Treacherous Desire Veelah Hrm. Odd. Well, it's a comedy. Two cops, one from Quebec and one from Ontario, and they're both assigned the same case. Both very stereotypical of the people in their provinces. It's made here, but it was supposed to come out all over Canada last week... I saw the ad for that. As soon as they said Quebec I was all "yeah. Cop movie. In Canada. COME ON. We all know that all the good copper movies are of corruption in third world countries. Or just Phili. or Miami. Or New York. Or Chicago. Detroit...." I love it when the pizza place ******** up. They do that to us a lot. They give us the wrong pizza, we go out, get in the car, discover it's the wrong pizza, go back in, tell them it's the wrong pizza and then they have to give us 2 MORE pizzas. So instead of 2 for the Price of 1 you get 4 for the price of 1. They aren't allowed to take back pizza and give it to somebody else. We *pizza hut* take back pizzas... then eat them.

We don't have a PIzza Hut.
We have a ...
2 for 1.
So when they mess up you get 4 for one.
And hope the one they give you is the superexpensive one.
Kitchen sink. Good.
But stupidly expensive.

That story reminded me of my dad, when they changed the apple fritters at Timmie's. Suddenly one night they weren't big apple- and cinnamon-filled balls of dough, they were honeydip-coloured rectangles, with a few apple peals inside. My dad was thoroughly disgusted, so we ate two thirds of the box, brought them back and demanded another one, with better apple fritters.

That's because suddenly one night, every store in the country switched from the scratch bake to "Always Fresh Baking". It was intended to improve quality control, but it really just pissed people off. I'm sick of people coming into my store and staring at the display case and then ranting to me about how "the donuts used to be twice the size they are now and now they taste funny and what am I going to do to appease them?" etc. It makes me laugh. People, you're ranting to a grunt. I have less say than even you do. Don't complain to the people who have no control, I had nothing to do with it. Jeebus. rolleyes cheese_whine

Mmm, yeah. FYI though, all he did when he got there was show the lady at the counter how empty they were, and she was as mystified as he was. :/

I've gotten boston creme donuts twice with no filling. Of course, by the time I realize that there's no filling, there's only a bite left of the donut, so it makes things a little difficult in regards to bringing them back for another sweatdrop

Actually, the customer isn't always right. The customer isn't always right, but the customer is never wrong.

It's just a policy. The customer's always right. Obviously the customer's wrong sometimes too.

Haha! I've done that a few times... put donuts out without filling them. Someone usually points it out before long, though. sweatdrop KD, if you take it back, they'll give you a new one no problem. The staff don't care. We get them for free at my store anyways, so it's not a big deal. 3nodding

Around here, staff at Tim Hortons aren't allowed to have free baked goods. Everything gets thrown out at the end of they day, and staff can get fired if they take anything. A friend of mine had to throw out an entire cake once, she wasn't allowed to even take a piece of it. sad
