Technique Name: Great Pirate Party
Description: A quick slash to the left, then to the right, followed by an uppercut, then one more slash back down.
Requirements: You must have a sword and know Pirate Cut.

"ah ok got it. I'm going to teach you, "Great pirate party."
Shanks said rubbing his chin wondering if it was worth teaching since it was so simple. He shrugged then walked over to a tree and got low standing in horse stance with legs a bit wider than shoulders length and bent 90 degrees he then turned to one side completely and slashed horizontally to the left, then slashed horizontally to the left, then he popped up a bit with an upper cut of the blade swiftly coming back down with the blade after striking up. Ariana thought the move was a bit flashy despite the lack of enthusiasm. She could tell Shank didnt find this technqiue interesting or a challenge but she knew she would. She observed so much she felt she could get it close enough though.

Shank turned back after he finished the combo looking to Ariana then waved for her to come over
"come over here and give it a shot."
Ariana walked over to Shank by the tree and slid her blade out of her holster. It seemed she had developed as a swordsman since this time when she unsheathed her blade no sound was made. She did it without trying and seemed itd be first nature now. Ariana barely remembered the combination but knew enough basics to figure that the stance was a must. She spread her legs little more than shoulders width then squat bending her knees about 90 degrees so it was like she was sitting on an imaginary chair. She then held the Katana in her right hand only then slashed horizontally to her left then to her right then did the upper cut coming up a bit. She almost forgot to bring it down but played it off by cutting down seconds later then spinning her sword exchanging hands between spins then turned her body around in a circle and sheathing it after the first spin of her body.

She smiled pitifully knowing she messed up forgetting to come down. Shank ignored it though more concerned about her hands. She failed to grip the sword properly and didn't understand why swords are held the way they are for different situations. To the untrained eye it seemed she knew what she was doing but she was just being a parakeet. He jammed his sword into the ground and readjusted Ariana's hands to begin with placing both her hands on the hilt and spaced them correctly.
"Okay when you swing you must loosen your hands as you swing to fix your hands position for when your blade makes contact with the object? person?"
Shank explained as Ariana watched him play with his hand position to demonstrate

Ariana repeated the hand motions going over it in stand still position. Then she swung a practice swing practicing her hand position at half speed. She knew exactly what he meant by adjusting now and threw a few powerful strikes. Shanks observed keep a close eye on her hand position as she changed.
"Your loosening your hands too much and thats going to cause you to lose your sword"
Ariana dropped her arms and sighed looking over to Shank giving him a dull stare in order to give off the impression that she knew what she was doing.

Shank just shrugged and sheathed his blade and sat aside since it looked like Ariana was ready to try the combination again hopefully this time holding the blade right and not forgetting steps. Ariana noticed him stepping aside to observe so she swung with half strength as a practice swing. Shank sighed obnoxiously wanting her to get it over with already. Ariana turned her head to him slowly giving him a feisty stare almost threatening and rolling her eyes facing the tree again. She held the katana firmly in both hands then lowered her position by squatting 90 degrees then proceeded with slashing left loosening her hands to adjust then gripping the blade. Her hands slipped a bit from the sword and she was so anxious she cut again right horizontally causing the katana to fall out of her hands.

Shank just turned his head away laughing so she couldnt hear or see. Ariana blushed from embarrassment looking to see if he had saw though she knew damn well he saw. She picked up the katan and sighed.
"Okay you were right just show me how"
Shank stopped laughing walked over and stood behind Ariana.
"Okay get in position"
He said putting his arms on both sides of Ariana. Ariana then bent her knees 90 degrees and held the sword out. Shank placed his hands on hers and looked over her shoulder.
"Okay do what you'd normally do but in slow motion"
Ariana swung slowly adjusting her hands but felt Shank's hands tighten on hers.
"hmm?"
Ariana sounded showing a bit of confusion.
"Thats all you need right there. Stay how you are but let go of the sword"
Ariana released the sword and rested her back against him since staying in that stance was tough. He showed her as if the hands holding it were hers so she'd get a better view. Ariana placed her hands on the hilt and Shank let go letting her practice. After a few soft strikes to the tree she decided to give a real go. She cut right horizontally readjusting then left horizontally, then did an upper cut with the blade and not falling to remember to cut back down. The tree had huge chunks missing from it leaving shavings and wood blocks on the ground

"Kid I have to go. I'll catch you later and dont forget our deal"
Shank said turning away and walking off. Ariana nodded then walked off herself speaking under her breath
"As if perve..."
She walked home heading inside and up the stairs she showered then got into a fresh set of clothes then fell into her bed resting
