughed as she caught the pillow, setting it on her lap after she pulled her knee up beneath her. "Everyone in my family has had red hair of some sort... I'd just assume that it really wasn't my kid." She was teasing, of course. They'd already had their argument about that subject. It hadn't been pretty. "Boys names it is..."
Flarie poked her tongue out, and folded her arms over her chest. "A few of my family members had purple hair. Though..I was raised by fairies, so I guess that does make a difference." She sighed, and poked at Skye. "So, before you look at the book..is there any name you already had in mind?"
"I think that a few of the males on my father's side had black... But, most of the direct line had red of some sort." She nodded. "Come to think of it..." She shook her head. "Nevermind. I already started looking at the book because I had no ideas. It's alot easier to come up with names for the various creatures running around the house than it is to come up with ones for a baby that is, for all current conversation, still genderless. What about you?"
She shrugs, and tries to get a good look at the book. "I honestly hadn't been thinking about it. I was trying to wait to find out what it is. But it seems like something fun to do!"
She was half tempted to tug the book away from Flarie and hide it beneath her just to see how far that would go but, deciding that she really didn't want anything else thrown at her for the moment, she handed the book over to the other woman. "Another thing... What are we going to do when you go into labor? I... I've read a bit and it doesn't seem like something one wants to be alone for. Most people have doctors... Do you like doctors?"
"I didn't think about that either...And time is getting short isn't it?...Doctors scare me though. All the poking and prodding and needles," she shuddered. "Not something I'd look forward to.."
"Hrm... Maybe one of our friends knows something about delivering babies then... Or perhaps a relative?" She blinked before looking over towards the book. "We'll figure something out... Names first. That way we'll know what to call our little monster once it gets here."
She hands the book back, and sits up on her knees ont he couch, resting her arm against the back of it. "i know no one who knows anything about babies...Do you?..Er..I guess names would be the logical choice first."
"I may... I'll talk to WinK..." She nodded. Maybe the angel would know something about babies. She took the book back from Flarie, opening it back up to the page that she had last left off on. "What do you think of the name 'Keith'?"
She considers this name for a moment, then nods, "I have no objections to that one, it's kind of nice actually..What's it mean?"
"Says here that it means 'the wind'..." She chuckled softly as she continued to flip through the pages. "Now, a middle name." She grinned, tossing the book back over to Flarie. "Your turn."
She giggles and picks up the book, flipping through the pages and scanning them. She made faces at some of the names she came across, and finally, "Ah! How about Devlin?"
"Hmm..." She sat there for a moment, pondering the name in her mind. "Keith Devlin..." She said it once or twice more begore grinning over to Flarie. "I like it. A good strong name... Now... Girls."
"Girl names...Girls have so many pretty names..This is going to be hard." She tossed the book back, and made herself comfortable once more. "You first!"
She blinked once or twice before looking down at the book. "I've always been partial to the name Moira..." She chuckled as she let the 'r' sound roll off of her tongue with a bit of an accent. It was often barely noticable unless she was angry and yelling, but she did have a rather lovely accent that sounded like something from one of the celtic isles.
"That sounds pretty..Nice and rolls off the tongue very well. I think if it were a girl, she'd like a name like that.."
She nodded, taking the book and standing slowly. "I think I'm going to go make some tea and head up to bed... We'll figure more of this out later, darling." She chuckled, reaching out to ruffle Flarie's hair teasingly. "I'll see about finding someone who knows how to deliver babies too."
She poked out her tongue at Skye as she went off to make tea, and yawned, wondering if she should go to bed herself....Bah...Who needs sleep? Now she must spend the rest of the night thinking of baby names!

"A rose by any other name..." Skye's Thoughts - March 20th Flarie looks like a house. There is no way in Hades that I would tell her that. Not now... And, most likely, not ever. I value my life too much.
But, that doesn't mean that I can't tell you that here.
She's come to 'talk' to me once or twice about it now... Wherein 'talk' means 'yell' and put all blame for her current state on myself. Of course, I believe that stage may have passed. Now she's in a rather odd stage that involves her new choice of attire. For some reason, she's taken to wearing a pair of bouncey antennae around the house. I'm not going to complain about it. They seem to make her happy. Happy Flarie means peace for everyone else... And blame falling away from myself for a bit.
I went out the other day to buy a few books to add to my library but, when I realized that most of them all spoke of the same thing, I put them all back and setted on a simple book of baby names. There are so many names with so many meanings...
Flarie and I sat down to discuss various baby names. We settled on 'Keith Devlin' if the baby is a boy and 'Moira Maeve' if it's a girl. At least the names are out of the way now...
All we have to do is figure out what we're going to do when Flarie goes into labor. She doesn't seem to keen on the thought of going to the hospital but she's going to have to if we can't find someone to deliver the baby. I'm going to ask a few of the people I know if they know anything and, if not, I'll look into a midwife. I'd rather have Flarie content rather than all worked up in a hospital.
Time shall tell.

Flarie Quote: I think Skye thinks I'm fat... She keeps giving me such odd looks lately, like she is thinking it but won't tell me. Am I that dangerous right now? But I am getting huge! the baby is BIG! I can't see my feet anymore!! I don't think I want to leave the house anymore...Or have any company. It's scary. We decided on names for the baby the other day smile They're pretty cute! I only hope the baby is cute...Well, if it's coming from me and Skye, it has to be.. Right?..

Today's Weather: Baby Showers! She had left a note on the mirror in the Flarie's bedroom for her to find once she woke up that morning telling her to come to the Silver Lining in Durem for lunch. No explaination. No reasoning for why. Just that she should be there and that she'd be very disappointed if Flarie didn't show. Afterall... What was a baby shower without the person having the baby?

Flarie Quote: And people wonder why I don't go out in public often.. I admire the fact that Skye threw a baby shower for me. Really. It made me happy that someone actually cares (I know she cares, really. I was just worried this baby thing still freaked her out some). But damn..I didn't expect things to go the way they did. There was much arguing, much fighting..and many headaches. I don't think I'm going to be leaving the house again until I have the baby. Some of those people..I just really don't want to deal with again. I'm less hungry lately..Maybe it's almost time? I read about that somewhere...loss of appetite in the last few weeks of pregnancy. It worries me..I still don't think I'm ready! Ergh..I only hope I can deal with this..

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions..." Skye's Thoughts - March 22nd It wasn't meant to be as bad as it was. It was intended to be a simple baby shower in which gifts were given to the beautiful, radiant mother of my child. Of course, that didn't happen.
Things are never that easy.
Everything started out fine and dandy until a man arrived at the party... A man that wasn't WinK (afterall, WinK doesn't count because WinK can be female should he really wish to be so). As per my wishes, WinK asked the man to leave. He put up a fuss and then his harpy of a wife proceeded to argue with me...
I would like to say that the afternoon got better from that moment. It didn't. It got worse.
Games... They are supposed to be fun. People don't play games in order to get into a fight unless it is a game of the mind. Baby shower party games are not games of the mind!
The game in question: Baby Scrabble. You take a sentence about having a baby and you turn it into other words. From there, you go on to compare your list of words to others... I was comparing my list to WinK's at the time... It's amazing how many words we had in common... But that isn't the point. The point is that we were comparing lists and having a rather jolly time in doing so.
He went to show his list to Hatter and she growled at him! The growling then turned to something akin to yelling when he told her to lighten up and chill out because it was a party... Afterall, there's no use being angry, is there? She said a few unkind things, a few of which I believe may have been directed towards myself, before storming out.
I hadn't intended for anyone to fight... Everything was supposed to run smoothly... Just a simple party for Flare.

Shoes and clothes went flying out the door to Flarie's bedroom. She was apparently in a very irate mood, and seemed to be very jumpy! She grumbled as she threw toys, books, clothes...everything into the hallway. This room was not clean. How could she take care of a baby if she couldn't keep her own damn room clean? Nothing was clean enough. She needed to dust..So much dust..
She threw a stack of papers out the door and fell over on to her bare bed, leaning back and hitting her head against the wall. "God dammit all," she grumbled, reaching back to rub the stinging pain away. That wasn't the only pain that was bothering her, but she knew it wasn't time yet...But it was getting close..She had to get ready..Stupid unclean room.
She got off the bed and went into her closet, kicking things out of the door and into the middle of her floor. Too much clutter. Some of this stuff needed to be thrown away. Ok, a lot of it needed to be thrown away...So much stuff...
She had found Flarie passed out on her bed after following a trail of shoes, stuffed animals and various pairs of socks down the hall towards the elven woman's room. It had looked like a tornado hit the upstairs bit of her house and she was almost glad that she hadn't been home to attempt stopping her.
Slender fingers wrapped around the covers, pulling them up over the elf's body. Her lips brushed against Flarie's forhead before she stood up. Silly woman... Wearing herself out...
After that, it was simply a matter of cleaning the mess that the other woman had made. Clothing was collected and taken downstairs to be washed and folded... She'd put them away later. Shelves were rearranged and toys were brought back into her room. When everything was to her liking she flicked the light off and left, almost as if she'd never been there.

A Wrinkle in Time//All Dragons Need Names
Pacing... Back and forth... Back and forth... She'd been at this for hours... So badly that the doctors had told her to get the hell out of the room and go find something productive to do because all she was doing was get in their way.
How could they blame her? Her first child was on the way.
When all went silent she froze. Slightly pointed ears tilted towards the general area of the door. She would deny that they moved at all... She was a 'normal' person... Not some sort of creature with ears that moved towards what they were listening to...
A cry broke the silence and she started towards the door only to be stopped when it opened. "Flarie...? How is she? The baby? Is it...?"
"Your son is fine, Ms. Starrfyre."
Son. She had... A son. A baby boy. A biological baby boy... A beautiful biological baby boy...
"Ms. Starrfyre... Are you alright?" The nurse reached a hand out to gently caress Skye's arm, startling her back into reality.
"Aye. I'm fine... Can I... Can I see him?"
"But of course, Ms. Starrfyre. They're cleaning him up so that they can bring him out..." The nurse turned back, smiling brightly as she looked just beyond the door she had come from. "Looks like they're coming right now."
The new mother's eyes went wide as she took in the site of her infant son for the first time. He was so tiny... So very... Tiny. Her lips formed a soft 'o' of astonishment at the little life as he was held out to her. Before she could so much as touch him she feinted dead away, falling back into the arms of an awaiting angel who had just arrived on the scene with flowers, balloons, and a stuffed animal.
... ... ...
She awoke slowly, blinking back what must have been sleep. Her eyes were blurry... For a moment she could've sworn that she was in a hospital and that they had tried to hand her a baby... She sat bolt upright when she realized that it had happened, quickly looking around.
With a soft chuckle WinK let her sit up, ready to catch her again if she fell. "No moving too fast now," he said quietly with a smile. "Are you all right?" He pushed his hair behind his ears, glancing up at the balloons he'd released to catch the dragoness that were now bouncing lazily against the ceiling.
"He's... So tiny..." She managed to murmur as she eased back against him, eyes blinking in disbelief. The nurse stood there with the infant, watching the rather odd scene on the floor.
"Of course he is ... he's just a baby." A chuckle pressed through his lips and he helped his love stand up gently, supporting her as he grinned at the baby boy. "Think you can hold him now? I've got you in case your knees give way again." He beamed at her from behind, placing a quick kiss on her cheek before nudging her towards the quiet infant.
She nodded slowly, turning an almost child-like smile towards him before holding her arms out to the nurse. Gently, the wee lad was placed in her arms. "There you are, Ms. Starrfyre..."
Skye simply beamed as she held the baby, holding him gingerly. One hand moved to tenderly trail over his tiny hand. "So very tiny..."
A warm smile blossomed over WinK's lips as his arms rested around Skye's waist. Looking down over her shoulder at the little child he felt an inner pang before he pushed it aside. "Do you know what you'll name him?" he asked quietly, reaching a finger out to touch the baby's nose oh-so gently.
She found herself chuckling almost nervously as the wee one opened his eyes to glance at WinK's finger. Such beautiful eyes... Such a beautiful baby... Just like his mothers.
"Flarie and I talked about names... We agreed on... Keith Devlin for a boy... My baby boy." She cooed as she began to rock him slowly back and forth in her arms.
With a smile he rested his hand back on Skye's waist, squeezing her gently as he stared down at the little wonder in her arms. "An amazing name for an amazing boy," he said, watching the dragoness coo at her baby gently. He was quiet for a baby, and to WinK he seemed like he watched and learned more than he fussed for attention.
After a moment or so the nurse stepped up, hating to interfere on such a touching moment. "I'm afraid I have to take him back now, Ms. Starrfyre. We still have a few things to do... And, now that we've got his name, we can finish filling out the papers."
A visible pout crossed her lips as she reluctantly handed the child back to the nurse. "You... Be careful with him."
Flashing a smile at the nurse who nodded at Skye he added quietly in his lover's ear, "I'm sure he'll be fine." He chuckled and nipped at her ear playfully. "Only a mother for a few minutes and already over protective, how cute." He smiled down at her, his green eyes teasing as a lock of brown hair fell into his face. "Hush up, you..." She chuckled as she turned to face him. Her silvery blue eyes were sparkling with traces of tears from the joy of the moment and all would have remained serene had it not been for the rumbling of her stomach. "Ooh..."
Raising an eyebrow he brushed his fingers across her cheeks gently, letting her know quietly that crying was fine if she wanted to. Then he heard her stomach rumble and his eyebrows knit together gently. "Have you not eaten all day?" He sounded slightly testy, and it was his turn to be over protective.
"I've been waiting for Flarie to have the baby... They kicked me out of the delivery room." She huffed her indignance before glancing away from him to look down the hall. "We could... Go to the cafeteria and then go see Flarie?"
A huff escaped his lips as he picked up the things he'd brought, though the smile on his lips was proof he was agitated no longer. "Yes, we may," he said, pressing a present into her hand. "It's chocolate, I've one for Flarie too. Eat it, since you're hungry," he said, pulling the balloons down with a smile.
"Fine, fine..." She shook her head, smiling brightly before popping a piece of the candy into her mouth. She then looped her arm through his, leading him down the hall towards the cafeteria. Chocolate was nice... But real food would be better.
