At the bottom of the stairs, he pushed open a large, wooden door. "The parlor is through here. I believe you will find the chess board and pieces already set up. Would you be upset if I poured myself a glass of wine? You are, of course, more than welcome to anything in my home, should I offer or not. I will do my best to remember that which you can and cannot partake in."

"I would never invite an inconvenience to play chess with me." Sinthos smiled and poured the rich red liquid into his silvery goblet and took a swig. "Ah...a good vintage..."

Firebolt sifted uncomfortable, suddenly well reminded of her metallic form. It was like when she was young and saw her siblings eating, drinking, and enjoying it so much. She shook her head, she'd accepted long ago that she was different. There was nothing that could change that.

Sinthos pulled out a chair on one side of his chessboard. "O dark beauty, are you prepared?" Noticing her change, he thought it best to get on with the game. "If I thought it would not offend you, I would say I'll go easy on you until you're quite adept at Chess. But I do not think you would appreciate such a comment."
