"Yes." Smiling happily at the lick and that Endless was no longer panicking Lily nuzzled him once. She let him lead her back and together they worked on the sandcastle, sometimes laughing, sometimes silent -just enjoying each others company. As the day waned they used the camera Endless had brought to take pictures of their creation, and Liliana even used a spell to get one with both of them beside it once Endless explained to her how the camera worked.
Now the crimson furred female lay on the blanket he had brought, green eyes lazily on his bag. "So what kind of sandwiches did you bring us, Endless?"

"Well we only had turkey and bologna..." he said, fishing them out to set in front of her. "And I brought tomatos and things... I don't put those on if I'm not eating for a while, it makes the bread soggy." He fished that out as well, and the water and tea bags, and settled on the blanket next to her.
His gaze drifted dreamily over the water, watching the sparks of light on the shifting surface dropped by the lowering sun. Had they been out here that long, really? "It's almost sunset..."

Her eyes sparkled. "As long as you have tomatoes..." She teased, pretending to be disappointed in a playful manner.
Then Lily followed his gaze. "Yes." Was her simple reply, pausing a moment before putting tomatoes on her sandwich thoughtfully.

A few clouds had developed on the horizon, but if there was to be a storm it was a long way off. They were "happy clouds", puffy and white, slowly turning to gold and other colors. As was the water.
Endless put his sandwich together and dropped tea bags in his bottle with only the barest of glances from time to time to make sure he was actually putting things where they needed to go, trying to catch as much of the sunset as he could. "I haven't been out on a beach to see the sunset in a long time... It's nice." He nuzzled her shoulder gently before starting on his sandwich, adding, "Especially with someone to share it with."
He wasn't really thinking about it when he said it, or afterward either. It was just what he felt and he was relaxed enough right now that things just came out naturally. Little things, at least.

Liliana could only mer her agreement, watching the sky's display with an expression both of joy & of pain. She was filling her time up with moments, knowing that she could never come back to them. For good or ill she would never experience such things the same again. And with one of them... well she hoped neither would estrange himself from her no matter her decision but she would never know, would she? Would one not let the other near her after? Or not feel comfortable with her anymore? She wished she did not have to choose but feared if she did not she would lose them both. That fear gripped her tighter than all other fears.
Liliana could not bear to lose them both.
No matter what she chose... things were not ever going to be the same. And it would not be what she wished. She could not have both. Daddy had made that very plain.
She nibbled at her sandwich, smiling at the taste of ripe tomato in her mouth and leaning into Endless' shoulder. Forgoing the tea bags she sipped from the water that he offered her, letting the clean liquid quench her thirst. "Yes. Very nice."

Endless ate his sandwich and sipped at his tea while watching the sun go down with Lily, a smile of pure and simple joy on his face. Eventually the sun dipped below the horizon and the stars blazed out in glory. He peered upward for a few moments before a yawn overtook him, and then he turned to rest his head on Lily's shoulder, making a small sleepy sound. She had Potions lessons and things in the morning so they couldn't really go to sleep out here, he knew, but... it was still nice for the moment.

She sighed and curled into his body as she finished her meal, feeling a little full but comfortably so. LIly liked the feel of his head upon her shoulder... and hated herself.
Sighing she nuzzled Endless lightly, really having enjoyed the natural show. She had spent more time out of doors since this whole thing started than she had her entire life up until now. For things like this, it was not a bad thing.
She licked at his nose playfully. "Don't fall asleep on me yet, Endless. Unless you can wake with the dawn so I don't miss training & lessons."

Endless mewled softly and picked his head back up, yawning widely enough to show off most of his teeth. "I know... I just got comfy. I guess we should head back? I don't want to get you in trouble with that Professor of yours." He didn't want to go... but he already knew it wouldn't be a good idea to stay. If she was late there was no telling what sort of punishment that guy would give her. He'd been pretty miffed about them spending the night before...

She giggled, perhaps a little shrilly and licked his nose again. "I won't be in trouble with Professor Snape. I did my homework before I came, just in case. We moved lessons back a bit, some time ago. But I train with Zell in the mornings now, just after sunrise. I ... don't like missing them." Her voice took on an odd tone, as if implying that the physical exertion of the morning training with the fistfighter had been a source of immense help in coping with the mess she found herself in. If nothing else, by days end she was as tired physically as mentally & emotionally. Even so, she slept fitfully.
"We don't have to go... as long as I leave no later than sunup."

His face lit up as he had a sudden thought and started digging around in his bag. Moments later he pulled out an old fashioned wind-up alarm clock. He set the time on it for around when the sun had been coming up lately and with a cheesy grin put his head back down on Lily's shoulder. "There... no being late." He yawned again and snuggled a little closer, already half-asleep. It probably didn't help his wakeful factor at the moment that he hadn't been sleeping much lately, however ambiguously he'd avoided actually stating the fact yesterday.

Brown wings fluttered at his quick shift, but seeing what he fetched Liliana quickly relaxed, a soft grateful smile upon her maw. She shut her eyes and lay her head upon her gold tipped paws as the felt the comfortable weight of Endless' head once more upon her shoulder. "Sleep well, Endless..." Lily murmured softly as she settled her wings over them.
