Something about this woman put him in a mood. Wether it good or bad he had no clue but answered were need. Stepping fully away from her now he found some chairs nearby and sat one down near her while he took the other. Spreading his robes about him serenely he then looked up at her awaiting for her to sit. "Please... what is ailing you? I did not mean to frieghten you but something must be amiss." The sound of giggles and laughter brought his attention to the end of their meal.
It was just the same, he wanted time alone with his own kind. Perhaps there were answers as to his purpose on this world. For as long as he's been living on it there had been no real tangible reason for continuing such a useless "life".

Relique began to shake her head, as if about to say that nothing was wrong, but she stopped just as soon as she began.
"This place..." Her response finally came. It was quiet, whispered, even, and lame, but it was an answer non-the-less.
She let the hand that had previously been on her forehead to drop heavily to her side as she looked down - and slightly to the side - at the ground, her other hand still holding the porcelain mask to her face. The sounds of the children on the other sides of the walls went unnoticed as the Sorrow just stared into space into some shadow on the floor. And her body stayed stalk still, even when she opened her mouth to speak again.
"It reminds me of things that I have long wished to forget. That is all."

"This place?" He wasn't sure what she was getting at but soon it sunk in and he looked around. Really taking a look around... it was the atmosphere the church and the people that became of such dwellings.
As she finished in her answer he realized what her problem had been. He felt like such a heel for inviting her to a place that made her obviously uncomfortable. Nodding he remained at his place near the other side keeping the distance between them. "If you did not like such a place why then did you accept my offer of lunch?" It wasn't for her to reply with the obvious answer of being hungry if that were the case but what other reason would she have come to the cathedral if she did not like such things.
He wanted to pry more but decided against it instead. "Very well you may leave if that is your wish. I will not force you to stay." That was all he could say at this point and opened the door to exit. She would have free reign to leave the church herself at this point no one would stop her but Ennui was still quite intrigued to know that others existed. He did not want to lose contact with Relique if he could help it but how was he to go about seeing her again if she did not approve of his living spaces?

She glanced up at him from across the room as she rolled that question around in her own head. She came up with several reasons for her acceptance of the invite, but none of them were really THE reason; none of them really worked completely. And so...she said nothing in reply. She only looked at him, and then looked to the door when it was opened.
Pushing herself off the wall, the Sorrow stood there for a second, as if about to stay... but in the end she found connection with her feet again and moved towards the door.
She stopped though, however, when she reached the door frame, and quite suddenly spoke, "after the sun, in the lowest part of town, just listen," and then just like that she walked off without anything else.
As she moved through the cafeteria, which was now only full of empty plates and tussled chairs, Relique wondered if he'd understood her words and how it was just a slightly confusing way to find her.
...One half wished he did...while the other half stood on the line of uncertainty and hoping he hadn't. Only time would tell with this one.

He didn't understand her straight out but figured it meant something or she wouldn't have uttered such nonesense. He didn't dwell on it for now simply allowing her to leave.
-- It was later that night when he found himself dwelling on her words. 'after the sun, in the lowest part of town, just listen...' With nothing else better to do he had found himself following her instructions but now he was in the middle of the old town square.
After the fires it had been bandoned along with the clocktower which used to chime upon the our. Now the church was often used for that throughout the day leaving the night peaceful or sleepers.
He sat at the fountain that had not been working for years, waiting to hear what it was he was suppose to listen to. For now he could hear the wind ruslting, crickets chirping and bats fluttering about in the bellfry of the clocktower. Other than that he heard nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that had made him think strangely of the Clockwork's words.

It came slowly, subtle even, and soft like the encroaching evening fog that slid along the streets and water tops; the melodic chords, pulls, and dragging of strings in some far off distance. The notes floated in the air, seeming to curl around each lamppost and statue, and then stirring up the ground mist when they got too close, as they moved down streets and allies towards the square and dry fountain. And when they got there, the melody and notes seemed to merely float around for a minute or so, as if searching.

Ennui remained silent as the music pulled and pushed against him. It was as if it had a mind of its own. Without his own doing he began to walk only following the sounds as easily as if he could see his destination. He remembered music like this from so long ago... could it be? Without much thought he continued to walk on letting his feet take him to where ever it may... he just hoped it wasn't his own demise that met him at the other end of such a haunting melody.

The notes pulled him down and around one street after the other, through allies and old side streets that still held their original cobblestone. Street lamps, and lights from houses, flickered each time he past them, but due only to his audible guide. However, after some time of zig-zagging through the city, the lights started to become fewer and less frequent as the housing and general "appeal" or the landscape became less...wanted.
The music still guided on, and when it reached the inner crust of the economically "lowest" part of town, it finally went up a bit in volume.
It was then that the notes started to not pull, and tug, as hard as they once had as they led the other Sorrow out of a small ally and into a much wider street where two other streets helped make some sort of "square"-like deal. And in that square was a small sad excuse for a park, with yellowing grass and a few trees, as well as a single bench that sat at the edge of the grass and sidewalk... And it was there that the music-maker sat, blindfolded, with one white gloved hand working the bow while the other, un-gloved, hand worked the silver strings that glinted in the moonlight of the white wooden violin.

Ennui had allowed the music to carry and pull him through the streets. His ears rejoicing in the melodic tune that had so seductively captured his attention. He had always had a weakness for beauty in the form of sound, tinkling bells, soft strings and music that practically raped your very soul.
As the music seemed to shift so did its pull on him as he slowed his pace. He stopped dead in his tracks hidden by the shadows as the light always seemed to push him away. Even in the sun he would often look for a tree with thick foliage to remain forever in the shadow.
As now there were only two lights he could "feel" shinning down on him but it wasn't those dim drab lights that had his attention it was the creature of which his eyes could not see but his soul could. He hesitated only a moment before shifting his feet one before the other and walking nearer. When he was satisfied with his distance he stopped and remained deathly still not a whisper not even a sound from his robes could be heard for as a shadow should be nothing more than...silent.
He would only speak when the music came to an end and for all that he could admit he hoped to stay in such a transfor eternity. However, when the music did reach its tempo and then slowly cascade to a closing he allowed his hands to come together in a soft applause his eyes no longer shielded by the usual cloth but bare and open to the world. They were grey in color obviously void of life but even so a spark was still visible in them... eerie yet calming all at once.
"Your strings speak so alluringly... I do hope I have not intruded." He spoke softly still in his usual unrushed and polite tone.

The musician looked up at him as she lowered her bow and instrument. "One cannot intrude if they have been expected," Relique replied, her tone similar to his save for the silver ringing. She didn't turn to look in his direction, but continued to look ahead for now she was the one who was blindfolded.
"My last words must've been misleading, for you sought a location a bit further then what I had intended. My apologies."

"Ah I must have read too much in your words but apologizes are not needed. As I am here currently."
He walked slowly toward the light but only marginally as he seemed to skirt around the dim areas not coming fully into view. But being that it was night gave him the option of sight something that was unattainable during the day.
Ennui was a night creature by heart but fought against those binds despite himself. While he loved destruction and chaos he also enjoyed quiet moments among natural surroundings or tending to the orphaned children. He never could understand himself from day one and many a days throughout the centuries...
"...I" Words eluded him as they stood silently in the night. "...May I ask why you have lured me to this place?"

She turned her head in his general direction when she heard his question. She wanted to reply with a question of her own, just to silence her curiosity and perhaps play around a little, but she decided against it in the long run and simply gave him an actual answer. "I simply gave you direction on where you could find me if you ever needed, or wanted, to. You ended up some ways off, so I had to... 'lure' you to the correct place, no?"
She blinked behind the gold and violet blindfold and turned her head to look over her shoulder. "I live in the house exactly across the street from this bench," she said, and tilted her head to the left to indicate the beaten up and dumpy looking home across from them, with its peeling paint and broken windows, and walls covered in dirt and general old age.
"Top floor. ...It's not as ugly as it looks."

Ennui turned to look at the house and had to admit it didn't suit such a person. Even so she had explained that it was better than what he could see currently.
The one thing he hated about sight was the unfamiliar feelings that came with it. The preconseived notions and assumptions that could often lead a man astray. "I will take your word for it then." He finally said deciding it the best route to go.
"Very well would you like to lead the way this time...as we can guess I am directionally impared." A margin of a smirk etched his lips with the sound of what would be a chuckle though for some reason it sounded for the most part 'sinister' rather than mirthful.

Relique stood and let a small smirk flick across her lips for a second for the tone his chuckle had taken up unnerved her a little. Re grasping her bow and violin, she made her way around the bench. "This way," she quipped smoothly and then started off across the street, her direction almost perfectly accurate for someone who currently lacked the ability to see.
She didn't bother too much to make sure that he was behind and following as she moved up the creaky front steps and across the warped little porch, which like the rest of the house, was wood and had once been painted white, though now its color resembled a dirty cream with brown and sick yellow sun spots along with patches of moldy timber.
Pausing at the door, which was already half open since it hung from a mere single hinge, she finally made sure he was near. "Watch your step; there are holes and weak spots all over the first two levels." With her words of caution, she pushed the door open the rest of the way and stepped in where her senses were immediately reduced from the dank and unmoving musty air. Even in all the days she walked through there, she had never been able to get used to the smell and "feeling".

He followed in silence careful not to step where she had warned as he was led to his next destination. As he walked he allowed his night vision to take hold as he accessed his surroundings.
It looked as bad as it smelled and it almost made him wonder why such a wondrous flower such as Relique would choose to live here? Then he had learned the most beautiful of flowers often found the darkest, drab and unsightly places to florish. If only the Lotus were one example, the rose being another and many other rare flowers in the world.
He studied Relique from behind her form seemed perfect in all aspects but he could sense something slightly imperfect about her. A sinister smile creeped along his face as he held back on sudden urges. He loved beautiful things but he loved those things with some hidden flaw. What could be her flaw? The blind fold over her eyes had definately intrigued him but he would not ask, perhaps she would tell him and maybe he would force the answer from her if it came to that.
Shaking his head he brought himself back to reality calming his excited breathing for he did not wish to frieghten the other... "How far is our destination?" he asked partically in annoyance.
