Aki let his bright blue eyes travel from the girl to he man, carefully taking into consideration. He hadn't heard a word of what was spoken between them--the three of them were still a ways away--but he could sense that she was unhappy and it was his fault.
Aki forced a smile on his face as he roughly pushed Vincent out of his way--and right into Ayumi--before he stepped closer to the unhappy girl and extended a hand.
"Were you the one that sent those letters?" he asked. "I'm Aki, it's nice to meet you, miss--uh...?"

Raen looked up. Completely taken by surprise of him not being furious. Raen took the hand unexpextedly."Um...I'm Raen. Don't call me miss. I'm not worth it." Raen left Lorcán with a glare. She was going to disobey him completely. "I didn't. He did." Raen said nodding to Lorcán. "Supposedly...I was supposed to kill you guys." Raen's face was full of regret. Raen was so confused. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Aki. I haven't met anyone close to my age in years...I must warn you though. Before you ever even say anything else, whether it is to kill me or anything. Promise me never to trust him. Lorcán. Even though he is almost like my brother he...he..." Raen stopped. She couldn't say much more without bursting into tears.

Aki was taken aback. "I'm...sorry?" he asked, once again allowing his cerulean gaze to dart back and forth between the two people he'd never seen before.
Tilting his head to the side, he asked, "Um... You're supposed to kill us? Might I ask how you would do that? It's a....a bit of an unfair fight, three against one..."

Vincent was kinda shocked when Ayumi was suddenly against his chest and then watched the events unfold careful to not let either himself or Ayumi be noticed. "Man...I wish I knew what the hell was going on....Ayumi you wait here, alright....I'm going to give Aki some back up, just in case" "Man....I can't believe I didn't realize how far she was..."Vincent thought as he ran towards Aki "Hey you should know better than to leave me alone...."He flashed his smile to those present, trying to ignore a feeling of uncomfortable tension in the air

Raen was surprised. "Oh yes. I wonder if Lorcán intends to kill me at times. But...I am perfectly aware of your abilities. I'm not...a horrible fighter. Besides the point, I won't try, even. I can't, as a matter o' fact. The first time I saw you guys, I decided I couldn't. But..." Raen was mad at herself, but decided to explain slightly. "Even though I am completely envious of your ease of being able to forgive and be happy. I...haven't the ability." Raen sighed.
Lorcán laughed. "Don't betray me." He said it so coolly, that it was terrifying. He strode swiftly. Every inch of him seemed cruel. "I'm disappointed. Not that you haven't done that to me before." Lorcán swiftly slapped or punched her face, sending her into the snow, sprawling. Obviously the words had hurt her, too. Raen scooted back, against a tree, not bothering to look up, afraid of what she might see. Raen was terribly frightened of Lorcán, she coulf hide it no longer.

Shock was written on Vincent's face, as he ran to where the girl had crawled back to "Dude, what the hell's wrong with you!?" The winds started to stir up as the anger in Vincent grew. He made his eyes kind as he looked Raen in the face "You alright? Good. I'll take care of this jerk, then we can have some nice hot dinner together!" He smiled before turning to look at the b*****d who just hit her. His ice blue eyes showing only hatred as he readied his spear "I'm gonna make you hurt so bad!!" He shouted, winds blowing snow in every direction "Don't you ever lay a finger on her again!" Vincent said quietly, his voice being amplified by the winds and his anger

Raen got up by herself, wiping blood from her mouth. She glared so very viciously at Lorcán, one couldn't have guessed that she considered him almost a brother. "Stop." Raen walked towards Lorcán, her anger taking hold of her. "Don't fight him. Not only will he kill you...but if anyone would kill him, it was be me. Don't take that personally..." Raen may have seemed calm, but that's what she was like when she was mad. Raen stopped talking. "Just...just leave me alone." Raen was trembling with anger, fear and sadness. Her voice had quivered. Raen then replied to them, "Don't hink I can come back to your town with you. They already denied me once." Raen started walking away. If one was paying attention, they would've noticed Lorcán had already left. Lorcán would try to get Raen back on his side, but right now Raen couldn't side with anyone. Even though an awkward bond, Raen had bonded with Lorcán. Yet, he...he changed. He became obsessed with the elementals...he soon got obsessed with killing them. He became cruel and ruthless. Was he so different from Raen? Raen wondered that.

Vincent lowered his spear and tried to calm the winds, succeeding after a few minutes of trying "No one will turn you away...but I understand if you don't want to..just try to stay away from that guy, alright?" He said, as he looked around, wondering where the hell Lorcán ended up after he lost it, and let the wind go wild "Well, go ahead and come by sometime, I'll put in a good word for you, alright" He said, as he sat down against the trunk of the White Oak

Raen turned, tears in her eyes. "Leave him? I don't think I can. He...he draws people like us in. It's hard to explain...I suggest you never trust him, as I once did." Raen sighed, "I'm not sure if I have enough bravery to go back to that village." How ironic, she'd had a surge of bravery enough to face against Lorcán, which should be five hundred times harder then going to a village. Raen's eyes expressed her feelings, brimming with tears. "I'm not sure if I can...forgive that town. I'm even not very sure if I can forgive you guys...not for who you are...but what you are. I'm sorry...I can only stop hating you guys for now..." Raen chuckled slightly, "I never thought I'd hear the day I would say that." Raen ceased her laughing, now completely serious. "I doubt you want it but you have my apology...I cannot forget that past...not just yet. I need proof...I'm missing something." Raen couldn't feel what she was missing, except for that the fact that she was missing something. She hadn't been loved before. Not by a friend, a sibling or a parent. Raen was confused, she put a hand in her face. She thought to herself, I'm a fool, trusting these people I envy and used to hate so much. I must...at least try to forgive them.

Vincent smirked as he stood up, leaving his spear in the ground "C'mon tough girl like you...I bet you could do anything, you just need a hug first!" He exclaimed, as he attached himself to her giving her a nice tight hug "I bet the only thing you were missing was a guy like me in your life" He said with a slight chuckle, still hugging her

Raen seemed surprised, blushing. "Is this...a hug?" Raen looked a little uncomfortable, but replied, "I can't do everything...trust me." Raen frowned. She suddenly unleashed herself from the embrace, "No! Don't get attached to me...if you do...Lorcán will kill you." Lorcán, at this time would do anything to make her unhappy. Raen looked regretful in her eyes, "Don't let me get attached to you..." Raen frowned, why was Lorcán such a jerk?

Vincent looked hurt "You know I can take care of myself in a fight....I'm not that easy to kill....and I can let you get attached to me if I want...to hell with that b*****d!" He shouted the last bit and grinned "C'mon, just try to have a good time with us, I don't know what happened, but I promise I wont leave you alone unless you want me too...well ever...as long as you can feel a breeze, I'm with you" He smiled at her

Raen smiled sympathetically. "If you do that, I'll be on your side in that battle." Raen smiled, "I'm not sure if I'll feel comfortable in the town...but I guess I'll come along." Raen sighed, "I can't say that I won't be envious of you guys...considering..."Raen gulped, "Considering you have families..." Raen looked away in sadness and shame.

Vincent smiled as he took her hand, after picking up his spear "I'm sure we can find someone willing to be your family, and 'sides, you have me, Aki, and Ayumi, if nothing else, they can be your family, I kinda have a tough time letting people in....so those two are my only real family too...feel bad for the people who took me in because of that, but oh well!" He started walking "We'll go on ahead, K?"He called back "Oh, and I think you and Ayumi would make a cute couple, Aki!!" He said as himself and Raen left the clearing

Raen blushed. "You'd do that? I mean...I'm not sure if it's not too late." Raen sighed, "I'm sorry for being glum all the time...I've never really been...happy." Raen frowned. "I'm not sure if I really know what the world is...you don't know what Lorcán told me...about you guys and he world." Luckily, too. Most would probably get furious at what Lorcán said about them. Raen didn't intend to tell many people.
