Honestly Tim Burton got me hooked on Depp, because 15 years ago...I bet most of you, like me didn't know that Edward Scissorhands was Johnny Depp I clued in right after I saw it the second time but I loved the movie for the movie. *mew*

I saw Johnny Depp playing in Nightmare On Elmstreet and then in Edward Scissor hands..o.o I was hooked after that. I love all the eccentric characters he plays ^.^

It was Sleepy Hollow, even though I'd seen a couple of his movies before.
Although my friend didn't believe me when I said I wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean because it looked good, rather than his belief because it had Depp and Bloom in it. I didn't even recognize them in the trailers until the end when the starring cast was checked off. I had made up my mind to see it before that point, however. xd

from the poll results, it looks like too many are newbie fans. god, people! i'm sure just about everyone here is old enough to remember edward scissorhands from when it first came out. if not, it's been played over and over on tv ever since. and how could you not be hooked from the get go after seeing it? i knew there was something special about this odd, quirky, hunky man ever since i watched that movie. and i've been hooked on him ever since. i like how he plays the offbeat, anti-leading man roles. cuz once you get started with that, it's too hard to get out of the cycle. one director will have you play a certain type of character, and then before you know it, that's all you ever play.

i technically got hooked on Johnny in Ed Wood, but i wasnt sure who he was when i first saw it. then i saw Edward Scissorhands and i loved it. i like how he plays the 'non-hollywood'characters, its awesome.

is it a sin to say that your guild captain, althrough she still loves Johnny Depp, has fallen in love with the phantom of the opera Star Gerard Butler? i still love Johnny and i am hook on him still but... what is happening to me i am all about the phantom of the opera!

i first really remember him in edward scissorhands then in sleepy hollow and i really got sucked in when i saw pirates of the caribbean but now its all johnny *sigh* heart

DarkenSoul cute outfit xp biggrin Well I am just saying that I got hooked when I saw Edward ScissorHands.(wrong spelling) I mean he was a great actor in it and it was so him! I mean he is shy and sweet but at the same time HOT AND SEXY! sorry but I love him in that movie and I cried at the ending of it and so did my mom! We have SO much in common and I tell my family I love him and my little sister is like eww and my mom says I have great taste in men 3nodding Well yea, I got hooked when Johnny Depp was in Edward Scissorhands!!

I first got hooked on Johnny Depp when I was like 4 I saw him in Edward Scissorhands... I told my mom I thought he was hot (remember i was four lol) Ever since then I have been a devoted fan of Johnny. 4laugh

I would say POTC because he played Jack Sparrow so well. He was so funny. I had seen Edward Sissorhands as a kid but it gave me the creeps so I haven't watched it for ages. I really think I should whee

I first saw Johnny in Chocolat, but it was Pirates that made me take a second look. Benny and Joon, though, was the one that really opened my eyes. I get hooked all over again with every movie. whee
