Bana smiled happily when Yuki said going back to the others. "YAY! We get to see Miss Irene and Mister Niko again!" Bana cheered happily seeing as had no idea what was going on between all the people except a battle was won by the city.

Niko was surprised by the hug, but didn't try to push her away. After a moment, he raised one hand and gently brushed away the tears gathering at the corners of her eyes. Her head against his chest was making it a tad hard to breath, but he didn't mind. "I'm fine... I'm sorry for scaring you..." He said softly, still with no idea what had happened; though Shadow could see out of his eyes when he wished, the opposite was not true for Niko.
Yuki smiled at Bana's oblivious enthusiasm; the child was just too adorable. She led the mare towards the forest. "Maybe one day we can go back and you can say hi to Minx, hm?" Heathenrow was always a nice place to be, she just wished that they hadn't had to leave Niko outside, or him and Irene wouldn't have to be in such danger.

Irene smiled a bit and looked over at him. She sat up so if he chose Niko could do the same. She wiped the remaining tears. "It wasn't your fault Niko." Irene recalled everything that happened, and looked excited with new news. "Niko, the weirdest things happened! Mariah went out of her way to help someone, and I've never seen her so scared in my life! But that's not all, Shadow seemed angry at Mariah, as if he was furious of her talking about killing you. And some people from Heathenrow fought Shadow and won! The won Niko, with light magic! That's how you got here. I was so afraid the fall might have..."

"Ya, that would be realy fun Miss Yuki." Bana's tail wagged happily thinking about it. "To bad mister Niko dosnt like big crowds. He seems like the kinda person who would like that place." Bana said half thinking about it

Niko looked surprised with the news. He careful sat up, wincing slightly. He couldn't imagine Mariah helping someone, and from Irenes expression neither could she. It was easy enough to imagine her scared; Shadow could be terrifying. But why would Shadow care if he died? He had also noticed that sudden spike in anger at Mariahs words, but had never connected it with her plan of killing him. That would take some looking into.
He wasn't so surprised that the mages from Heathenrow could defeat Shadow. "Shadow was always horrible against light and healing..." He said softly. "Normal attacks don't hurt him, but if you can catch him with light then he can't do anything. The people at Heathenrow know that... They've fought him before..." He winced again, then slowly stood up ignoring the pain. He smiled at Irene, trying to show her he was alright.
Yuki nodded slightly at Banas words. "Maybe one day we can show him inside Heathenrow," She said, half to Bana, half to herself. Hopefully. Although their chances of seperating Niko from Shadow were looking pretty slim. She held the book on dark magic tightly as she led the mare through the trees. The sun was slowly setting on the horizon; they'd have to find some place to settle down for the night. But first they had to find Irene and Niko. Looking up, Yuki heard voices up ahead. Coming into a clearing, she saw Niko and Irene. "There you are," She said, relief evident in her voice.

When Bana saw Irene and Niko she jumped off the horse and ran over to them. "MISS IRENE! MISTER NIKO! Are you guys alright? Where you guys in the fight with that big demon in the sky?" Bana asked curious on what all was happening sence Yuki hadnt answered a single question during the time. "Miss Irene did you know the demon cause you seemed to be on his side... oh sorry about the city winning... But the city was awsome! You two dont know what you missed! Their were all kinds of people and a big dragon in a wall! It was Awsome!" Bana rambled happily as tried to tell about the place as quickly as possible.

Irene felt trapped as she tried to come up with some sort of explanation. "We're fine guys, thanks for coming to see us. And well it's just... I didn't want the demon to hurt anyone so I tried to drive them away." Irene was amazed by her ability to get out of these situations. "He already hurt Niko and... So I didn't think they could beat him. I guess I was wrong though." Irene took a big breath, trying to calm herself down.
Mariah was back at her hideout with Listu over her shoulder. Mariah laid Listu down on a spare bed, thinking what was best for her was rest. Mariah healed Listu's wounds with her own healing magic. A kind of healing that would only heal evil seeing as it was fuled by hatred. She looked at the other bandits and dismissed them all. "We rest! I have to think, so do not disturb me. Whoever does without reason will suffer the consequences."

Niko smiled slightly at how excited Bana was. Glancing over at Irene, he nodded slightly, hoping that Bana beleived her. It was getting harder and harder to hide from the child the truth, about Shadow. It was only a matter of time before they messed up and Bana became suspicious. Thank goodness she was so oblivious to everything, or she'd have suspicions already.
Yuki looked up at the sky. "You both okay to walk? We should get away from the area a bit, then set up camp for the night. It'll be dark soon."
((Geez, I just realized that all the roleplaying we've been doing was all in one day sweatdrop This is the first nightfall we've had.))

"Oh, okay then." Bana said as thought about it. 'So it must have been a bad demon then.' Bana thought than looked at Niko. "Are you okay mister Niko? The demon didnt hurt you to badly did it?" Bana asked.
Listu opened her eyes and sat up taking in the new place she was in. Listu lifted her arms and looked at them surprised that she wasnt dead from the attack she took. Listu looked around and noticed she didnt have her scythe. 'Dangit. Guess this means I'll have to side track to get it after all this. If nothing else I can improvise.' Listu thought as brought a small flame up in her plam, making sure her powers were doing ok.

"So you're okay then, good." Mariah said hidden in the darkness of the room.
Irene nodded a bit. "Okay, camp sounds good." IRene turned to Niko. "Are you able to walk Niko?"

Niko smiled slightly at the both of them. "Don't worry, I'm fine." There was still a steady ache throughout his body — He had fallen from quite a height after all — But it was manageable. He was determined that they didn't waste any time in getting away from the area. Mariah and her bandits might still be around, and sooner or later someone from Heathenrow would come looking for Shadow.
Yuki glanced up at the sky again. "Let's go then," She said, also eager to be away. He lead her mare down the paht away from Heathenrow, the mares reigns in one hand and the book in the other. She saw Niko glance at the book, but was thankful when he didn't say anything. She'd explain it to them later, when Bana was either out of hearing or asleep.

Irene smiled and followed. She hoped everything will be okay.
Mariah made a forced frown. "Look, I was only returning the favor. You saved my neck first and I don't 'do' thank-yous." Mariah looked uncomfortable. Like that wasn't a good enough reason. "Besides, I said I'd pay you. I never back down on my word and how do I pay you if you're dead?"

"Very well." Listu stood up and stretched ignoring any small pains left from the battle. 'It will be easier to pick up the scythe if its in the direction I'm most likly to travel' Listu thought as did a small spell that seemed to do aboslutly nothing "What shall be our next step? Getting that demon to join seems out of the question right now." Listu asked.
Bana smiled happily then ran over to Yuki so was walking next to her. "Where are we going now miss Yuki?" Bana asked happily wondering if there were more places like Heathenrow that Yuki wanted to go to. Then Bana stopped walking and noticed her bracelet glowing slightly. "Huh? I'll be right back." Bana said as ran off in the direction of where the battle was.
When Bana got there she was surprised by what seemed to have happened there. Bana's eyes focused on the scythe and walked over and picked it up as her bracelet stopped glowing. Bana was a bit wobbly since it was for someone much taller than her. 'Mommy?' Bana thought as looked at it.

Mariah sighed. "You're right... I need another plan. I can't control this mediocre world with power like theirs. Especially Irene and that demon's." Mariah looked to Listu, as if looking for inspiration on what to do next.
