Remus turned a very pronounced shade of pink. "Sorry. I didn't mean..." He stared at his shoes. "I didn't mean anything," he clarified. There was a very awkward silence between the two. "Maybe there's some way of...getting rid of the side effects?" he suggested, after a while.

Leah shrugged. "It startled me more than hurt me. Wharrabout you, sis?" She asked, noting the twinge in Gwin's smile.
James had, by this time, picked himself up and was standing awkardly. He walked over and very grudgingly offered a hand to Severus, who had gotten the worst of the whirlwind and stumbled. [?] "Errr.... Nice job." He grunted.
Leah giggled slightly, her adrenaline finally starting to fall down from their heightened levels. [If that makes ANY sense at all....]

Kailyn crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. "Who said you were adorable in the first place?" She said, still clearly ticked off at the Gryffindor. "Okay, just because you seem to be oblivious to hints, and have absolutely no discretion when it comes to girls, I'll spell it out for you, Sirius: I will not tolerate any flirting in any way, shape, or form!"
She paused, then sighed again. "I don't even want to be here in the first place...." Kailyn exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air, exasperated. "Why can't guys get that?" And she didn't want a repeat of last year - No wonder that kid had been failing DADA, he was practically helpless for a fifth year....

Sirius shrugged. "When life gives you lemons," he began, but then paused, a bewildered look on his face. "You called me Sirius," he said, slowly. "I don't think you've ever done that before." He blinked. "Kailyn, I've been trying to figure you out, and I've narrowed it down to three possibilities. One, you're playing hard to get. Two, you're trying to seem, you know, 'hardcore,' or three..." Here, even Sirius blushed. "Three," he repeated, "you're not into guys." He grimaced inwardly. "Now, which one is it?"

Gwin puckered her lips and half-shrugged. "None worse for wear. If you play with the Splint twins...." she smiled shyly. The scratches on Leah's hand didn't seem too serious, but Gwin insisted that someone fix them up, right away. Glancing around, Gwin almost choked as the two young men shook hands. "The world's going to end now." announced Gwin to noone in particular. She picked herself up and brushed off. Clapping her hands together once or twice, she asked. "Now that that's over.... Which way to head?" She felt Rhea pulling towards the middle lane, and sugested that route.

Sirius had blushed....Now that was interesting. "One - Not even a possibility!" Kailyn began, drawing it out so she would have more time to think. Was she into guys? Kailyn considered all her past experiences. "Two.....Well, what do you mean by 'Hardcore'?"

Severus awkwardly let James help him up, then quickly withdrew his hand. "Thanks." He said, in an equally enthusiastic tone. "Middle....Sounds great." He muttered in agreement.

Sirius shrugged. "Too cool for school and everyone in it," he said, looking away. "Like I'm just beneath you on the social ladder. Why? Is that it?" he asked, looking at Kailyn dubiously. He had certainly not expected that she would choose number two. Although that left the rather horrifying prospect of number three behind.

"Yeah," Nadia answered awkwardly. "I'm sure there's something that can be done.” She looked around uncomfortably for something to get her out of this uncomfortable situation. “Um,” Nadia started to back around the corner. “I’m going to go and make sure Sirius and Kailyn aren’t attempting to assassinate each other.” And with that said, Nadia scurried around the corner.

Kailyn huffed. "Oh, sure. That's it!" She said sarcasticly. "I just feel that I am over evryone else in this silly, silly, school. Suuuuurrrre, Black, that's gotta be it." An interesting definition of hardcore, to be sure. But of number three? Hmm....Maybe. Or maybe not? She couldn't pretend she didn't have the same 'crushes' and things that other girls had. No, wait - Actually, I do! Ha ha. Pretending wasn't going to get her anywhere, though. She was tired of shutting herself off from her emotions, and other people.

Sirius was about to say something, when Nadia came into view. "Yeah, I thought so, Kailyn," he answered tartly. He sighed. She had called him Black again. And just when they were making some progress, too. "I still don't see why you can't at least get to know me before deciding that I ought to be blown up."

She sighed. "It's not that I hate all guys, I just...." Kailyn trailed off, not knowing how to explain her jumbled thoughts. "And as for you," She finally said, giving him a dry smile. "I've seen your type before."

"Well, then, lucky you," answered Sirius, crossing his arms over his chest. "And you say you don't hate all guys. Lovely. So you've got your eye on some other guy? Is that why you're miffed at me?" he asked, frustration returning in a torrent.

"No, I don't have my eye on some other guy. Good Heavens, Black, I've only been here for two days!" Kailyn replied, her voice strained. "And what you mean by 'lucky me'?" She could tell that he was frustrated - Years of studying people had taught her much. And yet from what she knew of him (Which admittedly wasn't much), he could probably woo most girls in the castle without a slap to the face.... Why her, now? And why was she asking herself all these questions? Gawd, I haven't been so reflective in years.

Nadia turned around to the not so pleasant scene. Shockingly, it wasn’t as bad as she thought. And with a quiet sigh, Nadia entered another path to be alone. “I hope they get over that soon. We really need to find the others and get out of this maze.” She took out the watch. “And how are you supposed to help me in all this?!” Nadia yelled at the watch as she threw one arm in exasperation. “Well?” She asked, half expecting a reply. But the watch said nothing. For it was a watch. And watches are inanimate objects, which don’t have mouths (or tongues for that matter) so therefore couldn’t talk. Nadia gave a short huff and shoved the watch back into her pocket. "This is wonderful. Sirius and Kailyn are still fighting and happily not killing one another: yet, and Severus, Gwin, Leah, Peter, and James are still no where to be found. Oh yes, I'm having a grand time here."
