"Wait!" Mark was totally confused at the retreating Life assist. "Where is everyone going? Is there- is there a party I don't know about? I'm really good with parties too!"
When that got no reply, the Death assist turned to Kat. "I think they're going somewhere without us, do something!" Somehow, the logic of why Kat, if she indeed was responsible for spawning this demon creature, would want to shoot her own creation of its misery had escaped him. Unsteadily, he walked a little close to her and then whispered loudly, as encourage, "What would Clarice do?"
lividpeas Mark defends Kat (technically just by being there) for 6 damage OOC I am so sorry how do I even top these pages with What would Clarice do

Jude glanced back at Maebe after the not so pleasant poke to the a**. He gave her a stern look, "We'll talk about what I am and am not supposed to do when you outrank me."
She was too new. Too fresh.
Then she fell into a nice little stunned heap,"You did good with what you ********>"
The young man shifted gears for a moment. She was in one place. There was not much more that could hurt her, right?
Somehow he was managing to make controlled hits.

"What?" What was he going on about? Parties? Confusion was definitely starting to set in.
"I'd love to..! I can't move!" There was a reason why people should never go on boats. Things happened. All the time, and this proved it. Just barely able to cast Mark a look, she was actually shocked at what she saw. He was defending her? Wow, that was honestly something she never saw coming.
Listening, she raised a brow, still confused. "What would..? Huh?"

The world had been blackness, nothing, peaceful even.
But all at once everything came back. First consciousness returned in a flood of fear and sensory overload. She was in someone's arms, they were battlin a kraken, and the ship they were on was going down. All of this crashed through the sun hunter's mind as her eyes opened and she stared, near panicked, up into a familiar face.
She had time to smile, a subtle twitch of her lips, his name on her tongue, before the word died in her throat and her eyes went wide as something large and jagged pierced through her back, resting through her tiny body, to burst out her chest and into the young man that was holding onto her. There was no scream, barely even a noise as her lips moved, finishing the band agreed started, before she coughed, crimson painting her lips and chin. Her shield flickered, damaged, but not quite broken.
shocked, she glanced down at the blade sticking out of her chest, fingers curling tightly in Lucky's sleeve. She didn't know what to do, her mind was screaming in panic even if no sound was escaping her lips. Warrick frantic voice couldn't reach her.

With a finale last screech, the Insanity Titan curled its spines within itself before wilting into thousands, millions of pieces of grey that finally evaporated. The ship quivered again, shook-
- And then flipped over entirely.
But nothing happened. It was just grey for a moment longer. Grey, and then-
- "Memories are quite important, wouldn't you agree?" It was a figure, but it was unfamiliar. Odd and archaic, wearing armour, the epitome of a knight. He looked serious, however. "They are why we exist and serve and protect you."
They looked away. "We too need memories. There will be a time coming, a great battle that awaits us. It is your memories that play key to this event. Use them wisely because I perhaps will be able to protect you no longer down this same road."
Everything stopped again, and then the oddest thing happened. It became bright again. It became loud again, it became warm.
- Tink.
"A toast!" The Captain of the table stood up. A table that was decorated with freshly arrived food. All the Hunters were there, in their slightly ripped and torn outfits, seated in perfectly groomed seats on a perfect table in a perfectly beautiful dining room. The chandeliers, two to be exact, hung above them. The ice sculptures, perfect, every piece in tact. The waiters muttered amongst themselves as they gathered seconds, of drink and food. The music played ambiently in the background, it was bright, it was warm, it smelled of food and comfort and the high life. "A toast, to this wonderful occasion! May we have a peaceful sailing for the rest of the ship's journeys to come!"
He smiled, nodding to some of the division leaders. Caelius. H. Aria. "I must thank you for what you've done, I can't explain it but I feel a difference. Thanks again for your work, everything will be forwarded to you as promised. There is one last request though, in private..." He, his bodyguards, and the leads disappeared into another room. OOC DINNER TIME AGAIN! HOW NICE! It seems as if the little hiccup didn't actually disturb the state of the ship, maybe it was all in their minds. Well it would be, if it weren't for their torn up state of clothing and the likes. It's a good thing the waiters aren't too sharp, it looks like people seemingly dead are more than alive as they mill around and eat their dinners and swirl their wines and serve food. How interesting. TAG LOGS For those who missed the tag of the last boss fight, you can read their info HERE

It was like a sudden jerk of realities. One moment he was staring at the knightly figure and then ...
Dinner, ambient sounds, he was seated, Yom was safely tucked away, and he was next to Maebe again. His head jerked toward where the Captain sat and he just had this lost look on his face that openly read of so much confusion that he might possibly explode from it. His head jerked back over toward Maebe.
Was it a dream? Was he daydreaming about an epic battle just then?
"...You alright?" Jude murmured lowly to her.

Fedora sat in her chair, staring at the food in front of her.
Was this... real? Looking at her clothing proved her right. It was slightly mussed up and dirty from scuffling around, and glancing at other Hunters told her that she hadn't been the only one who had experienced this.
She glanced back to her food, wondering if she should eat. Should she? Act like nothing happened?
Fedora looked at Tuck, at a loss for words.

Ofelia wondered just what had happened considering the moment she smacked the thing, someone came and talked, and then...she was back at her spot at the table with Jake and Sherry. Her clothes weren't as badly torn as some of the others, the rip in the front from before and the blood from the card, but there were some areas on it that looked a little different and her hair felt like it was sticking to her back and shoulders. The Captain was saying something, saying many things, and then he left as the meal was brought out.
....odd. So very odd.
" . . .that was weird." Apparently Ofelia only felt like stating the obvious as she looked down at the food in front of her. Her stomach protested with a whine that it was hungry and needed sustenance but for some reason she felt like hesitating. Had that all really happened? It made her mind flash back to the gallery, with Mimsy and the floor, and the sun hunter simply sighed before she picked up a fork. "Cherry, Jake. Be careful." Those were her only words of warning to be given as she decided that the meal needed to be eaten.
It just wasn't in her to waste food even if she didn't know what the hell was going on.

Maebe woke up, and stared very cautiously at her surroundings. She looked to her left - Jude was murmuring, asking after her, and she nodded her head. She looked to her right - Lucky was there, as bright as ever, but he looked a mess. Really a mess. And across from her, the rest of the hunters sat, looking worse for wear but physically fine. Then she looked down at her dress, and cringed - because it was one thing to fight a monster, and live to explain the tale to the girl you borrowed a dress from. It was another entirely when the monster wasn't real. "It wasn't real." She murmured out, very quietly, at the two boys that flanked her. "Was it..?" For her first day on the job, she was getting a crash course in just how much of a ******** being a Hunter could be.

Whatever was happening, it was going way over her head now. Shooting the death assistant a look of 'what the hell just happened?' though whether it was about everything going back to normal, or him actually kind of stepping in to defend her, was unclear.
The one thing she could at least take comfort in, was knowing that she was no longer paralyzed, as she stared down at her hands, clenching and unclenching them.
Thankfully, everyone seemed to be okay. A little roughed up, and outfits a little less presentable than before, but they were still breathing.
