Ame knew that Sigal would have normally rushed up to her, but that she hadn't due to her ankle, so Ame rushed her mate and playfully nuzzled her. Once Sigal and her aunt began talking, the blue and black vixen sat back and watched Rina work her magic. She listened with great interest as Rina explained it wasn't a serious wound and spoke of plants to help. Rina was so cool. She had fixed Sigal's ankle just like that. Ame figured awesomeness must run in their family.

Sigal happily nuzzled Ame back as soon as her mate got to her.
"I missed you tons," Sigal told Ame, quite seriously.
Rina looked curiously from one vixen to the other. Surely Ame had not been away for more than an hour?
Perhaps it was young love, Rina reasoned. Infatuation could make modifoxes behave peculiarly indeed.
"These are the plants you will need for treatment," Rina told the two vixens, pointing a few different types. "You may wrap them in any leaf you find which is large enough, provided you are careful to check it is not harmful, such as poison ivy or poison oak."

Ame smiled at her mate and entwined her tail with Sigal's. When Rina pointed at the different plants, Ame stared them down, trying as hard as she could to memorize everything about them. At mentioning poison ivy and oak, Ame turned to her mate and gave her a questioning glance as if to ask her if she knew what Rina was talking about. Being on her own for so long, Ame knew what plants made you itch and sick and which plants didn't but she had never had anyone to teach her the names of them.

"I dunno what they are, either." Sigal was just as confused as Ame. Actually, probably more so--she'd spent most of her time in a tribe, with shamans who took care of you when you were sick, so she had never learned much about plants or anything like that.
"This," said Rina, pointing to a plant with three leaves grouped closely together, "is poison ivy. It will cause you to itch should you touch it. And this," another plant, again with three leaves grouped together, but the shape of the leaves was different, more irregular, "is poison oak, which will cause the same."
Sigal stared at the two plants really closely, so she'd know not to touch them ever. It was so cool how much Aunt Rina knew!

"OH!" Ame exclaimed as Rina pointed at the plants. She had a run in with poison ivy once when she was younger. That was a very unhappy week of her life. Every time she saw that plant, she gave it a quick evil glare and cursed it mentally. Ame observed the poison oak rather closely so that she could make sure Sigal nor herself would ever come in contact with it.
