Surprised by Kaleb's words, the blonde went relatively silent and poked at the other.

He almost wished he'd bothered taking up bad habits like Reno and his smoking so he had something to do while standing there. It was like babysitting and he knew that Kaleb didn't need him to do any of that.
So he idly listened to what they were saying and laid out the mission information that he knew so far.

Kaleb nodded sincerely, and blushed a bit when he smiled. "You're my friend, of course you're important to me." He glanced at Riley and fidgeted a bit more before calling over to his partner. "Y-you don't have to stay here if you don't want to..."

Grinning happily, Demyx latched onto his friend in a hug.
"I'm glad I'm important to someone...."
Blinking, the sitarist turned his gaze to the other. Crap, he knew how bad it felt to be left out, why had he allowed that to happen to Riley? Ears flat, Demyx stayed silent and hoped he hadn't pissed off the other Audio.

Kaleb let Demyx cling to him, but he started fidgeting when Riley mentioned their boss. He didn't want his friend to get all worried though, so he didn't say anything out loud about it. "M-maybe we could go walking or something?" He asked, not sure he wanted to go back into that office with Rufus, even if his boss wanted him back later.

Slowly, the sitarist released his friend and went about glancing between the mage and his partner.
"Sorry if I made you feel left out or something..."
Twitching his ears a bit, Demyx set about studying the other Audio.

He shrugged slightly at Demyx's comment. "Don'worry 'bout it." He shoved himself off the wall and looked down the street. "Walk could be good. Might find somethin ta do while were walkin"

Kaleb relaxed a bit once it was clear there really wasn't anything to get all anxious about. "Maybe we could get ice cream or something." He suggested with a smile, there was a small shop in the area he had been to before that was easily within walking distance.

Perking up much like an excited child would, the second in command was all but bouncing around the mage.
"Like..vanilla? With sprinkles maybe?"

"Cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles and carmel sauce." That sounded good. Or maybe a sunday, or a triple scoop, or something even more covered in toppings. Wait, it was starting to sound like a kid.

Kaleb grinned, it sounded as though Riley liked the suggestion too. He was delighted to have been able to please both his friends with one idea. "Th-there's a place not too far away, we can walk there." He started off in the right direction, glancing back over his shoulder to see if the other two were following.

Grinning from ear to ear, the sitarist bounded off after his friend. Ice cream sounded -really- good, and thankfully Riley seemed just as excited as he did about the idea.
"What are you gonna get Kaleb?"
Catching up to the mage, Demyx grinned excitedly and waited for an answer.

With the way Demyx was bouncing around he really was thinking that he'd been sent on babysitting duty. Taking the two kids out for ice cream was not suppose to be in his job description.

Kaleb grinned back, and didn't even have to pause before replying. "They have a flavour called Death by Chocolate, I'll probably get that." He stopped for a second to wait for Riley to catch up. People were supposed to be more enthusiastic about icecream, but he could probably forgive his partner since it would look silly for him to be excited in his Turk suit. At least Kaleb didn't have to worry about that, he hadn't bothered to change into his own uniform for just a little meeting.
