Minty glanced at Dark and sighed. "Fine, I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth Amen." She said raising her right hand. She chuckled a bit after her hand was down.

She made him smile faintly with that, and he lightly stepped over Dark to come over to Minty to be at her level. Wings tucking in, adjusting and spreading, Jeresous sat down under the shade of tree with Minty. He rest his hands on his knees, and studied her for a moment with those ice blue eyes of his. He was thinking. "Amen. Are you frightened?"

She winced. Why does everyone go into MY mind? Why why why why!? She paused a bit. Yes I'm frightened, and a bit ticked off.

Jeresous didn't say anything, letting the silence draw on, uncomfortably for him when she didn't say anything. Slowly his slender fingers were tightening around a fold of his white clothing, and one of his wings twitched, his version of fidgeting while his body remained still, face impassive. He was trying to find the right words. Maybe she hadn't heard him? "Minty? It is perfectly alright to feel afraid. I can understand if you do not want to admit it, but it is not healthy to keep it bottled up inside. What you do with the fear is what you should focus on instead."

She looked at him. "I hate feeling afraid." She mumbled. "Bottling it up is all I can do, like with my happy mask." She bit her tongue before she spilled his guts to him. She glanced at Dark. Why is she even with him!?

When she revealed to him some of what she was feeling, Jeresous looked at her with a measure of concern reflecting in his winter eyes, and he laid a sympathetic hand on her back. He was thinking again, silent as he choose his words. But in the moment of silence, his strong paternalistic instincts were breaking down a few barriers built up around his icy heart, and carefully Jeresous scooted a little closer, shifting so he could give her a good back rub, hoping to release some of the tension he felt in her shoulders. "There are more who do that then you think. We all have to hide behind masks to get through another day, but what is happening to you is beyond what you are accustomed to. It is a lot to dump on one person, no matter the age and level of experience. Now ... what are you afraid of exactly?"

Minty tensed up when he had placed his hand on her shoulder. Slowly, while he was thinking, she started to relax. A slight purr escaped Minty's lip, when Jeresous started to give her a back rub. but she stopped herself feeling violated, yet safe at the same time, which was stressing her to a point.
She stared at Dark. What am I afraid of? She thought confused. Her father was one thing, but when she thought about him, she realized that she could have stopped him from beating her, so he wasn't a fear. The dark? too childish, she loved it anyways. She sighed thinking. I don't want to reveal to much, but everyone is afraid of something or someone. But wouldn't the only thing to fear is fear itself? As soon as she thought that she tensed up slightly. "Death." She said, she had another one, but that one was staying bottled.

Jeresous nodded wisely, knowing that death was something everyone could fear, even the unkillable immortals. And for good reason. Only those that were already dead, truly dead inside were those who never flinched at death. Now, he did sense her dislike of being touched, but also he knew she needed it. Jeresous didn't let himself be intimidated, continuing to slowly and softly massage her back. "Are you afraid for your death or the death of others? Some are scared that they will never be able to protect those that they love, while others fear what will happen to them once they are no more. Let me tell you, there is nothing to fear after death."

Minty growled in fear or either anger, it just came out. Why does he read me like a book!? These pages aren't even written and he can read them anyways! Ripped? Still readable! Her fingers slightly traced her bandages on her arm as she calmed down a bit. "I'm afraid of death, and death of others, such as Dark. And what comes after death. Like if I'll just die. I know the world'll still go, but what happens after I die? I mean, I don't know of course, but I think after we die its just black." She was spilling, and she detested it.

Jeresous laughed. It was a strange thing, his laughter, lacking true humor and emotion, but it was light and chiming like musical bells, but without being truly happy. Again he was smiling faintly, and his wings flicked outwards, throwing off silver specks that hovered in the air. She had woken him up some, and he offered his apologies, leaning over with his hand gesturing towards her. "I am sorry, but am I really that poor of a seraphim? I may not be a messenger of God, only his humble warrior, but I had thought my existence could bring some comfort about the mysteries of the afterlife."

Minty laughed a bit but stopped after hearing his laugh, she felt pity for him. She looked up at the tree leaves. "It scares me, but I wish of not knowing what happens afterwards. I mean death could also be an adventure couldn't it?" She asked.

"It is only the stroke of death that you should be wary of, not what comes afterwards. It is another adventure after that, aye. A great adventure." His smile didn't die quickly like it always had before, instead it persisted and gave his features more life. "Minty, sometimes a little faith is all you need to get through another day. Things will always get better, and if they get worse, well, you could die. But you should not let your thoughts be filled with notions of death or death is all you will see. All around you." Jeresous picked up a brown dry leaf, and showed this to her. Then his gaze rose upwards to the many, many green leaves of the trees in the canopy above them. "It is your choice what you see."

"It's not death I mainly think about ya know." She grumbled. She looked at the leaf and plucked it out of his fingers starting to laugh. "Death is creepy, but I don't see it like you Jeresous, to me death. Well." She laughed a bit more. "Death is the end and the rebirth of someone new. Right? Everytime someone dies another is born. So naturally, why worry about it? Plus the world will move on, it won't stop just to mourn for you. We are but a fraction if even that of the world. So not very many would miss us. Death is one thing to be afraid of, but there are things worse then death."
