Her head moved easily, guided by his paw. Green eyes gazed into gold pools and her heart skipped a beat. But how much was her heart and how much was the desire of her awakened body? How could she be certain? Endless' confession had awoken Liliana to her own feelings -making them something she could no longer turn a blind eye to their existence and effect on her. Then there was the males' kisses combined with a growing understanding of her body through Zell's training alerting her to it as well. A lesson only heightened by her father's rather poignant questions. She had so much more to go off of now and felt no closer to a decision. Yet every time she was with one of them alone she both hoped and feared one or the other would push her beyond the point of any logic and...
That's your body, Liliana. Guilt would surely follow too heavily from a decision based that way. She forced herself to breathe, to not lose herself in Ed's eyes.
"Maybe..." she repeated softly, forgetting why the word was originally there in that frozen moment.

The will to refrain was getting weaker and weaker by the moment. He wanted to say, 'to hell with it' and do as he wanted... but that was a selfish notion, wan't it? He couldn't deny that he loved Lilianna... but someone else did as well. Someone who'd had more guts than he and confessed his love for her before he'd even had the thought to. Was it really right of him to pursue a meaningful relationship with her? Was he making the right choices? Did he really have Lilianna's best interests in mind or was he going off of his own desires and impuslsiveness alone? Did she deserve someone like him?
The single spoken word from Lilianna pushed all doubt away, bringing his mind back to the present situation as time just seemed to stand still. The only question left in his mind and the only one he could answer... 'What do you want, Edward?'
Going against all logic and reasoning, he went with his feelings and he kissed her. She was -right there- after all and how could she make a decision if he just shyed away? His kiss was not unlike the first one, but Ed's eyes flew open wide as he realized what he was doing and quickly pulled away. "Sorry! ... sorry." The teen shaking his head and looking away, cheeks burning with embarassment.

A small gasp of secret pleasure. Green eyes closed. Heart pounding fiercely within her small body more than after the most grueling workout Zell had ever put her through. She did not stop, she did not think -only matched the kiss as feelings flooded over her. For a single blessed moment she did not care if her feelings came more from her heart or from her body. Liliana felt wonderful. Alive. Not thinking and completely loving the freedom found there.
Then it was over. Gone. Thoughts & reason poured back in and her petite crimson body gave a shudder. Green eyes fluttered open halfway, studying Edward's profile with a soft sadness. She leaned her cheek into the automail paw that had turned her head, finding some odd solace in the cool feel of the familiar metal. Her eyes closed a fraction, a lone tear slipping from them to glide along Edward's automail.
"It's okay..." She whispered, her soft voice catching slightly as she shivered with emotion beside him. "It's okay..."

Its okay.... but was it really? Slowly, Edward turned to look back at her again. It wasn't until then that he saw the wetness on his paw, since he has no sensation of feeling in it. Which of course meant... that she had been crying, atleast a little. He never liked seeing her cry. Quietly, he stroked her cheek with his automail, before wrapping both paws around her in a tight embrace. Just like Endless... he wanted to 'keep' her. However, that wasn't his decision anymore... it was entirely Lilianna's. All he could do was wait patiently, as hard as it was. The only think he could think to do was comfort her. He knew this wasn't easy for Lili, and he was partially responcibe.

Sighing softly Liliana closed her eyes as her cheek was stroked. So simple. So nice. She wanted to keep him... to keep them both.
She was afraid to lose either of them. Terrified. And she feared no matter what choice she made ... she would lose one. Moments like this... with one or the other would probably not happen.
Liliana did not want that. But what did she want? Both? That could never be. She snuggled gratefully into the comfort offered by Edward's arms. A moment. Such sweet moments.
But if life were only moments... how would you ever know you had one?
The songs her human always sang seemed to be more ingrained in her than Liliana would have thought. She sighed and snuggled closer, cheek moving lightly against him in soft back & forth strokes. "Edward... what would you do in my position? If two of us loved you & you didn't want to lose either... Say if you loved Atae or Winry..." Those were the only two females Lily could think of to mention, those that she knew to be Ed's friends. Her mind barely registering that the question she had been fighting had been voiced. Voiced in the softest whisper, one that could barely be heard but voiced none-the-less. "What would you do?"

The warmth and comfort of the embrace was soothing and Edward's eyes half lidded as he allowed himself to relax. However, the question was one he didn't want to think about, let alone answer. His body tensed suddenly when she asked what he would do. A look of pain flashed across his face, although unseen to Lilianna due to their current position. Winry... She wasn't here, but he hated the idea that he would just forget about her. She, like Lilianna, had been a childhood friend that he felt something for. But this was a different life, and she wasn't here.. atleast not yet. Edward had decided to live for the moment, instead of the past. But the mention of her name stirred up some old thoughts.
"I don't know" he said softly, closing his eyes at the feel of her cheek moving through his fur. "I guess... I would look at the facts, follow my instincts and my heart... Heh... I make it sound so easy."

A small wince as his answer called to her attention that she had spoken aloud rather than thought.
Liliana sighed, not really surprised by his answer. She suspected that asking Endless would have the same response. Same or similar. A soft sad smile curled her maw and she pressed her nose lightly to the underside of his chin near his neck. "I wish it were so easy... the facts, my instincts, my heart... it's not easy, Edward. Not like this."
By this she meant how they lay currently.

"I know..." he said back, soon withdrawing from their embrace to sit up on his haunches and look down at her. However, his eyes didn't meet hers... he stared at her paws. "Its part of the reason I didn't want to tell you... how I felt. Because I knew... I knew this would be the outcome. I didn't want to put you through that... and I'm sorry." If it had just been Endless that made his confession, then she wouldn't have to worry about trying to decide between the both of them.

Her eyes fluttered open as she felt him pull away, a faint pout taking over where her smile had been. Lily quietly studied his young face, noting how he did not look at her and crying a little inside. He had said something like this when he had first kissed her. Her thoughts on that had not changed. "And let me hurt you with my ignorance, as I must have done from the day Endless told me? Let me make a decision with only half the facts? No."
She shook her head, the long red hair surrounding her face swaying back and forth as Lily rolled onto her back with her wings tucked beneath her to look up at her dear & first friend. Her lithe petite body was angled in front of him, gold tipped paws bent over her chest, the alchemy symbol Ed had made her falling into the crook of her left foreleg. Lifting her paws she rested them on the teen's shoulders, lightly pulling him back towards her. "I'm glad you told me." She whispered with force, green eyes darting anxiously across his face, praying that he would understand. "Knowledge can hurt... but better that than the price of ignorance, Edward. Surely you can understand that."

He felt oddly cold, as he sat there, not daring to look her in the eye. However, her words were encouraging and he finally looked at her when she rolled onto her back. Her... position causing him to blush profusely, and even more so when she pulled him close again. However, you didn't see him protesting either. Could he understand? "Yeah..."
A smile finally reappeared on the teen's face, his flesh paw reaching up to brush her cheek again. Hm. He sighed, there was so much he could say... but actually forming the words was difficult. However, she said she was glad that he had told her... and truthfully... Edward wanted to be honest with Lilianna. "I had to tell you... I was afraid I'd lose you if I didn't." He hadn't been so afraid of losing something since... before. It took quite a bit of effort for him to admit that.

She tapped playfully at his blush darkened his light face fur. "I don't want to lose you either, Edward. You're my best friend and... more?"
Her heart pounded. She was not making a decision, but she was making a move. Instincts were not to be trusted but this once she listened to them, leaning up to press her muzzle to Ed's and kissing him soundly. Her heart was in it, and more.

And more? He wanted it to be more, certainly. They had always been close, but all this was bringing a new meaning to it. Right now, he felt a closeness to her that he'd never felt before.. not with anyone.
What he didn't expect was for her to kiss him. However, he didn't hesitate to kiss her back. His pulse racing wildly as his own heart was in it. Kissing her with a fervent passion and even need. Expressive golden eyes were closed, and his paws rested lightly on Lili's chest. The digits gripping at her fur, just a little bit as he was lost in the moment. Edward Elric was in love, and he was not ashamed of that fact. If he wanted something, he would chase it to the ends of the earth and back. This was no different.

The force of his response sent her reeling and left Liliana gasping for breath and what remained of her senses, those not overloading from their kiss. She ended the kiss, exhaling her breath shakily & ducked her head into Ed's neck. Lily held him like that for some time, shivering softly & shaking.
"I... think I should stay here a while before going home." She managed to utter in hushed tones.

When she broke the kiss, Edward had to inhale deeply, as he regained his breath. Just slightly surprised as he felt Lilianna quaking, but her words brought a silly grin to his face. His chin resting on the top of her head. "Stay as long as you like." His voice carrying a light laugh with the words, but it was a joyful laugh. He certainly wouldn't make her leave.
Despite the impending decision and what it might bring, he hardly thought about it. This moment was what mattered, and at this moment... he was content and happy. Happier than he's been in quite some time. Hell... even a short joke couldn't spoil his mood right now.

She smiled brilliantly at his laugh, loving the sound of it. Breathing his scent in Lily let her eyes flutter closed. "Might be a while..." she murmured, stifling a yarn into his neck. "I've not been sleeping well." Liliana offered in apology, a hint of guilt in her sleepy voice.
