kissmekillme unethikul Lockheed recently turned out, during Joss Whedon's run, to be a spy for the Sentient Worlds Observation, Research and Defense (S.W.O.R.D.) organization, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s space-faring sister. In exchange for reporting upon any interaction between the X-Men and any aliens, S.W.O.R.D. would help reunite him with his race. Kitty has bigger concerns, as she is comatose inside a planet-sized alien bullet that she phased through Earth. She's cruising around space, intangible, and out cold. Colossus is a Goddamn wreck, and Lockheed's not exactly welcome around the X-Men anymore. I wish I was making this up. ******** Whedon. Oh come on. Astonishing, aside from being chronically overdue, was not a bad run. It's worst issues besides tardiness was a slight reversion of all the cast back to Claremontian characterizations. And Colossus isn't a wreck. If Pete's a wreck it's because of the s**t they're doing with his sister in Limbo right now, not Kitty. He got over that when Fraction had him save some little girl's kitty from a tree. I really enjoyed the hell out of Whedon's run, even though it WAS laughably late, although I attribute that to John "I draw two pages of Planetary a year, don't ******** rush me" Cassaday. That ending pissed me off though. I love how Fraction's writing Colossus, but unless I missed something, I don't think he's exactly back to himself yet.

"Back to himself?" LOL. From what you say, he's off moping/brooding. Considering that's about all Colossus ever does, I'd say he's quite in character.

I stopped watching Buffy after Angel left and then I didn't watch Angel because something else was on...but a lot of people loved that show. I love David Boreanaz! <333
Buffy just sucked after David left. I didn't care for that govt agency and her boyfriend was just.....ugh. Who is this guy? Anyway. I watched the rest of Buffy on reruns on another station (I think because there was nothing else on at 6 am and I had to get up early or something.) Man, was her sister ANNOYING. Waaah wah waaaah. Geez. THEN they totally messed up Spike's character. Now he's fawning over Buffy, all sad and emo. wtf?! Spike was one of the best characters! ugh
I watched parts of Angel and it was pretty good but the whole strange vampire/baby story arch was too AU for me. Sometimes Whedon gets it and sometimes he doesn't. It was just too off the mark. Maybe Dollhouse will fare well? iduno

Spike was emo? We must have watched completely different series. Yeah, the season with Riley sucked, but it got better after that. The only thing that still grates on me is lesbian!Willow. If she had just been so in love with Tara that she was willing to go gay for her, I could understand. If she was BISEXUAL, I could understand. I, however, do NOT understand how a girl who has harbored feelings for her male best friend since the age of FIVE suddenly turns gay. WTF, Whedon? Did you just need a token gay character?
Angel's first season was good. Pretty much sucked balls after that until Spike got shipped over in a box. I just can't take the whining.

I think we were watching different shows, because Angel's first season was AWFUL, with one or two shining moments. Like most Whedon shows, it hit its climax with season two.

Yeah! And then he put Xander with an eyepatch! XD Wtf?! I think Xander was kicked too far to the side for some reason. He was a great character! I kinda liked the Xander/Willow romance but it was very short lived. Willow and Seth were a great couple but then he left suddenly. Did he ever come back (to either Buffy or Angel)?
Maybe emo is the wrong word. Spike was more of a pansy for Buffy. I think the show wanted another vampire/Buffy romance which turned out rather mixed with the fans. Some people liked it and others didn't.

Oz. His name was Oz. And he came back for one episode. He found out Willow was gay, went feral, and left again. Xander/Willow is somewhat frustrating. I was always waiting for them to get the whole dating thing over with and realize they were perfect for each other. But no... Willow's gay. In all fairness, she's changed so much that they might not make that great of a couple, anymore... but it still makes no sense that Willow just turned lesbian overnight.
And I think you're conveniently forgetting a large part of Spike's character because you don't like him paired with Buffy. He was the exact same way with Drusilla. He's been letting women he loves take advantage of him for a few centuries, now. And let's not forget the nickname "William the Bloody" has nothing to do with vampirism.
Xander gets a lot more facetime in the comics. He's BFF's with Dracula. It's awesome.

Oh no, I remembered Drusilla. xp But I think he was less possessive of her than he was with Buffy (shut up! it makes senses!! XDD Okay, not really. I saw it but he was better with Dru and I thought he was more in character. I can't give you a specific instance, though, since I can't remember.) I also thought him and Buffy were more of a gaff than a relationship.
Oh yeah! Oz! Man, I haven't watched Buffy in forever and I did hear about the comic but I never read it.
