Atticus would smile and nod as Shira got a little mad that he had tuned out most of what she said. "All right, I'll pay attention this time." Arriving at the camp, Atticus just stood there and waved, "Hi, we didn't miss anything did we?" he asked as he looked at Mirai and then Eric, "You weren't doing anything to my sister, were you?" Atticus asked.

Oh, we're going to do more than insult him kid, Harold actively thought to her. We're going to hang him by his entrails. In front of you if it happens. And if you get involved you'll do more than "almost die". Better start thinking about what you want on his tombstone. Eric said nothing, but looked over at Shira and Atticus as they approached. "You caught me Atticus. I was actually about to teach her the finer points of head-butting," Eric said jokingly.

He thought about the idea of forming a team and resonating with Kyo and Atticus. He didn't know Kyo at all or what it would be like. Now that he thought about it he didn't even know what kind of Weapon Kyo was. Atticus was a sword which was a Weapon he was perfectly familiar with and he grinned at the thought of how B.A. a fight would be with them as a team. But Atticus had madness and Eric had madness and both of them had a roommate in their souls. He wondered if them resonating would be too much. If Harold managed to come out that could be worked with, but Sanctum was a different story. He could tell that Harold was already in love with the idea.

"If you're talking about forming a team, then you're talking about a special mission," Eric said as he looked at Shira. "Does that mean focusing exclusively on the three eyes? Or is this a long-term proposition?"

Once more, Atticus tuned out most if what Shira had said, but this time it wasn't because he found it boring, it because he had already figured that out, but he would speak up once she mentioned Mirai. "I thought i made it clear, Mirai will not be joining us." he said as he looked over at Mirai. "Despite training with Divine, I will not allow her to participate in any battles, she is still inexperienced and her powers are still not fully matured. As he brother, it is my role to protect her and guide her, I am not going to let her fight and become something like Divine." Atticus said as he seemed dead-set on not having her join them.

Harold's mental grin grew as he saw Marai roll her eyes. You should help actually, he told her. After all, your entire conception was just your dad's plan to con your mom. But it looks like that kind of stupid runs in the family huh? Don't worry, I'm sure he'll use you up and toss you away like the piece of trash you are when he's good and ready. Eric winced and put one hand over his ear as Harold's madness energy underwent a sudden, momentary spike.

Cool it Harold, Eric thought to him. He nodded at Shira's statement. "Fair enough," he said. He was personally against Marai joining as well, since he was fairly positive Harold would attempt to kill her as soon as he got the freedom of movement. "Marai will just be a distraction to Atticus," he agreed. "Don't worry, loneliness isn't really something I'm prone to."

Eric gripped his other ear as Marai sent her telepathic pulse. Ow! There are you happy Harold? he thought to him, annoyed. Harold winced slightly at the high-pitched noise, but growled when it was over. That's it? Hell no I'm not happy! Harold responded.

You said if she had the guts to retaliate you'd accept her on the team, Eric replied, annoyed. Throwing telepathic spitballs is NOT retaliation. I have a migraine. That wouldn't even slow you down in battle. I insulted her in almost every way possible. She just took it. She retaliated with an attack and insulted you back. That's what you wanted her to do. That was your requirement for her joining the team. That wasn't an "attack".

Eric sighed as he rubbed his head again. You really think she won't be a help because she didn't pass your standards? I don't trust anyone that doesn't have a spine. That doesn't mean she doesn't have- She hid behind a mental barrier instead of fighting back. She doesn't have a spine. Or she's weak. Either way, she'll slow us down. If I get my paws on her, I'll do everyone a favor when I crush her bones. Just because she looks like a little girl doesn't mean she is one. In the end that's what she is. Too much of one. According to you. According to me. Eric felt the headache slowly receding. He didn't want to agree with Harold, but Harold was very familiar with what it took to survive brutal battles. Despite Harold's brutal tests, he just didn't want her with them if it would get her or them killed, reasonably enough.

Eric shook his head and lowered his hands, annoyed at Harold. "She shouldn't come with us," he repeated sadly. "It's too much for her."

Eric was deep in thought with Harold and didn't notice Marai's telekinetic force until it was upon him. He looked over in time to see it crash against him and flew backwards, somersaulting in the air once before landing face-down on the ground. He lay there unmoving and silent as he listened to Marai and Shira speak. Not because he couldn't get up; he just didn't bother to.

When she finished speaking, he continued his conversation with Harold. Happy now? Very. "Yeah, she can be on the team," he said, his voice muffled by the ground. He sounded pleased. He sat up and then got to his feet, brushing himself off. She has what it takes. Eric nodded.
