"Desiree wouldn't...oh." Peter was abruptly silenced. "Not here, Jess," he said, smiling at her.
"Nervous like what?" asked Ray, still hurrying along to the Common Room. "Wouldn't you be nervous too if you'd been necking with Peter's girlfriend? And Peter, too...he's dueled half our class, you know."

"Well then let's go somewhere else..." Her hand traced down the front of his shirt as she began kissing him along his jawline. "I'm sure that's what those two are off to do anyway."
"I suppose so." She was just glad that they were close to the Hufflepuff common room and she wasn't being rushed along for too much longer.

Sarah lefted the classroom last, like always. She walked out into the busy hallway and headed towards the library. However on her way to the library she stumbled apon a brewing conflict. She bowed her head and walked to them, trying her best not to draw any attention to herself.

Peter looked around for someplace to take this. "I doubt it. Ray would have told me if he was dating anyone. And even if they were, they're not the type to do anything more than hold hands," he said dismissively.
Finally, they reached the portrait. Ray mumbled the password, and the portrait swung open just in time for them to get through without hitting anything. The portrait shut behind them, and Ray finally stopped. There were only a few 2nd years, playing Gobstones. "Okay, then."

Jess shrugged and pulled away from Peter, teasing him. "Well, I don't care either way." She grabbed his hand and started dragging him up the stairs. "Come on."
"Wow...peaceful...I have to say, it gets so loud in my Common Room with those bragging Ravenclaw brainiacs all over." She took a seat on the couch and placed her bag on the floor, pulling out her Muggle Studies books.

OOC: Have I officially become ensnared into playing Peter?
Peter started up the stairs, but caught sight of his watch and let go of Jess's hand. "I can't," he said regretfully. "I've got ten minutes to be in detention...you kept me from class, remember?" he said, with a small smile.
"Not to mention Craig having a row with any non-Ravenclaw there is," answered Ray, sitting down and taking out his own book. "Muggles have some sort of law against that, don't they? Something about verbal abuse and discrimination?"

"Oh..." She pouted and gave him an innocent little look. "That's right. Well, when you're finished, meet me in the Room of Requirement." She gave him a parting kiss, which actually lasted for well over a minute.
Desiree grinned. "Yeah, but I don't think you would be able to press charges. And besides, he doesn't do that to everyone, just people he thinks are going to shag me." She got herself comfortable on the couch and started skimming through the passages they had to read. "How long is the assignment supposed to be?"

Peter grinned and started running towards DADA, making sure he waved at Jess backwards on the way.
Matt climbed to the top of the stairs and gave Jess a sly look. "The Room of Requirement, eh? Nothing inappropriate, I hope," he said innocently.
"9 1/2 inches," said Ray bitterly. "Couldn't be a decent fellow about it and chop it down to 9."

Jess gave him a lust little look and wrapped her arms around his neck as soon as Peter was out of view. "You bet." She kissed him on the cheek, then the lips, then the neck, then the lips again, before pulling away and waving goodbye to him.
"No, that would be convenient." She shook her head and took out her parchment and quill and started scribbling away, using her book as a writing surface.

Matt shook his head in disbelief, and continued walking. "You just never have enough, do you?"
Ray began to write dutifully in fairly large writing, about the types of nonmagical transportation.

"No sir." She blew a kiss over her shoulder and made her way up the stairs, sauntering like a supermodel, her hips swinging.
"Ummm...Ray?" Her eyes shifted from her parchment to her friend's. "Muggle busses aren't able to squeeze into small spaces, and planes don't use birds to get in the air."

Matt had to smile as he looked back after at her. "That's something we have in common, then!" he said, loudly. He then disappeared out of Jess's view.
Ray looked at his friend in surprise. "But I'm using a Smart-Ans--" he groaned, having been at nearly 6 inches. "I'll go get another quill. And some more parchment," he said, standing up and heading up the stairs to his dormitory.
Lynn eyed Desiree suspiciously. "So you're Ray's girlfriend, hm? I heard all about you. Ravenclaw," she said, studying the blue and silver collar of Desiree's robes. "You probably think you're so much smarter than Ray," she spat, disgustedly.

Jess rolled her eyes as she made her way to the seventh floor. Things were getting dodgy, especially with Kris after her boy toy. She needed to do something drastic.
"That's why I don't trust fake cheating devices!" She chuckled as she called up the stairs to him and returned to writing her assignment, until a girl called her again. "What? Oh...no I think Ray is incredibly brilliant. He just needs a little help with certain things, but I certainly wouldn't hold him in anything but the highest esteem, no matter what house he's in." She hadn't heard the beginning, the girlfriend part, which was probably best.

Desiree furrowed her brow and shook her head. "You should meet Craig..." She sighed and returned to her own parchment, really not feeling that this girl was worth her time. And she thought that Hufflepuffs were the friendly ones.
