I lurves my tablet. @_@ I've had it for like 3 years, and at first it was really hard to get used to, buuuut, I got used to it.
The hardest part for me is inking, though. x_x I wish I had a scanner, so I could draw and ink on paper, and scan, and computer colour. Uuugh. Inking takes so long for me with the tablet -- I can sketch pretty fast and colouring's not too bad but inking drives me mad.

More stuff from me. I r teh art-whore. Apologies to all the people I owe art to - I've had my life eaten by Final Fantasy VII, which inspired the following bit of scribbling:  Some kind of tengu-like critter, in vaguely anime style. Also, I coloured up a section of it for the purpose of making a LiveJournal icon. Of course, being STUPID, I coloured it in way more detail than strictly necessary for a 100x100 pixel icon. sweatdrop

I decided last night that mah tablet will not be used for any form of real drawing until I get better... til then it's strictly a CG tool *hopes that the scanner just hated her the last time she tried to scan and will work the next time she tries*

3nodding that's how I was when I got mai tablet. For some reason holding the pen and drawing just seemed too weird. I solved that problem by starting to use the tablet/pen for everything, surfing the web, playing games and the like. Once I got comfortabel using it for those sorts of things it became MUCH easier to draw. I don't use my mouse for anything at all now.

BUUUUH. Zahir inks so well. It makes me want to eat something chewy. *GNAWS ON TIRE* x]
Tablet talk? Me dad suddenly bought me a tablet one day. Din't even ask for it; aw, Hell, I didn't even know they existed.
Been practicing in Corel Painter Classic. It starts out all funky at first, but you'll adapt. 3nodding It's great to use for programs like OpenCanvas (my art program of choice now).
Though, before, I used the optical mouse with MSPaint. But, like the tablet, you get used to it. T'wasn't that hard, really.

Rikaru LOL, good job Zahir... xd But your drawings are the s3cks, and I really like your sketch style. Har. While we speak of mice and tablets I'm getting nostalgic here, so... This is the first thing I've ever CG'd, and I did the whole drawing by mouse. All of my CG work is done with a mouse. ninja I don't own a tablet, so it's what I've grown accustomed to. sweatdrop
But I'm at least proud of it all, so I'm content. 3nodding

But... your animals look so real, Laydee. ;___;
I think your art is "stylishly impressionistic" as opposed "sketchy". The way you use colors like that, it's so obvious that you're an artist who knows her stuff. wink
